"Wine"? I asked as she stood in the floor to ceiling window I had in the kitchen looking out at the view.

She turned and grabbed the glass and said "thank you".

"I know you wanted to get back to your hotel room, but they have shut the roads down until the volcano calms down".

She smiled and said "it's fine long as you like company plus the view you have is way better than the hotel I'm staying at".

I chuckled and sipped my wine before saying "of course me and Chino don't mind". Chino being my Egyptian Mau .

"Can't believe you're a cat man" she said moving away from the window and walking into my sitting area to sit . I followed and so did my cat and I responded by saying "My grandmother gave me this cat as a housewarming gift. She said dogs make to much of a mess".

Diamond smiled and said "she's right about that, your grandparents seem like nice people".

I nodded and said "yea they were I um lost my grandfather two years ago and my grandmother just passed away last month".

She placed her hands on top of mind and said "I'm sorry for your lost losing someone you was once close with can take a toll on you".

"You're right but I had to accept that their in a better place my grandfather don't have to worry about his kidneys and my grandmother don't have to worry about the cancer coming back for a third time . I sleep better at night knowing the pain they suffered on earth isn't with them in death you know"?

She gave me this beautiful smirk that I was falling in love with and said "I feel you one hundred percent".

We shared a moment staring at one another before she turned back to the window and said "oh my God wow look this is my first time seeing lava". She was so in awe at the eruption of the volcano .

"I hope people don't get hurt" she said sounding worried .

Agreeing I replied "yea me too cause last time thirty five people lost their lives".

Right while the volcano was erupting it started raining . "We might be stuck here for a few days rain is good but rain can also be messy" I said going through the fridge looking for something to cook for us.

She took a heavy sigh and said "yea I just texted my boss she said it was on the news".

"How long have you been a journalist"? I asked her as I pulled out a package of steaks.

"About ummm four and a half years" she said .

"You are good at what you do I must say that"? I replied turning around just in time to see her pour herself another glass of wine.

"Drink to much you'll make yourself drunk before dinner" I said knowing she was on her fourth glass .

She got up and walked over to my Alexa "does she work"?

Washing off the steaks and seasoning them I nod and said "yea she does".

Diamond stared off as if she was thinking about something .

"What type of music do you listen to"? I chuckled "you don't wanna know" . She laughs and said "why not"?

I said simply "might not be your taste". She waved me off and said "I think you're scared to get criticized by me".

As we ate I had a little tipsy going on , but this steak and salad was good . Instead of having wine I settled for water .

I looked up from my plate and saw him staring at me.

"What"? I asked wiping my mouth.

The song started playing and he started singing and now I see why he was a music mogul his voice oh my God was amazing.

He stood up and walked over to me while singing ... "The sweetest woman in the world

He held out his hand and my tipsy ass accepted it and we started dancing . The song must played over twice and both of the times he sang the lyrics in my ear while holding me close.

When I said close both of his arms were wrapped around my waist as I had both arms wrapped around his neck. Our bodies swayed with the music and it was like nothing else was around just a dark room and us dancing.

Gosh he smelled good and his hold was so protective and very secure .

The dance got interrupted by his phone. He didn't even budge for his phone at first but whoever was calling him called back and he said "I should get that", We broke away from each other not wanting to. He picked it up and said "this is business I gotta take it".

I smile and said "I understand go ahead I'll clean up".

As I'm washing the dishes I asked Alex to play some Anita . As I'm humming along I hear Rodney down the hall. Now I know I shouldn't be nosey but I walked to the entrance of the hallways and heard him saying "every week it's something with you I can't keep doing this s**t"!

The women on the other end replied "you can't or you f*****g won't I'll go to the blogs with this s**t and you know I will. Big time music mogul turns down the help need by his mom. How's that sound"!?

"Look here you alcoholic never refer to yourself as my mother and this is my last time helping you out . After this I don't care what you do I'm done"!

Now this explains why he don't wanna talk about his mother their relationship was bad . The bedroom door opens and I hurried off back to the kitchen humming at the sink as if I was there the whole time.

He walked in and our eyes met and sigh and said "you heard everything didn't you"?

I replied "you don't have to talk about it I won't pry".

He nods and walks over to me saying "thanks".
