[A/N: Hello guys! I wanted add a little more plot to Samuel's character, if only for a short time. So here's Chapter 14. Enjoy!] It was about 9pm when Chase slowly rose out of his slumber. He stretched his arms upwards and let out a huge yawn. He could feel Samuel's arm around him along with the soft texture of a comforter that made him want to stay. He slowly opened his eyes and scanned around the room. He reached for his phone on the coffee table and took a look at the screen. Thirteen missed calls from Ken and Zayn, huh? Man, they're gonna kill him. He called Ken's phone, finally hearing the familiar voice. Though it was more frantic now. "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?" Chase literally had to hold the phone away from his ear. "Ken, calm down-" "WE WAITED SOOO LONG FOR YOU TO COME AND YOU STILL AREN'T HERE!" He was whining now. He didn't mean to make him so upset. "Awh, Ken, I'm so sorry," he murmured, trying to keep quiet as to not disrupt the sleeping hothead. "I'll try to make it up to you-" "Tell me your address so we can come get you. We're celebrating this whether you like it or not," he demanded. Man, he certainly was nothing to play with when miffed. "I'll come to you-" "NO! I wanna make sure you're here-" "Huh? Who's that? Is that Chase?" He heard Jace's voice in the background. "Jace? You're there too?" Chase rose an eyebrow, sitting completely upright. "Hey man, where are you? Your uncle called and I had to lie and say you were here," he answered. "Sorry Jace, I sorta lost track of time," he lied, yet Jace was clearly not buying it. "I'm sure that the so-called 'team meeting' didn't take that long. You're bad at lying. What's really going on?" "Oi, who is that?" Samuel grumbled, stirring from his sleep. "Uhh, nothing Sam-" he stopped before he outted himself. "Who are you talking to?" Jace interrogated. "Uhh, no one. I just said... Oh Nottingham, look at the time!" He chuckled weakly. Samuel simply groaned. "Give me the phone," Samuel sat up and snatched the phone out of his hand. "Hey Mother Hen, I'm dropping off Chase by that little party. Text the address and we'll be there." Chase's eyes widened and he was pretty sure Jace was gonna tell him off as soon as he got there. f*****g Samuel. "Samuel!" He gasped, snatching that phone out of his hand. "Chase, WHY are you with Samuel?" "I'll explain later, okay? Please just text the address," he watched Samuel get up and get ready. "You better come," Jace demanded before hanging up and texting the address in a prompt fashion. "Samuel, what the actual hell!" Chase threw a pillow at the blonde which hit his head. "What? You get a free ride. I don't see the problem. Plus you were digging yourself a hole." He shrugged before pulling on a black hoodie. "I don't care! I wanted to keep it a secret and you ruined everything!" He got up, pushing Samuel out of anger. "I don't even know why you're so upset," he held his hands up. "It's not like I said anything, so chill the f**k out." "Grr! I can't STAND you!" He growled, stomping towards the coat rack and grabbing his jacket. "I'm going by myself." "So you're walking out again?" He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "Don't start with me." He pulled on the jacket and zipped it up. "Are you seriously gonna do this everytime you catch a hissy fit?" "I'm not catching a hissy fit, Samuel. Just leave me alone, okay?" He turned to go, but was pulled back by Samuel. "You're not going anywhere by yourself, Island-Boy. What you're gonna do is fix your face, sit your pretty little ass in the car, and go to the party and have a great time," he came close now, grasping the other's chin. "Who the hell are you to tell me what I will and what I won't do?" He crossed his arms with a scowl. "Daddy," he grinned. "Ugh, just take me to the party," he rolled his eyes in disgust. The whole car ride was silent. Samuel would've teased him some more, but he didn't want to anger the already pissed off Trini. All he could do was wear that cheesy grin, knowing that he won. It seemed that Chase had already picked up on that, though. "What are you smiling about?" He scowled. "Nothing," Samuel responded. "Just happy to be with such a gorgeous, exotic babe like you," he tilted his head back and looked at Chase, still wearing that s**t-eating grin. "Shut up," he groaned, half flattered by the compliment. "How far are we?" "Just two more minutes away," he parked on the side of the road. "Huh? What the hell are you doing?" Chase's eyebrows furrowed, alarmed. "What? Just wanted to take the time to kiss you before we actually pull up. Wouldn't want Jace to get all uncomfortable," he leaned over. "Samuel, no! We're not doing this here!" He held up his hands in defense, sliding down the seat. What the rass was this guy doing?! Surely he must be crazy. "It's just a kiss." He leaned further, attempting to trap Chase with his arms. "No! Cut it out!" He squeaked, accidentally opening the car door. He took this opportunity