Chapter Six
Day Five – Wednesday
Williamson lay in his bed, wide awake at 11:49PM Wednesday night. He had not slept in over 48 hours. His cell phone was gripped in his left hand. When he met his security team Tuesday evening to hear the report of what happened, at first he was very encouraged. The men said she was going to call him later and return to him in a few days.
He waited for her call until late Tuesday evening, but it never came. Finally, he called, then texted her a few times and tried to rest, but couldn’t. For the first time she didn’t return his text.
She’s probably busy helping her father. She’ll get back to me in the morning.
