Luna demands

Just as Luna had requested, Ranee returned back to the party center at that hour of the night. It was still noisy as the Mateless became worried.

"I think she needs a genuine contract; they should apply." Ranee whispers on Koen's ear.

"Alright." He answered and asked that every other person return to their individual rooms. Aside from the alpha, he let them know the situation on the ground.

He didn't say much; he felt they knew what to do.

He was then on his way to leave when both Ashford and his brothers rushed to seek the contract documented at once.

"You should have known that this is not business hour; aside from the fact that you requested this at first, I suggest you wait while it is processed. You will get to see it yourself. Have a pleasant night." Koen gave them his answer; he had his car opened by his driver, who drove him home.

"He should have told me that Luna was this beautiful; I felt something special for her." Lucas said.

"Really, the same is what I felt for her." Xavier said, But my fear remains: will she get to accept any among us?" Lucas asked.

"What exactly do you mean by us? We are not Ashford alphas who have the opportunity to share the same mate; you should have thought of helping me achieve this." Xavier speak on an angry voice.

"Help you achieve what, I am attracted to her also."Lucas replied.

"You are my brother; we can't have her at the same time; meanwhile, no one knows who she might be interested in among us." Lucas said the more.

"You have said what I wanted to hear. Ours is to applied; whoever she chooses among us will then be a benefit; we can't let her fall into Ashford and his brothers hands." Lucas Concord.

They rested their heads, at that moment.

The next day, Xavier and his brother quickly rushed to table their contract request with Luna to the academy.

"I am here for a new contract." Xavier stands and sounds rude to Koen.

"You also have interest in her." He asked, as at then Koen was left alone in the office with Xavier and Brother.

"I hope you won't get her hurt as you have done to others this time around. In case she picked among the two of you.

"That shouldn't be your business, but our." They echo.

"I am the head here; I decide if to grant you the contract or not."

"I am sorry to let you know that we are not here to have words with you; don't try to be incompetent this time around or play games with us. We want her, and that is all. Is it either you convince her to choose among us or have no one to contract with." Alpha Xavier tried dominating.

"I see you are really crushing on her." Koen folded his hands across his chest and asked

"What will she gain in return—love or rejection?"

"She gained love." They echo.

"You can't have her to yourself at once; is it either Xavier awaits her after she spends the year with you and then contract with you, or the other way round, who goes first seek patience from the one awaiting." He added.

"We should believe that you are not daring with us; you heard us right when we said she has to pick from among us." Xavier showing up his warewolf.

"Okay, here is the document; have it signed. While I get her informed, you will hear from me in 24 hours." He assured them.

Xavier and Lucas left his office, and on their way, the rest of the Mateless Ladies sighted them. Everyone is awaiting the result on whom they have show interest to contract with.

"It is now clear to me that this set of alphas most have seen something special in her, which has attracted them; all I seem to fake love from them, most especially Ashford and his brothers." He nods his head.

He sent for Luna.

"The alpha Koen sent for you." Said Ranee. Luna stood from her bed. She picked up the letter that called for her participation in the program at first. Walking down to Koen office, she was stared at by other Mateless wolves standing and wishing to have hurt her at that moment if they had granted her an opportunity, as a result of Jealousy and heavy. She ignores as they were also about to call her name's as usual, but they were driven into their room by the guard.

"Come in,Koen answered her after hearing the knock at his door.

"Check this." He said to her, presenting to her the two files that contain the contract, she was to sign them so as to make them genuine.

"What!" She said. "I thought I had been contracted already; I was expecting to have met the one who was the reason why I accepted the contract. Why the confusion?" She asked.

Koen smiled and answered her.

"Among the two files, Ashfords and Blackwood's request, looked at the benefit you will get to have from anyone you choose; if you choose from among Blackwood's, you gain much protection and respect; you might not see much among Ashford, so you have the ball at your court." He told her. He tired convincing her.

"I am confused; I plead that they give me time to think about this. But before I leave, I will like to know who sent me the letter. The signature here looks similar to what is in the contract. Looking like that of Xavier the Blackwood's Alpha."

