The Omegas Unknown Destiny

*Authors note* Hey guys, my name is Valerie and this is my first time writing, so any notes would be helpful. I'm not sure if this is going to be a series or not yet, but I'm still developing the characters as I go. Thank you for reading and pay attention to the warnings, there will be quite a few in these first few chapters. !!!!!This first section contains s****l assault and violence, including blood description, so this is a trigger warning!!!!!! *Regals POV* My dreams are getting worse again, they come and go every so often. I can never see their faces, but I always get this warm but terrifying feeling. The feeling of knowing, but the terror of not knowing. Always standing over me, trying to speak, but no sound coming out of their blurred faces. Suddenly, I was pulled from my dream and had sweat covering my body, my blond hair soaked and now sticking to every muscle down my back. It's 4:30 in the morning, so I decided to take a quick shower before everyone else woke up and there wasn't any hot water left. After my shower, I use the omega stairs to go up to the kitchen to find Ruthe, the lead Omega, who gives me a small smile and nods to the freshly made pot of coffee. I grabbed a cup and sat across from her at the table. She was looking over everyone's tasks for the day and filling in the few blank spots. "You have the alpha floors today with John and Mayble" she said, never looking up from her paperwork. Her voice was gentle but powerful. I nodded and went to start on breakfast for the omegas since it was almost 5:30 and the other omegas would start to wake up soon. My life as an Omega has always been normal, well, from my perspective, normal. I’ve never been to another pack to find out how life is outside of these pack walls. The Alpha's son, Jake, is taking over in two weeks, the same day as my birthday. Everyone was going to be busy with the ceremony and I would just have to spend my birthday and my wolf day cleaning up after everyone else who was in the pack, but that was okay. I suppose I never liked the spotlight anyway. I was excited to get my wolf and see what I would look like if I ever got the chance to shift. I had always hoped I would be an ordinary but beautiful wolf, but I guess I would have to wait to see. My Mother Anne's wolf was named Alice and was a medium beautiful brown with spots of red in her fur and forest green eyes. My father's wolf was named Aiden and was slightly bigger than my mother and was a beautiful black wolf with spots of gray showing from older age, but still strong and glorious with sky blue eyes. Everyone else in the pack that I have seen shift has pretty much been brown and black like my fathers except for Alpha James and his son Jake, who were both a majestic blue and silver hue and were bigger than the other wolves in the pack. Jakes Wolf was slightly different from his father, with hints of a light purple in his fur and he was handsome in wolf form and his wolf seemed kinder than Jake himself and bowed to his people when he had shifted hands where Jake, he was just plain rude and ignorant. We all knew as a pack that Jake was not ready to take over the pack, but Alpha James thought he was. Jake would bring the pack down before it could even become of his name. Because he was the next Alpha, every girl swooned over him and just wanted to be the next bedroom gossip. I just wanted to do my job and go back to the basement with my parents. I was an only child. My mother said I had a brother before, but he didn't make it past birth unfortunately. I had hoped one day I would find my mate and be able to leave Silver Lake. I never felt like I had belonged here with my mother and father, who had been here since birth and had found each other in the pack. When breakfast was done and all cleaned up, we had to make breakfast for Alpha and Luna and their son, Jake and Betta and Gamma, Josh and Thomas. Josh and Alpha James were best friends before the title was passed to Alpha James from his father, so, naturally, Josh was granted the Betta position and was Alpha James's right-hand man for everything. Gamma Thomas was also a very good friend of Alpha James and was Luna Jasimen's guardian when Alpha James was away on pack business. I've always heard that the mate bond is very powerful, even when you are far away from someone you have already mated with, but the Gamma bond between the Luna and Gamma of a pack is sacred because the Gamma swears to put the Luna and Alpha before anyone else, including their own mates and families. It's not without pain for the Gamma though, because even though it is a very respected duty, it also pulls on the Gamma because when the pack is in danger, he will have to protect the Luna, even at the risk of his own family. Gamma Thomas unfortunately had to suffer this bond first hand when a rough attack happened three years ago and his mate and two children were killed while he was protecting the Luna and Jake. Gamma Thomas has never been the same ever since. Now, he is more quiet and reserved and only available for his duty to Luna Jasimen and Alpha James. Second-chance mates are very rare in the wolf world. The moon goddess chooses the one person for you that she is sure will match you one hundred percent. A mate is meant to compliment you, they are meant to be the other part of you that you didn't know existed until they came along, it is meant for you to find your best in a person even when you don't know them at all, they could be complete strangers to you until you've become mates, until that destined word comes out from your