Moving to the training camp at the edge of the pack wasn't as big of an issue as Gatlin thought. Her family barely noticed and shrugged it off when she told them of her plans. Gatlin had packed two bags of her most important possessions which really wasn't much but now consisted of the necklace from her father safely tucked under her tank top. She frankly wanted to get it over with, being trained by her estranged mate wasn't at all ideal and she just hoped the time flew by so she could get away fast as possible. "Gatlin" it was Huntly, in all his large Alpha glory. A smile on his lips as he approached the girl who stood at the edge of the pack living quarters facing the large field before her "my father told me of your plans. Quite an ambitious one aren't you." "I try, I'm just ready to start focusing on my future" she gave Huntly a polite smile as he stood beside her. Of course, another of the family easily stood over her. "Well then let's get you settled" he extended an arm for her to go first "after you" he instructed. It was always best to have an escort out of the pack campsites where the warriors trained. It sat just beyond one of the forested parts of the territory and if you didn't know your way you would surely become lost. Gatlin was never too worried though she had great tracking skills. ::: “Here we are,” Huntly said as soon as they stepped out into a clearing. Gatlin already knew though, the scents in the air had changed one of them being her estranged mates which frankly made her more nervous than anything but her nerves seemed to soften when the all too familiar goofy smile of Arro appeared before them as he came sauntering along the grass. ”About time you got here” Arro pouted like a child to which Gatlin rolled her eyes. ”You know each other?” Huntly questioned glancing between the pair. ”Oh yes we've become fast friends” Arro quickly wrapped an arm around Gatlin’s shoulders and pulled her into his firm side. “Let go” Gatlin grumbled elbowing him in the stomach causing the dark-haired young man to groan and release his hold on her quickly clutching his hands to his stomach while Huntly simply laughed. “Close friends... You’re alright here?” Huntly chuckled at his cousin before turning his attention to an annoyed Gatlin who gave a nod “if you need anything Onyx is on the training grounds” Huntly gave a smile before leaving. “What was that for?” Arro sulked still stroking at his abdomen as he stood back up. “If you want to be friends fine” Gatlin rolled her sage eyes “but you need to learn personal space” shaking her head she secured her bags in her hands before walking closer to the small building that sat in the centre of the empty field. “Fine, fine” Arro said as he followed her. A group was out training already on the field and Gatlin almost stopped on the spot at the sight of her estranged mate standing in front of all the other wolves pacing back and forth. “Are you okay?” Arro asked the playfulness of his voice had gone and was replaced with worry. “Yeah...” Gatlin shook her head suddenly tearing her eyes away from the muscular man before them “I will be fine” she attempted to sound confident but even she wasn’t convinced by her words. Before another word could be said Onyx shouted over both of them. “About time you showed up!” Onyx shouted, “put your bags by the door and fall in line!” He continued to shout. Arro gave a look of sympathy that Gatlin ignored as she followed Onyx’s instructions dropping her bags off by the small wooden building and joining the rest of the trainees “Alright now we are all here. Welcome, some of you are here to become warriors for the pack, some to become better and others for your schooling but while you are here the reason doesn’t matter. You are under my order now so whatever I say goes. Every day you will wake up at four am if you do not wake up you will be woken up after that you will spend the rest of the day training. Tomorrow we will be testing what level you are all at so you can be evaluated properly but I tell you to know you will not pass unless I pass you so you better be out to impress me. Now take your things and find a room to bunk in. That will be your home for the next however long you’re here. Get used to it” Onyx let his silver eyes wander the group despite his dismissal he couldn’t help himself but let them linger on Gatlin before finally dismissing the group and Gatlin was the first to hurry away. Snatching up her bags by the door and practically ran into the building. It was only small with only several rooms. Gatlin wasn’t too fussed about a room though. As long as she had somewhere to sleep it didn’t faze her terribly. She had her main goal which was to focus and work her hardest to get out of there as soon as possible. In the room was simply a bed, desk and small closet and she counted her blessings she wasn’t a heavy packer. Gatlin began to unpack to settle in after all she wanted to be ready for the next day ahead of her.