to escape, making his way out the car. However, it wasn't long before he was in Samuel's clutches, trapped against the hard, brick wall. It was like the locker room all over again. "Kiss me." "No," he tried to be assertive, yet it came off as whiny. He bit his lip just in case the jock wanted to try something. "We're gonna be late." "Either you kiss me or we'll be here all night. But either way, I'm gonna get what I want," he winked, drawing a frustrated groan from his victim. "Fine," he sighed, the features of his face softening. "Spoiled ass." "Sexy ass," he retorted, his hand firmly grasping the back of his head. He pressed his lips against Chase's, being sure to make it slow and sweet. Chase seemed to like it. He cooed with a small smile, his body relaxing as he wrapped his arms around his neck. He opened his eyes a little and saw a familiar face staring back at him in the distance. Wait- was that Jace!? His eyes widened upon seeing the albino and gasped, shoving Samuel off of him. "Jace-!" "So this is what's been going on, huh? You and Samuel are f**k buddies now?" He paced to him, clearly disgusted. "It's not what it looks like, I promise-" he cautiously made his way to Jace. "I'M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR LIES, CHASE! I'm your best friend! Why do you constantly keep secrets from me!?" His voice began to crack. "Do you know how it feels to have to constantly lie to your uncle about your whereabouts?! I understand the strip club, but this-" he shook his head. "This is too much!" "Jace, please stop yelling. I understand you're angry and confused. And to tell the truth, I'm just as confused as you are," the Trini admitted. "You think I wanted to fall for this bonehead?" He referred to a disgruntled Samuel leaning against the wall. "I had no idea that I actually liked guys like that." "What do you even see in him? He's been nothing but a jackass from the day you two met. You think because you two are in peer mediation that things are gonna change? How do you even know if he even likes you the same way? For all we know, he could just be toying with you." "Well...," Chase trailed off, thinking of something to say. "He is an ass yes. But he's so much more than that," he murmured, twiddling his fingers. "He's loyal, he's protective, and he's very reliable. I feel like I can come to him for anything. It may not seem like it, but it's very comforting to talk to him. He makes me feel amazing, like I can do anything," he smiled to himself with a blush. "He's just so, genuine. He's misunderstood, but I know deep down he's a wonderful person, and I've seen it with my own eyes. He's still evolving just like the rest of us, so of course he has a lot to learn. But he's proven and is still proving to me how dedicated he is- how far he's willing to go to be with me. And it says a lot." In the distance, Samuel couldn't help but smile in spite of himself. He never thought Chase would think so highly of him. "I really do like Samuel, Jace. And I'm sorry you had to find out this way. I still value you as a brother and a friend. And I don't want to lose an amazing person in my life," he took Jace's smaller hands into his own, smiling. The albino looked at him for a short moment before sighing. "Alright, fine. Hey!" He called out to Samuel and motioned him to come. Once he was close enough, he snatched him by his collar. "If you ever, EVER hurt my best friend, I will hunt you down and shoot you." "Okay, Mother Hen," the blonde replied, cooly. Jace narrowed his eyes, almost comic-like. "Don't call me that," he let him go. "Well we have a party to go to. Samuel, make sure you lock your car. You're his ride, so I don't want it to get stolen," he insisted, earning a small smile from his best friend. "It's already locked, Dork," Samuel retorted, following the other two down the street. "GET OUT! GET OUT RIGHT NOW!" A drunken Ken was heard, his speech slurred. Chase and the others walked in quietly amidst the crazy ruckus that was his surprise party. "f**k is wrong with you?" Zayn scowled, shielding himself from Ken's barrage of attacks. "I DUN WANT YOU HERE. YOU STUPID FUCKBOY," he slapped him, Tantalis holding him back. "Please calm down. At least for Chase. You know this is for him," Tantalis frowned, struggling against the angry ginger. "Okay, but where he at, though?" A person managed to chime in right before the ginger yelled again. "HE'S NOT EVEN HERE! YOU NEED TO LEAVE MY *hic* BROTHER ALONE, YOU!" He stuck a finger in Zayn's face. "Guys?" Chase held up a hand to try to capture their attention to no prevail. "Ken, it's fine. He wasn't trying to hit on me," another ginger spoke up. He appeared to look exactly like Ken...that is if he was a scene kid. "Guys-" "Thank you. Can you please take your drunk-ass brother upstairs to take a nap?" Zayn snorted before being attacked viciously. Chase could hear Samuel growl right next to him. "HEY! CAN YOU GUYS SHUT THE f**k UP! MY BOYFRIEND'S TRYING TO TALK!" He scolded, his