Promise

High in the mountains, past the bare rock and the snow covered trees a small boy sat outside of a large cave, one of his dads sat out beside him, keeping the curious little 10 year old Demon out of the cave while the boys other dad and his mother stayed inside the cave. The boys mother was screaming currently, the doctor that had been brought up to help her was talking loudly, trying to sooth the pain filled female while she gave birth for the third time in her life.

"Daddy why's mommy screaming?" Little Frost asked, looking up at his dad. The large white and green Demon smiled softly at his son and he nuzzled the worried little boy to try to sooth him.

"Mommy's not feeling too good right now, she's bringing your new little brother or sister into the world." The large Demon smiled softly and he carefully adjusted the little winter hat and scarf his son liked to wear. Frost was quite small for a Demon his age but Avalanche wasn't too worried, for a half human half demon little Frost Bite was bound to be smaller then most.

"i'm getting a new little brother or sister?" Frost asked, growing excited at the thought of having someone to play with. It was lonely being up here on the mountain, he wasn't allowed to go down past the snow, his dads and mom said that it was too dangerous for him down there, he had been reminded constantly by all 3 of his parents that if he was to see another human like his mum then he had to get away from them as fast as possible because humans could be really really dangerous towards young demons.

Another round of screaming made Avalanche pause in his reply but the next sound made him rise to his feet, a tiny cry, the sound of a newborn. Avalanche moved his young son onto his back and made his way into the cave, the ground was covered in furs to help hold in the heat and near the back there was several large fire's crackling cheerfully away inside a hole raised about 6 feet in the wall. In the middle of the room there was a sunken bed, it too was covered in thick fur blankets and soft pillows. Laying on one side of that bed was another Demon, he was covered in white scales and his hair was a light icy blue, the same color as his eyes.

The twin Demons stared at each other for a moment as Avalanche approached the bed, little Frost peeked over his dads shoulder and looked around curiously. The doctor that one of the older Demons had brought up from the village was packing her tools away, she seemed awful nervous being so close to adult Demons but she was toughing it out to stay close to the human woman that was tucked into the large bed, surrounded by blankets and panting softly as she held two small bundles to her chest. The female looked up at the approaching Demon and she smiled lovingly at him. "twins... we have two baby's" She looked back down at the two newborns, a happy, warm expression on her face.

Avalanche set Frost down on the ground when he finally got to be beside his brother and wife, little Frost was passed off to his other dad and Avalanche leaned down to kiss his wife's head and then look down at the newborns, one was a little boy, a tiny blue baby demon and beside him.... a little human face, with pale skin and soft little tufts of snow white hair.

"a little human.." Avalanche smiled softly and he leaned down to kiss the little Demons head and then the little humans, "how do you feel Alana?" he asked, laying down beside his wife and curling protectively around her and the newborns.

"tired... in pain... but happy... i feel so happy Avi..." Alana smiled softly up at one of her husbands, she reached out slightly and kissed the large Demons lips. "i love you so much Avi..." she said, then turned to the other Demon in the room. "Blizzard..." she reached out for the other Demon and he moved instantly to his wife's side. "i love you so much Blizzard" she whispered softly, kissing his lips too and then gesturing to little Frost to come closer. "do you want to come meet your new little brother and sister Frosty?"

Little Frost nodded, wiggling free from his fathers grip he moved close to his mom, sitting down beside her to look curiously at the two new babies. "wow..." he whispered softly, reaching out to touch the little female human only to pull quickly away. he didnt want to hurt her by accident.

"This is your new little brother and sister Frost... you gotta be careful with them okay?"

"okay mommy, i'll keep them safe. i promise."
