Until my last howl

Aaaarrrgggghhhhh why is this happening again? What have I done to deserve this? How did he even find me? I need to get away! I need to escape! In order to understand that first phrase, we need to go back to the very beginning... Once upon a time there was a man and a woman and they loved one another very much. No, no, no, not that beginning... The events that led up to the current situation! "Pring..." The school bell sounded. Finally we were free from high school, we had just written our final exams and were heading out to celebrate. "So where do you want to go?" asked Max. "I'm not too sure" said Lucy. "Rose?" they both asked me in union. "How about we go watch a movie and afterwards head to the arcade?" I answered them. "Great idea!" They again both said in union. The joys of having twins as my 2 best friends... Lucy was beautiful with her long curly brown hair, bronze color eyes and she had a very slender figure with long legs which I always admired. She was more of an outgoing personality, while Max was more shy and withdrawn. Max also had curly brown hair but it was more in a bunch all around his head, also with bronze color eyes and quite a built figure. I on the other hand was more short and petite, had very light blonde color hair and piercing blue eyes, brighter than the sky. "We absolutely need to get popcorn" said Max with a childish grin on his face and rushed off to the popcorn stand while Lucy and I got drinks. We decided to get slushies, for some reason we love the feeling we get from having brain freeze. We sat down in the movie theatre waiting for Max who always seems to come last. He finally arrived and squeezed past Lucy to come sit next to me. He has always had a crush on me since first grade but has never said anything. I hear everything from Lucy about how he talks about me at home to her. They are very close. They can either be the best of friends or the absolute worst enemies, yet they always seem to bring a smile to my face. "Sshhh" the movie is starting said Max to his sister. "I didn't say anything" responded Lucy. "Would you two quit arguing with me in the middle?" I spoke up. "Sorry" they said in union. After the movie on our way out of the theatre, Max couldn't stop talking about it. How they designed the cars to go so fast and that he wants to build a car like that some day too. "You so childish" said Lucy. "No I'm not" responded Max, "What about you wanting to become a balet dancer? Thats also childish" Lucy turned her head in embarrassment and blushed. "I didn't know you wanted to do balet" I said to her. "That's pretty cool, I'll buy a ticket to every single show of yours!" "Thank you" said Lucy looking a little less flush now. At the arcade we had tons of fun, the first thing we did was go on the big ride that they nicknamed "Terror". It took us through a series of tunnels with machines set up to scare you as the ride comes around the corners. "It's not that scary" said Lucy as she tried to calm her brother down who was hyper ventilating. Poor Max, so sensitive... We decided to cheer him up by taking him to the shooting rings, where you have to shoot a moving target in order to get a prize. That seemed to instantly change his gloomy mood as he was hitting the targets with great precision. Lucy and I were laughing as we watched him. He took the game very seriously. "I won a giant teddy bear" exclaimed Max as he came running toward us. "That's a huge prize" I said with a smile on my face. "Here, it's for you" said Max as he handed me the rather large stuffed toy. "Thank you Max, it can sleep on my bed" I said. "Where will you sleep then?" laughed Lucy. I gave her a jolt to her stomach and ran off laughing. The two of them quickly gave chase and it didn't take them long to catch up to me either due to my short legs and the fact that i was carrying a large stuffed toy around that was just about the same size as me... We sat down to eat ice cream as the sun was setting. The ice cream joint was situated on top of the hill so we could view the entire arcade and the forest that surrounded it. "It's so beautiful in the forest" said Lucy as she was licking her strawberry ice cream. "It's mystifying" said Max with chocolate ice cream all over his face. "It's free" I said holding my bubblegum flavor ice cream. They both looked at me in amazement as if what I just said was completely new to their ears. We slowly started walking home down the forest path. "Let's hide between the trees and wait for others to walk past, then jump out and scare them" said Max while looking at his sister for approval. "There's no way you are getting me into trouble again mister" responded Lucy. I laughed at the both of them. "Shhshh pssshhpppsshh"... "What did you guys just say?" I asked the both of them. "Nothing" was their response. "You must be hearing things" said Lucy as she put her hand on my forehead checking my temperature. "Yeah, maybe it was just the wind" I said while looking into the forest which was getting darker. "See you again soon Rose" said Max and Lucy in union as they bolted down the one path to get to their house. I still had to walk another 5 minutes before I would reach my house. "Pppssshhhh, ssshhheeee, hhhsssssuuuushhh" I heard whispers again and felt like I was been watched. I didn't like the feeling so I ran home as quickly as I could...