booming voice echoing throughout the entire mansion. Everyone's eyes widened, including Chase's. Did he just call him...His boyfriend? "Samuel?" He could only utter his name in shock. "Oh, Chase. You're here," Tantalis flashed a fake smile. "Boyfriend?" Ken tilted his head sideways before his face contorted into a look of disgust. "BOYFRIEND!?" He got up, or more like staggered to his feet. Many thought there was going to be a riot or a fight at least. However, he simply fell to the boy's feet, sobbing. "OH WHY? WHY AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU?" He cried, hugging Chase's leg tightly. Jace cringed. "Okay, time for you to take a nap, Mister-" Zayn walked over but was cut off. "DON'T TOUCH ME YOU FIEND!" "I'll do it," Tantalis sighed, gently pushing Zayn aside and helping Ken to his feet. "Come on," he held onto him and walked him up the stairs. "Tch! Sorry about that. He had a bit too much to drink," Zayn turned to the newcomers with a small smile. "You guys are f*****g weird," Samuel growled underneath his breath in which earned him a rough jostle from Chase. "Anyways, I'm Zayn," he held out a hand to the blonde jock. "You look familiar. Had no idea that was your boyfriend-" "Uh yeah! I mean, we're working on it," Chase piped up, Samuel staring him down. "So...He's not your boyfriend?" Zayn frowned, confused. "I mean- ah...Well," he twiddled his fingers, trying to find the right words to say. "I'd say-" "We're talking," Samuel interrupted him. "So he's not on the market in case if you were wondering," he spoke on a serious note; a subtle, underlying threat. "Hey man, you got it," the gruff male held up his hands, defensively. "Well, welcome to Ken's house. There's some food left for you over there," he pointed over to the lavish kitchen/bar. "Lionel had to seriously protect the food from being eaten by everyone," he added with a chuckle. "Ah, thank you Zayn!" Chase hugged him tightly. Samuel scowled in the distance. "Hopefully there should be enough for two. It was for Chase after all," Zayn smirked at Samuel as he said this, almost baiting the jealous jock. "But the team wouldn't have won without Samuel," Chase let go of Zayn to flash Samuel a meaningful smile. "He fouled like hell, but I understood the message." Samuel's eyes evaded Chase's gaze, blushing slightly. "Whatever you say, Sexy," he smirked, turning to go. He knew fully well that he was pissing off his little boyfriend and he liked it. Chase's cheeks flushed, his hand cupping his cheek, subtly. Samuel wasn't having it, though. "Let's go eat. You guys just be really hungry," Jace piped up, taking Chase's arm and leading him to the kitchen before Samuel even had a chance to react. "What the f**k did you just say to him?" Samuel gripped Zayn's shoulder and spun him around to face him. "I called him Sexy," Zayn spoke, bold. "Whatcha gonna do about it, big guy?" He extended his arms with a smirk. "Guys stop. Seriously," Chase span around with a frown. He walked to Zayn on a serious note. "I'm with Samuel. Can you respect that?" The middle-eastern exchanged a lasting look with Chase before sighing, raising the white flag. "Fine. Sorry," he crudely apologized to Samuel before walking off. "Ugh," Chase rolled his eyes. "Come Sam, let's eat," he flashed the pissed blonde a warm smile before taking his arm in place of Jace's. "I don't like your friends," Samuel grumbled with a scowl. "I don't like yours either, but you don't see me complaining," he went into the kitchen. Trays of food sat on the blue marble island in the kitchen. Zayn was right, there wasn't too much there. Just as he was making his plate, a thought came into mind. "Wait, do you even still hang with your friends?" Chase turned around, a little white tray in hand. Come to think of it, he hadn't really seen Samuel go out with them in a while. Has he been ditching his friends for him? "Well duh. We still chill," he responded as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Samuel. Do they know?" Chase frowned, his body tense. Samuel shook his head. "I see," he turned around, only putting bits and pieces of food on his plate. "They'll shun you if they knew...wouldn't they?" "Mm. That's what I'm afraid of. They're my boys, Chase." Chase nodded silently. He had been so into his feelings lately that he hadn't stopped to consider Samuel's situation once. He was sure that the jock had his own problems to battle. "I'm sorry," he murmured, feeling the pangs of guilt. "For what?" Samuel grabbed a tray and piled on his tray right beside Chase. "I guess since it's been hard for you too. I guess I've never thought of things from your perspective." He took one look at Samuel and he just knew that he was confused. But that's okay. He looked cute when he was perplexed. "Don't stress it, babe," Chase gave him a soft peck on the cheek with a smile, making his way to the dining table. "Care to join me?" Samuel returned the smile, finishing piling up his plate. "Don't mind if I do."