wolf claiming he has found his other half. The wolf part in us is very much just one within us. They are the animalistic part of us. They help us go through life once we reach 18. They are our protectors and meant to be our best friends within us. I can't wait to find my mate. When Omegas find their mate in Silver Lake, they are granted a room of their own, and when they bore a child, then they are granted a room that is big enough to raise their family. Inside our room there are 2 small bedrooms, a bathroom big enough to just shower in which we all three share, and 2 closets that are just big enough to hold our clothes. My bedroom was my sanctuary, it was the only place anymore where I could be myself without anyone judging me or telling me that I should act like an Omega and be the trash I am.That's how they truly saw us, they just saw us as the people who cook and clean up after them. My parents blamed me for being an omega. My father always told me that we came from a different pack but that Alpha James had started a war with our pack and that he won and now we have to live here. We weren't part of some big family here with the Alpha and Luna, we were just their quiet slaves who did what they had to just to survive. After breakfast is served to the ranked members, I go to find John and Mayble, who are in the kitchen listening to Ruthe explain everyone's jobs for the day. John, who was only 15, was short and had dark brown hair and hazel eyes, was very quiet and a lot of the time you didn't even know that he was there. Mayble was 13 and was average height and had long dirty blond hair that went past her thighs, so she always had to keep it up to keep it from getting in her way. She was brought here 9 years ago when she was only 4. Her parents had been from another pack that Alpha James had taken over but were killed in the war between Silver Lake and The Blue moon pack. She has been an omega because that is what her parents were before they perished.I was only 8 when she was brought here and we got to play till I turned 10 and had to jump into officially becoming an Omega. After I began as an omega, we didn't get to see each other like we used to. I had the chance every once in a while to have her clean with me in the packhouse, but most of the time she was on laundry duties and I was normally cleaning other rooms, such as guest rooms, and the ranked members' rooms and bathrooms. After Ruthe was done explaining everyone's duties for the day, John, Mayble and I grabbed some cleaning carts and headed to the ranked members' floor to start cleaning. The ranked members floor was meant only for Alpha James, Luna Jasemine, their son, and visiting Alphas and Lunas. The packhouse contained 5 floors and a basement, so basically 6 floors in total. Since the ceremony was two weeks away, we had gotten started on deep cleaning every part of the house, so when the day of the ceremony came we only had to worry about the kitchen, dining hall, and the ballroom, along with still cleaning up after everyone attended the ceremony. We headed towards the service elevator that was only for Omegas and service men. When we reached the Alphas Floor, I had an iced shiver down my spine and felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up along with every other hair on my body. My dream came back to me from that night. I was frozen with fear and didn't know why. I assume that my face showed my fear because Mayble touched my arm, her warm soft hand bringing me back to reality. She had worry and concern in her eyes when mine finally met hers. I brushed it off and told her I was alright and she gave me a confused, but understanding nod and we continued out of the elevator and started down the hall to the furthest room. Jake's Room. The bathroom was by far the most disgusting room of them all. There were dirty clothes everywhere, toothpaste and hair were stuck to the counter and the mirror, and inside of the sink. The shower had women's hair stuck to the walls and the toilet looked grotesque. Nonetheless, John and Mayble got to work cleaning it all up and I started on Jake's room, which also had clothes flung everywhere, heels left on the floor, most likely from whatever random girl he brought home from the bar, who had forgotten her shoes and bra. The blankets were thrown off the bed along with the pillows, the sheet was half on the bed looking like someone ransacked the place. I cleaned the room and put fresh sheets and pillows and blankets and picked everything up and put it in my laundry bag on my cart to take down to the laundry room after we were done on this floor. The shiver in my spine never left me, it made my stomach turn into knots and I was beginning to feel like I couldn't breathe. Panic set in further when the door handle to Jakes' room began to turn to open the door.. I hurriedly grabbed the rest of the things I had out and put them in the appropriate place on my cart and ran into the bathroom just as the door opened. I grabbed Mayble and John and told them we needed to leave if they were done and they nodded and put the cleaning supplies on the cart, desperation growing on my face that had now no color in it. Jake walked into the bathroom yelling at us to get the F..uck out of his room. We hurriedly grabbed our carts and tried to leave. Mayble and John managed to get out before the door slammed in front of them. Jake was now standing there infront of me with such a rage in his eyes, I froze. I felt like my body betrayed me, I couldn't breathe, I couldn't even blink. I just stood there frozen for what felt like hours, but I'm sure it was only a few seconds before seeing black and drifting into a forced sleep. