As long as I can remember... This is all I've ever known. I don’t remember anything before this. Let me explain a little. Let me tell you, MY story. I’m not evil; that’s just what they want you to believe. They want you to think they are the GOOD and I am the EVIL. Fear will do that. Humanity fears the unknown and to them I am an Unknown. They fear me and because they fear me, they demonize me.

Just as its always been
As long as I can remember... “Let me grab my jacket before we go to our next class. I’ll meet you there.” I said with a small smile. Really just wanting an excuse to be alone for a moment. There was only the constant buzz of lights and I in the hallway. Everyone was either already in class or straggling along. Walking slowly to eat up as much time as possible I finally reached my Locker. What people don’t know is that I have two lockers to use. One that is assigned to me up top and one on the bottom row just to the side of mine. It’s not technically mine however I use it. No one says a thing about it. It was my brothers before he disappeared. I grab some books from my locker and reach down to my brothers and take his jacket out. He’s been gone for a few months already... I’m just happy it still smells like him. Without this I would feel completely alone. I know deep in my soul that he’s not dead and that I’ll find him again however everyone thinks that he drown in the river over the summer...They seem to forget that he hated the water with a fiery passion. He would say: “It’s cold and wet. Everything about it makes me want to stay inside with a good book.” No one talks about him anymore; it’s almost as if they never knew he existed. Even his closest friends when I would talk to them give me looks like I’m crazy. Most people avoid me. They say I'm the creepy orphan girl that the school took in. I’ve lived in this school as long as I can remember. I actually don’t remember a time when I wasn’t living in this school. The only thing I remember from before is my brother now he’s gone. Now I'm alone. The sound of the bell ringing snaps me out of my thoughts. “s**t!” I mumble when I realize I’ll be late AGAIN and that means I’ll end up in detention AGAIN. Shrugging to myself I saunter to class. If I'm going to be late there's not any use rushing to get there. As I get to Class MR.Aldine is standing at the door holding a yellow slip out to me. Wordlessly I take it and head to my desk. He walks over to the white board and starts a mini lecture on the importance of time management as to not waste our own as well as others valuable time yada yada yaaa. I start to tune him out. At this point I've heard this lecture so many times that I can repeat it word for word without flinching. He goes into his lecture about MACBETH stating that he expects us to finish the play before the end of this week. Writing some questions up on the board he says he wants a short essay for each one. The questions are as follows: *Is this a classic good vs. Evil? * *Who is the real Evil* *Why do the humans consider FLO, VI and RU Evil? *   It’s all your classic literature class essays. It won't take much time at all to complete. The bell rings once again and I head for my next class. Gym. It's actually my favorite class. I get to vent out some pent-up frustrations. Heading into the locker room I change into my gym uniform. It’s the classic shorts and athletic shirt. A maroon and gray theme. The school colors. Putting my hair up in a tight bun I smirk to myself. Today is the start of our hand to hand until. The other girls are leaving their hair either down or in a pony tail. I shake my head chuckling a little. I turn to head out the locker room when I feel my head smashed against a locker. “What are you smiling at FREAK?” Slightly dazed I look up and see Paige and her crew laughing. I don’t say anything. When she realizes she isn’t getting the response she wanted she clicks her teeth and they leave.   Slowly I get up and touch the spot where I made contact with the locker. With a slight grunt I feel the spot again. Its wet. I know I'm bleeding and I don’t care. This is one class I refuse to be late for. It’s a beautiful day today and because we are starting hand to hand today; our class will be held outside on the rye field. Its supposed to help us with our endurance and tactical evasion skills. Our teacher is already standing in the middle waiting for everyone to show up. His smile brightens when he see’s me. He is by far my favorite and he treats me the same as any other student. Not as the school's orphan freak. I can see him frown a bit when he sees the blood on my forehead. I try to give him a weak but reassuring smile. He just shakes his head in response then starts to address the class. “Okay everyone settle down!” he says in a loud authoritative voice. Everyone starts to quiet and start paying attention. “We are starting our hand to hand unit in preparation for this years pep rally!” I groan a little to myself. I hate the pep rallies. I usually hide somewhere until it ends. “ It takes a special kind of student to get excited for our rallies. Someone so twisted inside that it would make the most evil of villains recoil in horror. I enjoy the warm sun as MR. Watterson starts to go over the safety requirements for participating in this unit. “First things first. First aid and medics will be on stand by at the edge of the field just behind us. They have full authority to stop any spar sessions if they see fit for any reason.” I notice that everyone is looking behind us at the medic team. “Secondly. All's fair in love and war. I feel that it needs to be stated with some of you” He says looking directly at me. “You are not to exert yourselves to the point of hospitalizing and or killing your partners nor anyone in this school. Doing so before the rally will render yourselves expelled with dishonors. Your classmates are as good as your family.” As he sizes up the class he claps his hands together and smiles “With that we will begin pairing off! As the class is an uneven number this year one of you will pair up with me! Please don't forget that even though I am an OLD man I will not go easy on who ever is paired with me” He says that staring at me. We both know that I'll pair with him. Even if he hadn't made it sound as if it was a bad thing I would still have tried to get him to pair with me. Most people don't understand that he is my favorite for a reason. The rest of the class is finished matching with with their friends. I can hear slight giggles from the others as they see that I'll be pairing up with Mr. Watterson they don't even realize just how amusing this really is.
