Good easily fades away.

Following a stream that I seem to know from a time so long ago there's a since of sadness and foreboding. The grass and trees along the banks standing still. Moving only slightly with the breeze. Something feels off and I can't quite put my finger on it. Everything is so bright and almost fades to white except for the things right in front of me. Slowly I head for what looks like a derelict house. No paint on the building. The only distinguishing characteristic of this house is that it seems to be falling in on itself. Slowly I keep walking towards it. Something almost pulling me in. I know this house; it feels like home from another lifetime. I start to explore inside. The stairs seem to be falling apart and the back wall is completely gone. There's nothing but white where the wall should be. “Rora...” Someone whispers. I know that voice... Looking around more out of the corner of my eye I can see a figure with longer dark hair dressed in black. I try to follow the figure in the direction I thought it went. Be hind me I hear it speak again. “Rora you need to get out. You need to leave. They fear you; they will try to chain you and use you. You need to leave you before they find you.” The voice sounds like my brother. “Elijah?” I ask. “Rora I can't hold this form much longer! You need to get out! Run! You'll find me in the mountains! Find me Rora!” Running up the stairs I finally see him. “Elijah! IT IS YOU!” I yell tears streaming down my face. “We don't have time for this! Rora listen to me when I say. YOU NEED TO RUN!” As I reach for him just as my fingers touch the outer cloth of his cloak he falls backwards off the second floor. “Elijah!” I scream. Looking over the edge there is nothing but grass swaying in the breeze that fades into white. It's in this moment that I realize this is our childhood home. Waking up to a soaked pillow; I know in my bones that wasn't a normal dream. I can feel it; something is wrong. Should I leave? I slap my cheeks trying to clear my head. Sitting at the breakfast nook in the kitchen I pour myself a bowl of cereal. As I chew slowly I look around my little cottage. It used to be a grounds keepers cottage but years ago they turned it into a cottage for my brother and I. It was kind of the school to take us in the way they did. I was too young to remember but my brother told me we were brought here because our parents died. They were both alumni of the school and good friends with the headmaster. Being as this was the safest place this is where we ended up. It's not big but its home now. After I finish eating I can still feel an emptiness in the pit of my stomach. The kind that is telling you that something is off. I grab my book bag and head to the nursery. Oddly enough the halls are extremely empty for this time of day. It's technically between classes right now so the halls should be packed. When I walk into the nursery the Headmaster is standing with Emmie and Mr.Watterson with folded arms. He spots me as soon as I walk in and frowns. “Well Miss Rora its about time you showed up!” I'm a little confused by this. I normally show up around this time. “Is something wrong?” I ask “Well yes Miss Rora. You see today is the day of our pep rally. All students are required to be present.” Both Emmie and Mr. Watterson look grim as if someone died. “Let's get going; everyone has been waiting already for an hour. It wont be long until the other school arrives.” with that the headmaster exits the room. The rest of us follow being silent. We are lead through different corridors. Some of which I didn't know existed. Finally we reach some steps that go under ground. The headmaster slams open the double doors. As we enter in I can see the rest of the students are already here. “Look who decided to show up!” “I thought we said better never then late?!” The snickers and comments can be heard throughout the large auditorium. It so giant that it looks like the entire school grounds can fit inside. There are tables on either side of the auditorium. All filled with different foods and drinks. Maybe this wont be so bad. I think to myself. I don't know why Emmie and Mr. Watterson looked so worried. All the students from our school is seated on one side of the auditorium. The head master walks in front of everyone and clears his throat. “Okay everyone! It's the day you've all been waiting for! Today is the day of our pep rally!” He pauses as some of the students cheer. “Some of you have heard from older family members what will happen today. Some of you don't know. The final feast will be held first then once both schools have eaten the rally will start.” The rally will continue until only one school is left standing. Which ever school is left will become the head country for the next few years. So now without further delay lets start the feast!” With his final words the doors on the opposite side bursts open. The students can be seen filling the tables at the other end of the auditorium. Happily our school starts to eat. The tables are filled with so many tweets and breads. Giant turkeys fill the tables. Watching the other side... None of them are touching their food. Something is wrong. I don't eat either just sip on some water. I'm not sure what but something is about to happen.
