Arriving at the Royal Capital

The day has come…

A group of the horse-drawn carriage parked in the front of the main gate of the Estate.

All of them seem to be from the Bethia Kingdom.

Not only did they prepare the carriage, but the kingdom also prepared a handful of troops that were seemingly there to protect them.

Ethan who was looking at the window informed all of his teammates to pack up their things.

Each one of them started moving swiftly, putting all the clothes in their suitcase, fixing their hair, applying perfume, wearing their formal suits, and so on.

It was now the time for them to depart.

One of the guards escorted them to their respective carriage.

It was their first time seeing a legit horse-drawn carriage. They had never been once experienced riding the horse-drawn carriage so that excites them when they were walking towards it.

Each carriage can hold four people. Meaning there are three carriages for the battle gods respectively. The luggage was put inside the spatial magic, it was convenient magic that seems to mobilize the logistics company.

Well then, I’ll be omitting the journey to the royal capital.

After all, nothing particular happened.

The only hard part of the trip was them trying to hold back their sleepiness due to the nice sunlight and the rocking of the carriage.

They took a peek from their windows and saw bustling people doing their things.

While they were glancing around relentlessly at their first sight of seeing a lot of people after roughly two months, they went forward through the townscape.

Nevertheless, what a pretty townscape. The roads are paved in stone, and the buildings are made up of stones too. There also wasn’t any trash lying around; it is similar to a European-styled townscape, so to speak. The modern one.

After 40 minutes of forward with the carriage, they can see how big the royal capital was.

The royal capital can still be seen at a distance.

As if to enclose the royal castle in the center, there was an area of huge mansions lining up where the n.o.bles or wealthy merchants reside. And furthermore, as if to enclose those as well, there was an area where the commoners lived.

As for the house we were heading to, let’s just say the area where the commoners live is the commoners’ district. And the area where the n.o.bles live, let’s call it the nobles’ district. It seems the house was situated between the border of those two areas.

Although there was no separation between the commoners’ district and nobles’ district, in particular, the n.o.bles who went to the royal castle on various different occasions, set up residence close to the castle. Then that soldier opened the gate for them, and the carriage entered the premise of the mansion.

“Welcome, masters!”

Human butlers and maids, who lined up in neat rows, came and greeted them.

The guard that picked them up said the King of Bethia dispatched these people to serve them and will start living with them temporarily while they are in the royal capital.

There were still muttering until one of them walked forward from where the maids were. She is a slightly elderly woman.

“Pleased to make your acquaintance. I am tasked as the head maid in this Surrender at 20 residences, I am called Nurica. Although I may not be up to your standard, I will work to the best of my ability. I look forward to meeting you.”

“We look forward to working with you.”

All the maids lowered their heads simultaneously. The maid’s uniform was a black maid dress that reached one’s ankles, together with a white apron. The skirt was not short at all, there were no frills attached to it.

All in all, they were young maids that seemed to be in their early twenties.

While they were watching the maids, this time, a middle-aged butler came forward.

“It is an honor to meet the heroes who saved the princesses and fended off the invasion of the monsters. Splendid, I am called Steve. Since I will be tasked upon the management of this mansion's affairs completely, I look forward to working with you.”

“I am tasked as the head chef. I am called Corell. I will try my best to work to everyone’s satisfaction.”

“Please leave all the working to us.”

After the long introduction of the servants, the Battle Gods started introducing themselves one-by-one.

Their faces are filled with wonderment and amazement as they interact with the battle gods.

Thanks to their beautifully-crafted avatars. The maids were charmed by the boys while the butlers were charmed by the girls.

The one who was gathering most of the attention is Jericho. They were amazed at his formality and gentlemanly behavior, the suit that he is donning complements it well.

Now, the introduction part seems to be settled, their life at the royal capital started.

Before that, they conducted a simple meeting conducted by the butlers about the ethics and etiquettes about this world.

They were informed that they will attend the event of the royal capital happening this evening. Which are their recognition and commemoration.

Team C: Ian, Inigo, Ann, Angelica.

Team A went shopping for souvenirs, team B went eating at the food stalls, team C went inside jewelry and magic item stores, and vice versa.

In the middle of the town. Team A started finishing their three tasks, exhausting their allowance for the day, and prepared to go home. However.

As they were walking around the town, they got lost accidentally, deviating from the main street, and stumbled into a back alley-like place.

“I told you, that was the right way. We shouldn’t listen to Jon.”

Team A exchanges meaningful glances. And they reached a conclusion.

Matthew asked the women who were cornered by men.

“Yes, we’re super in trouble!”

Among the two girls who were surrounded, a rose shoulder-length-haired girl shouted out.

The men who were surrounding them glared at Matthew.

With that provocation, the thugs gritted their teeth and started pulling out their swords, ax, and spear.

“Don’t blame us for your death, you impudent fool foreigner!” The man who was the tallest started charging at him with a howl and swung his greatsword after reaching the favorable distance—.

A girl shouted at Matthew, but he ignored it.

They let out an anguished groan as they found themselves pierced by something they didn’t see. No, it was too fast for them to see.

Their eyes fixed to one point and saw a sword made up of light gushing towards them at blinding speed.

Their body turned into honeycombs. It was a gruesome scene.

“Boring...is this all you’ve got?” Matthew asked the lifeless men falling to the ground, it was useless to talk to someone who is dead.

“Then, I’ll give you time to try again. [ Time Reversal ]”

A scene of their death started replaying up to the point their body is fixed. In an instant, three thugs who were just dead were alive again.

“Time manipulation?” A girl muttered in a surprising state, “Wh-who are you? How can you do that?”

Then started throwing some questions. But Matthew ignored.

“Now, do you want to try again and waste your life or are you going to leave here now? Your choice.”

Matthew proposed reasonable options for the thugs. The thugs suddenly chose the latter.

While giving their answer, their body quivered and they wet themselves. It seems that they are traumatized by simple spells.

“Now, get out of here before I changed my mind...and by the way, If I found out that you’re targeting a woman again. I will not hesitate to kill you…”

The thugs shriek at the cold glare of Ernest and hurriedly leave the premise.

“You girls need to be careful from now on. Who knows how many of them are lurking in the royal capital...Even in this world, they are still dirty crimes committed here.” Matthew let out a sigh and used his teleportation skills to transport his team back to the mansion. Leaving the two behind without them being able to say thank you.
