"Giraffes are my favorite animals" he spoke as we walked through the zoo currently at the giraffe section.

"Why is that"? I asked .

"I don't know to be honest I had this stuff giraffe growing up...." he stopped talking took a breath and continued "my mom gave it to me when I was born carried that thing around with me all the time, it got me through some very tough times. Maybe that's the reason why. What about you"?

I began thinking and answered "elephants". He chuckled and said "every woman love elephants".

I smiled and said "yea well I just look them as a great protector especially when it comes to their little ones . You ever seen a elephant protect their child it's something amazing, plus I just like how they look".

Rodney then responds "I'm guessing your a cat woman as well"?

I answered "love the movie but no I prefer dogs. A cat can't really protect me like a Great Dane could".

"So that's what you have"? He responded back quickly.

"Yes I had two but one died of old age had her since I was in a freshman in college. Her son is my biggest protector you can't come inside my home until he sniffs you out".

"How tall"?

I smirked and said "pretty tall just above my waist line to me exact".

"Name"?

"Boa"

"Boa"? He answered back.

I nod and said "yea it was my uncles nickname. He died the same day Mia my other dog gave birth".

"You were close to your uncle"? He asked as we entered the lion exhibit. It was now like he was interviewing me instead of the other way around.

"Um yea we were close he was like a second father . He actually step up to the roll of father when my father was sent over to Iraq".

"Ohhhh military brat huh"?

I laughed "yea my father was a marine and my mom was a navy nurse".

"You didn't wanna join"?

I blew off "no military is fine and dandy but I also saw the bad side . I wanted to branch out and be me and do what I love and my parents accepted that".

"Bad side what do you mean"? He asked.

That was something I didn't want to talk about not with someone I barely knew .

"You tell me why you don't date black women I tell you why I opted out for the military".

He laughed and then said "come let's go see your favorite elephants". Again he shut down the question was the answer that bad?

"I hope your boyfriend doesn’t get upset I flew you out to Hawaii"? He said as we walked to the next exhibit.

"Don't have one so your good".

He smiled and said "as beautiful as you are you have no one"?

"Me and my girlfriend broke up after three years together two months ago".

He stopped walking and dropped his popcorn he was snacking on "s**t you're a lesbian"?

I looked around as people walked by and couldn't believe he was shocked about this.

"No I mean I don't limit myself to just one s*x I date both even though she was my first. I prefer men, but if a woman can make me happy then so be it".

He picked up the popcorn and threw it away before turning back to me and saying "whatever the reason was her lost".

I replied with a light smile "thanks we were on two different pages . I believe if we loved each other and had been dating that long then maybe we should take the next step. She didn't want that and I never understood why until we broke up and she admitted that their was someone else she was seeing behind my bad. It hurt deeply that I haven't talked or seen her since. Last time I heard her and the female were together and she had even propose after just a year of dealing with her behind my back, but me someone she's been with three years couldn't even get a promise ring crazy right"?

He spoke after I let my heart out crazy because I didn't even know I was letting all that out until I had finished my venting.

"Sometimes people come in your life to teach you a lesson and sometimes it takes people longer to realize that lesson".

"Well you have had a lot of lessons" I then stopped and covered my mouth before saying "I'm sorry that was rude of me".

He shook his head and said "no your right I've had a lot of lessons and some lessons I haven't learned so I go back. Now I've decided to just let love find me instead of forcing it to be found".

"Can a bachelor love"? I asked .

He smiles and says "this bachelor can" and for a minute it was like he was speaking it right to me.

"We should get going it looks like it's going to rain".

He looked up in the sky and said "s**t no more like the volcano is smoking we need to get to higher land no telling if it's going to erupt or not. He grabbed my hand and it seemed like we were the only ones in a hurry to leave.

"Do they not know"? I asked as we made our way through the crowds .

"They know but their locals they've seen these their whole lives I on the other hand don't wanna be sorry so I wanna leave before they start to react . My house is on the hill outside of town we'll be safe there and then I'll take you to your hotel if able".

Thank god I hand all my price possessions on or with me and only thing at the hotel were my clothing, something that can be replaced.

"This is your home"? I asked as we pulled up. He was right it was definitely up some hills and my fear heights had definitely kicked in but it was beautiful and he had the perfect views of both the volcano that was currently active on the left side and the ocean right out back.

"Yes. Come let's go inside the smoke even though it's a good ways away can still make you hotter than how you currently feel. He said waving me to the door.

Walking in I replied "I expected a music mogul like yourself to have a fifty bedroom mansion".

He closes the door after I walked in and said my vacation homes are close to it , but my home, hope that not to many know about no I like simple those other houses are for show".

"Understandable".

"Plus I need a family to fill those house a wife who is willing to bare my kids". He said staring at me up and down. Making me feel hot and bothered .

I quickly asked "bathroom"?

He smiled "to the right down the hall and two door to your left down another . I wasted no time before taking off and once inside I called Charlene back.
