We meet again

Both Ashley and I knew this was a wrong idea but all her friends seemed to be occupied tonight. I was the last person she wants there tonight. We were both anticipating. What will I do? I looked at her pretty face and felt bad because her date will end early. I watched as she stepped out of the driver's seat, Johnny was there to help her out. He was surprised to see me. He knew my problem. Was he scared of being embarrassed? Oh God I hate myself. I followed them inside my eyes down and being extra careful not to bump into anyone, a male to be precise. I sat and was introduced to Johnny all again. Why all these manners and courtesies?

He stretched out his hand and I almost left it hanging but I took it. I pulled back immediately and looked around for a way to escape. If I try to get up, I will make the situation worse.

"Sorry I am late" someone said from behind me.

I felt relieved. Without turning I knew it was Alexander. I relaxed immediately. What is he doing here? Who is he? What kind of power does he have over me? I bowed my head in shame and guilt. Johnny introduced him to Ash and was in the middle of my introduction when....

"Molly is that you?" He asked

I couldn't tell if it was shock anger or pain I heard in his voice. I just nodded and took my drink. Jonny and Ashley excused themselves from the table and i knew this was the time to settle things with Alex.

"About yesterday..." We both said simultaneously

"You first ...." We said in unison again

I laughed at this.

" Alright, ladies first." He said finally.

I mustered courage and decided this was for the best.

"I didn't know you would be around that is why I got down in the towel. It's all my fault." I said softly

"You are not at fault. We didn't plan that, some things just happen. I am also sorry for getting ahead of myself. I am sorry for urm.... erhhh.. sorry for ruining your maiden head." He said finally.

I nearly choked on the drink. Maiden what? Before I could put my words together, Ash and Johnny were back. Ash might have noticed the awkwardness because she asked if I was alright and didn't want to leave.

" I am okay" i spoke the opposite of what I felt.

We chattered on for hours. Finally time to go. Alexander was about hugging me when Johnny pulled him back. I led the way to the car park and waited for Ash in the car. Oh those two, they say goodbye like one of them is about to die.

" I knew you would make it."Ashley said immediately she sat down and pulled me into a hug.

I felt like telling her how i was able to control myself. But I didn't understand the phenomenon myself so I kept quiet.