"Which is more reason you have to choose him?" He smiled and drew closer to her. "He will spoil you with love; not just that, you will gain more protection and love from them."

"Koen, my predicament has denied me hope. I need to find the cause of my problem and walk it out of my life once and for all, just as I seek true love." She spoke with tears dropping from her eyes. "I missed the man that won my heart the most; he is the only one from among the alphas I have met who shows and cares for me. I don't think I will get to have someone like him again. Even if I do, it will as well come after my problem has been solved." She explained.

Koen felt her pains, sympathized with her, asked her not to feel bad, and assured her she would be free before the contract ended.

"How will that happen? Does that mean that Xavier might have a cure to my problem or his brother? Is it Ashford and his brothers, who will it comes from?" She became more curious.

"I can't tell who it will come from. I only spoke out my words, and I expect you to embrace positive thoughts and believe in love again." He advised her more.

"I have heard you, and I will do as you have just said. That doesn't mean I am accepting the offer for now. Everyone should give me time." She requested.

"This is an opportunity you might not have later; remember, other Mateless wolves are there seeking such, and here you are about to reject it." He yelled at her.

"Please, they should give me time." She requested, she repeated.

"Alright. If that's what you want," He answered her and went back to his seat. "I should expect responses from you in a hurry before they strangle me with their constant requests. They are already on my neck." He added. "When should I get your feedback?" He asked.

"Whenever it arrives." She answered him with boldness, stood, and, with his permission, left his office.

Ranee quickly rushed in.

"Who did she pick?" She became curious.

"She refused signing the contract; she demanded more time." He answered.

"Ah,!" Ranee exclamed. "What exactly is her reason for this?"

"I think she has given up in love; just as you have told me, she might have seen Ashford and his brother presenting fake love."

"What about Xavier or his brother,she should have contracted with any." Ranee, get worried.

"I am worried just as you are; even with that, we should not be worried; the poor innocent lady has requested for a true love and a cure to her predicament."

"She should be aware of the benefit that comes from making one among the alphas her mate, especially Xavier or his brother. She will be honored the same as getting the benefit of being their mate from the academy, she might not be aware what the future holds for her" She added.

"She has her reason; moreover, she is not the only one here; they can as well choose from among others if she fails to reply positively." Koen concluded.

However, Luna stood in her room with her face in the mirror. She spoke to herself as one communicating with her lover; to her, she was communicating with the late Leo.

"Today a request has been made to take a mate, but I find it difficult to have a man who will cherish and care for me just as you have done, Leo. My heart still beats for you, and can let it beat for someone else. I don't believe in love again, and I don't think there will be a man to love me just as you have done. Oh death! She called and continued, "Why have you place shame on me, and have desire to keep it on till my death? You have brought shame on me, you made me look like a trash. If you were to be alive Leo, I won't have the have option non accept coming here; I don't blame you; instead, I blame death for stolen you from my hands. Leo, I wish you could wake up and choose for me, a man like you, or be with me forever." She burst out in tears. Crying and nodding her head. Luna kept being in pain; this has always happened whenever she remembered him.

At the same time, Koen has been worried about the demands that come from her. She has demanded what he has for her.

"She speaks like one in my heart; I won't deny her the freedom from the sorrow that is about swallowing the feeling for love from her. She deserves the best. But how will I get to provide a solution to her problem?" The more he asked himself, the more he became confused about how to grant her her desire. He placed his hands on the table, taking a sharp look at the wall.

"I don't need a contract to show my true love for her; instead, what I need is to get a solution to her problem, and I also believe she will get to love me once this is done. It is the only way I will have access to her life." He added. It became more clear that he also had an interest in her. "They should all play their games while I go in search of an end to o her problem." He believes he will be able to do as he has said.

Koen got ready to work more on the file, document, and signing of the file, that have not be signed.

He needed the assistance of his workers. And when he checked, he realized that none of the Ashfords were at work that hour.

"They might be waiting for a reply from me. I own them nothing; I have done my best; I can't force her to go against her wishes. Moreover, she hasn't concluded yet; she needs time. "Koen got courage from what Luna has demanded.
