“Wait? Did she actually kiss you? Su-suddenly?” In the meeting room of the Estate, a round table filled with twelve exquisitely designed seats were filled by the battle gods. Manuel who asked the question guffawed after hearing the story of princess Christine suddenly kissing Jon. “I don’t know, but she suddenly went through it, why does it matter anyway? It’s not like this is the focal point of the meeting…” “Bu~but, she kissed you, a 16-year old girl kissed an adult man...hahaha. Interesting, If I’ve been there, I would actually laugh out loud hahaha. Is a girl kissing you? That doesn’t happen in real life.” “...Grrr…” Jon gritted his teeth, he couldn’t take any more reality check, especially coming from Manuel who he has known for almost three years. Manuel couldn’t stop indirectly teasing Jon, it was really interesting if Manuel sees it, after all, Jon doesn’t even have a girlfriend in real-life so the fact that a beautiful princess kissed him is still funny to him. “Okay, enough both of you.” Ethan silenced the noisy two, the rest of the battle gods sitting firmly on their seats. Seeing that the rest of the battle gods are in their listening mode, Ethan let out a clear throat and started speaking. “As you may know, this continent has six countries right?” Everyone nodded. “And this continent is the biggest continent in the world of Atrea, however, there is an interesting fact that I received from general Alexander while I’m asking for some information...Let me be straight, every year, the six countries are hosting a tournament where the winner or winners of the tournament will gain the right to have their wish granted and a huge amount of cash…” “So? What does it have to do with our situation? Are you implying that if we win that tournament and wish to return home, it will be granted…” Jericho asked. “No.” Unfortunately, Ethan firmly denied the thought. Making the atmosphere heavy again like the first time they conducted a meeting. “But telling us this means that you want us to join in that tournament right?’” Jericho added. “Of course, for now, let’s perish the thought of going home and start living in this world for now. I know that some of you or every one of you want to go home as soon as possible but if we don’t have a lead then it's impossible. So, I figured out that if we join this tournament, we will be able to gather some useful information by wishing all the information here in the world. In addition, winning this tournament will grant us the opportunity to be famous around the world so if we are able to make some fans and ask them about any information about this world, they will surely answer it. For now, this is the only logical move that we can take…” Expressing his thoughts, everyone started thinking on their own. Like what are the benefits of joining this contest? What are the drawbacks? Are the contestants of this tournament as strong as them? Their thoughts were filled and a moment later, one woman raised her hand. “Go ahead, Samantha.” Ethan gave a go signal. “Captain, if we were to join this tournament, what are the requirements?” She asked the most basic questions when it comes to tournaments. “Sorry for omitting the details…” He sighed and continued, “This tournament requires only three things: citizenship, a guild, and we must be adamantite ranked adventurers.” Ethan said. “Tsk, the registration requirement is hard. We don’t have citizenship because we don’t belong to any other country, we do have a guild but it’s not recognized by any country, and lastly, we are not adamantite ranked adventurers.” Samantha voiced her reasonable thoughts. “Samantha is right,” Aeyana agreed, “So how can we enter the tournament if we don’t meet their requirements?” “Simple, we just need to complete the requirement.” Ethan simply said. “How?” Samantha inquired. “We will get them through our rewards for helping them fending the monster invasion and saving the princesses. I believe that those jobs are enough to have a guild and an adamantite rank on those who accomplished it. Jon and Ian will be immediately ranked as adamantite but the rest of us have to prove our worth on becoming an adamantite ranked adventurer.” “Then that settles it right?” Matthew asked. “Of course, it's just as simple as that. For now, we wait for the mail of the Bethia Kingdom about our recognition…” With that word, Ethan continued deliberating the rest of the simple information he gathered from Alexander and thus concluding the meeting. Four days later, Ethan received a letter from the Bethia Kingdom via bird delivery. Opening the letter, Ethan read the contents. It was just a welcome ceremony for the Surrender@20. To Ethan, it was expected. The fact that Ethan talked some things to Alexander about recognizing their guild really paid off. The ceremony is scheduled one week from now. The Kingdom will send a carriage that will pick them up in their Estate. And for the last statement in the written mail, the Kingdom asked them to wear some formal uniform of their guild. Next week will be the start of their exploration of their new world.
