“Okay, place the tables and chairs there and we will take it from there.”
Manuel said to the delivery man from the upholstery company of the capital.
“Manuel about the food delivery, should we get our food supply from our system or to the meat retailers here?” said Jericho who was wiping the reception desk.
“I think we should get our supply from the meat retailers here,” Manuel replied, looking serious as he propped up his chin with his hand.
“Well, you’re the boss.” Manuel didn’t ask any further and continued on cleaning the new tavern they bought from the real-estate company.
In fact, they are not the only ones here. The rest of the battle gods except Matthew and Ethan, were inside the establishment doing their assigned task. For example, the girls handle the kitchen area, the boys clean the walls, floors, ceilings, et cetera.
They were working since the morning after the acquisition of the tavern. This will be their new restaurants, their new source of income.
Despite being rich in the game, they cannot use their gold coins since it’s not minted by any kingdom around the continent, making it completely useless. Albeit the gold coins can be used for buying furniture and equipment from the system, they can’t be careless about what they should buy.
Bringing technologies from another world is strictly forbidden and will gather a lot of attention if inadvertently revealed. In addition, foods from the system are also not in their option due to their high quality. And when the pesky merchants were to dine in their new restaurants and found out that the meat quality is in fact not from any meat retailers that they know of. It will cause a problem.
For now, they want to get money using their own hands, they don't want to rely on the weekly allowance given to them by the kingdom. Because firstly, it will break the essence of working naturally and second they believe that the kingdom will ask something in return. In short, they don't want to have any debt from the kingdom.
Finishing the cleaning, the battle gods rested for a while.
Gathering at the big rectangular table that can accommodate ten people. There is also a variety of food placed atop of the table. Since it's lunch break.
A bustling noise can be heard on the inside as if they literally own the place...no they literally own the place and there’s no one inside the establishment. It seems that they can do whatever they want.
Then a knock on the door, a person in a suit entered the establishment. All the battle gods took a glance at that person and saw Matthew.
“Well look who it is, our very first teacher in the team is in the house!” Ian raised his mug of water as if he was offering a toast.
“So this will be our new restaurant huh? Can’t wait for it open.” Matthew said simply, placing down the briefcase on the ground and grabbed a chair to sit upon.
“How’s your first day, Matthew?” Samantha asked.
“Well, it goes like this…”
Matthew told them the story of his first day as the teacher of the school.
“Oh, so that was it huh? You even used [Solar Flare] as your proof as a magic teacher? No wonder why I detected some mana coming from the direction of the plains.”
Samantha, who seemed eager to hear the story, added her thoughts. She saw it while staring at the windows from her room.
“Matthew, aren’t we supposed to not use our skill carelessly? We would get in trouble if you show more than that…” A scolding voice reaches Matthew's ears, it was Angelica who looks directly at him like an insect.
Such deadly gaze coming from her made his scalps tingles.
“I’m sorry, I will never do that unless necessary.” He said promptly.
“Then Matthew, tomorrow is a mock battle we don’t have the lineup just yet but I’m sure that it will be decided through the lottery.”
Jericho shifted to another topic, this time the mock battle.
It was proposed by the king of Bethia to show the powers of Surrender at 20. It will be a six versus six battle. The only thing that concerns them is how the lineup will be decided.
“You’re right, our class has a class that counters our class. So it will be common sense if those classes fight with each other. But to team them up. It’s overpowered.” Matthew said his thoughts.
“You’re right, if Destroyer and Guardian were to team up, which is our frontline then the other side is doom, if Gunslinger and Sniper are in the same team, then they have a long-range advantage. In short, we need it to be balanced.” Ann added.
Everyone turned to think mode, it is a reasonable thought of Ann. The class matters in the game and if it matters in the game, so in real life.
In the Legends of AEON, a team must consist of a Frontline or Tank, DPS, Healer, Bruiser, Assassin, and Long-range DPS.
(A/N DPS means Damage Per Second)
If there is something missing on that line-up then it will be disadvantageous, or rarely, advantageous. The reason being that any team from a professional scene can exploit those mistakes and punish them for them.
But that's just for the game. What about real-life? Are the classes matters the same as the game?
Finishing their thoughts, Inigo who was the youngest player on the team, looked at the two people who sat next to each other.
“Brother Ian, Brother Jasper. Since you’ve been in a duel, can you tell us some useful information? Anything will do.”
