Chapter Seven
Day Six - Thursday
The cab dropped Bella Lisa off in front of the A and E Club late Thursday night.
It was sad to leave her dad behind at the clinic when he needed her the most, sweating and begging her for drugs, desperately grabbing at the smelly sweatshirt she had worn for three straight days. The doctors assured her that the first few days are the worst, but her Father would recover and sober up eventually. She maxed out the Amex paying in advance for 20 days of treatment. If he wasn’t better by then, she didn’t know what she’d do. The place was expensive and she wasn’t going to take any more of Mr. Williamson’s money. She tried to calm him down, promising to return in two or three days to check in on him. He lashed out at her in front of the staff and physicians.