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Maybles POV* The door slammed so hard that it shook the whole floor. I froze as soon as the door slammed shut, knowing that Regal was in there, knowing that Jake was going to do something that wasn't right. I told John to stay up on the ranked members floor and start cleaning the other rooms. Panic was set in his eyes while he nodded his head. As soon as I watched him shut the door to one of the guest rooms I mind-linked Ruthe, hoping she could hear the panic in my voice. "Ruthe" "yes Mayble" " We were in Alpha Jakes' room cleaning and he came in furious and told us to leave and shut Regal in. I can't reach her through mindlink" She paused for a long time... "What?!" "I told John to go start cleaning one of the other rooms. I don't know what to do, the door is locked and I still can't reach her through the mind-link and I don't want to make him even more mad." "Go with John, I will mind-link the Alpha and Luna. Thank you" "Okay" She cut the mindlink. I couldn't hear anything on the other side of the door and started to panic and couldn't find it in me to move my feet. I don't know how long I stood frozen in fear there until I heard Alpha James yell so loudly it again shook the floor. I heard him open the office door and start to go up the elevator and fly into the room I had seen John go into, praying and holding my breath that I had not been seen. *Alpha James' POV* "These are the reports from this month on expenses." Josh my Betta was telling me about the monthly report for the packhouse,"So are you ready to step down from being Alpha and hand it over to Jake?" he chuckled. I told Jasimine that I would hand over the title to Jake on his 21st birthday, but he didn't have his mate and honestly I was worried that he wouldn't be ready to handle it. I love my son but I needed him to see that he had to reign over the pack with an iron fist, he had to put fear into these people or they wouldn't take him seriously. But I know his anger would get the best of him when he didn't get what he wanted, whether it was in alpha meetings, or whether it was against his mother when she tried to tell him he would have to choose a Beta and Gamma soon. He didn't want a beta or gamma because he said it would make him weak, that he didn't want to rely on someone to do the work he was capable of. But he wasn't ready, and I was worried this pack would suffer and everything I put into it wouldn't last. My father had done the same to me. He threw me into the pack when he was tired of handling everything, but I turned the pack into a strong pack, one I could trust on the battlefield, I could trust that no one would double cross me like so many other other packs had turned on their Alpha. "Yes and No" I chuckled, " he's ready. But I still have my fears as a father". I gave him a small, tight smile. I looked up from the papers Josh had handed me, just as I was getting ready to ask him something, I felt the floor above me shake. Confused, I looked at Josh and he went into battle mode thinking someone was attacking us, but I unfortunately heard that rumble when I heard it. It was Jake, and he was angry with someone. I told Josh not to worry and that it was just Jake throwing a temper tantrum and continued on with our conversation into the ceremony and about who was going to be coming. "Alpha, its Ruthe" I sigh, I hated being bothered by the Omegas. But Ruthe was my head omega and she never bothered me unless it was urgent. "This had better be an important truth. I'm in a meeting right now." " Yes sir, one of the 3 of the omegas I put in charge of cleaning the ranked members' floor said that Jake had locked one of them in his room." Anger boiled in my blood. When I meant you have to put fear in the omegas, I didn't mean r**e and beat them! "I will handle it." my wolf's voice now merged into my own voice. " Yes sir. I'm sorry sir". You could hear the fear in her voice from me screaming into her mind. "Don't mind linking me again." "yes sir." I glared at Josh, rage burning through me as I fought my wolf for control over my body. "My angry son has locked an Omega in his room." I said calmly, but my tone said it all for me to Josh. He knew what my voice was saying even though I didn't have to raise it. Josh went into warrior mode. I rose from the chair behind my desk and we hurried to the elevator and I pressed floor 5 to the bedrooms where all of us ranked members would sleep. I catch a glimpse of someone shutting one of the guest room doors and don't bother to look to see who it is, knowing it's probably an omega. We walked up to Jakes' door and I heard something hit the ground, so I banged on the door, demanding to be let into the room. Getting angrier at every pound on the door. After a few angry grunts and another loud thud hit the ground in his room and he finally opens the door, his hair is desheveled and his shirt is off. I grabbed him by his throat and threw him down the hall, shattering a frame on the wall. Jasimine rushes out of the elevator as our son hits the wall. She goes running to him. I ran inside the room and saw a girl who was scrawny and tiny with a gashing head wound and a bruise on her face. She was lying naked on the floor, her clothes ripped off and thrown to the side. Completely shredded. "GO GET THE PACK DOCTOR NOW!" I screamed at no one in particular, this girl losing blood faster than she could replace. She can't have a wolf because she shouldn't be losing this much blood if she did.