It was a reasonable and unexpected question from someone who is younger.
They applaud Inigo in their minds, Ian who was questioned by Inigo answered truthfully:
“Well, we can use our active skills and passive skills, the only difference is that we’re in the first-person perspective, unlike in the game where the point of view is third-person. Still, you can sense your surroundings via instincts. We will naturally feel it, and to add, my eyesight was magnified. For example, if I am standing on the highest building and were looking down, I can count the stones lying down and the ants crawling. The point I am trying to make is that we naturally integrate into our class innate abilities. I’m sure, Aeyana may feel the same way as me.”
Ian took a glance at Aeyana who was just simply drinking her water. It was as though, prompting her to add some ideas. Realizing that, she started speaking.
“What Ian said was true, my eyesight was enhanced by something unknown. The only logical explanation is that I’m an Archer Class. Well, I think it depends on the others. For example, Jasper would you kindly share your battle experience?”
Jasper began to speak.
“In real life, it’s obvious that we can’t wield bows, spears, swords, ax, et cetera right?”
Everyone nodded.
“It’s just a simple phenomenon. If you are a warrior class then you can wield a sword proficiently, if you’re a lancer then you can wield a spear or lance proficiently. Just as we decided on the thought, we are integrated on our avatar’s body of who we upgraded, taken care of, and allotted a lot of time to power it up. Meaning, our grinding, and experiences turned into real power. I’m a Duelist and I spend twenty-five thousand pesos (500 USD) a month. My main weapon is a sword and my class affinity is lightning. Meaning I can wield a sword proficiently and manipulate lightning easily.”
“To those who have not yet gained a battle experience, you will have a taste of it tomorrow.” Ian added, “But keep this in mind that you will feel pain and the real essence of a battle. It’s not just us controlling the keyboards and mouse, it’s about us controlling ourselves.”
Everyone exclaimed on their explanations and is now pumped up.
“Okay! Let’s get this battle started. I don’t care who is my teammate and enemy. I will destroy them just like I do in my every game.” Manuel declared proudly.
“That’s right! I want to have a taste of real battle like we see in movies and anime!” Inigo energetically said.
“Me too, I want to see how powerful I am here...hehe.” Ann timidly said.
Then a door suddenly opened again and one person entered from it. From the look of his appearance, there is no mistaking it. It was the captain of the Surrender at 20. Ethan Gonzales.
Everyone quieted and stood up to greet their captain like they always do in real life if they are in an official meeting.
“Hoho...it looks like you’re pumped up for tomorrow huh?” Ethan said with a smile and grabbed a chair to sit upon.
“Then, since we are on the topic of mock battle, I have news for you…” He pulled out a piece of paper in his pocket and put it down on the table.
“This is the line-up for the mock battle tomorrow. Be sure to plan, strategize, and research your opponent wisely.”
This is what they’ve been waiting for. They viewed the contents of the paper.

After reading the contents of the mock battle. They were pumped-up even more. The line-up is well-balanced in respect to their class. It seems like their problem has been solved.
Each team huddled in both corners of the tavern as if they began strategizing and planning for tomorrow. They didn’t even take a peek at the opposing team.
“This is gonna be an easy fight tomorrow.” Manuel boasted loudly intentionally, wanting the opposing team to hear it.
“Oh, you’ve got some guts to say that. Manuel, be sure not to be knocked out before I fight you.” Jericho replied at the haughty remark.
“I’m sorry but we are going to win tomorrow. We have three girls in here and you only have one.” Jon said with a chuckle.
Then the team B exchanges a meaningful glance, and moments later, they sniggered at the words of Jon.
Being laughed at, Jon's face contorted in irritation. The wrinkles carved between his eyebrows changed his good features to an evil omen.
“I’m going to destroy you all tomorrow!”
“Oi, He is angry now.” Jasper guffawed at Jon’s expression.
“Then everyone, shall we have a good fight tomorrow.” Ethan walked forward trying to put up a strong front in sportsmanship. Nearly everyone on Team B was slightly irritated by his calm voice as if he is going to win tomorrow.”
“We will have a good fight tomorrow, but.” Matthew paused, “It’s gonna be us having fun!” Then let out a roar of laughter, his team laughed out loud also.
“Well, I think I’m going to be crushed tomorrow,” Ethan said in a calm voice, but the pressure on his words was compelling and made Matthew shudder for a second.
“We’ll see about that.”
Matthew accepted the challenge.
