Matt's POVThe phone rings persistently. “Who will call me at this ungodly hour?” His hands move to reach for his phone. "Hello?"Matty baby, how are you? The voice he heard from the other line. “I missed you, honey."It was Isabella. “Hello? What’s up? Is there anything wrong? I'm in the middle of my sleep, for God's sake, Isabella! what do you want from me this time?"

Isabelle Fort is Matt's ex-girlfriend. "Nothing, honey, relax. You’re being harsh. I just wanted to check on you."

"Check on me? As if I gave you the right to do so, please, Isa, stop acting like we're on good terms because we are not. Do yourself a favor, stop calling me, and move on!"

"Oh honey, you're so cold to me. I just want us to be friends again."

"You're funny. You are asking to be my friend at 2 am? Seriously? Are you out of your mind? That can wait; I need to sleep now; I have a lot of meetings to attend this morning, bye."

Phone beeps... end of the conversation.

"Isa laughed evilly... Don't worry, honey. You’ll be mine again."

Monteclaro's POV

Gally woke up with a heavy feeling in her head and body. She fixed herself and went outside the room to prepare their breakfast and the kids to school.

8yo Keighla. Monteclaro's eldest daughter "Good morning, Mom! Where did you sleep last night? I went to your room, and I only saw daddy."

"Good morning, my sweetie pie! get yourself ready; we’re running late now for school."

Hugged her mom. “Are you feeling fine now, Mom? I was worried about you yesterday."

"Sweetie, I'm all good now, you see. Kiss her daughter, go and prepare yourself; I’m going to check Reighly's room.” Monteclaro's youngest daughter. Gally went upstairs and checked her youngest daughter's room. “Reighly?”

A voice from the bathroom.

"Comin, Mom!" That was 6yo Reighly.

"Okay, Reighly honey, just go downstairs after you fix yourself, okay? Breakfast is ready."

"Sure, Mom! I'll just fix my hair; I love you."

The door closed.

Gally walked through the corridor when she bumped into her husband.  "Oh my!"

"Oh, I'm sorry baby, Goodmorning!" and was about to hug her wife, but she refused. "Breakfast is ready, go and eat now."

Francis replied while shaking his head out of regret.

Gally prepared herself to drop her kids in school and grab some groceries after.

"Francis, where's my car key? We need to go now; your kids are running late for school."

"I'll bring them to school." Her husband said.

"No, give me my key, and I'll drive them to school and buy some stuff after; FYI, I CAN DO EVERYTHING ON MY OWN." 

"Okay, okay,” Francis gave up and handed Gally her keys.

 "I'll be home late, so just help yourself with lunch."

"Okay, Baby. Take care."

After dropping her kids at school, Gally was scrolling her contacts and looking for her friend's number when her phone rang. She couldn't help but smile, 'coz it was her friend who's calling.

"Kat!!! I was just actually looking for your number!"

Kat is her childhood friend. "Gally!!! I missed you, girl. I don't know. My intuition is telling me that I need to call you right now. So I called. Wuzzup? Are you home? I'll drop by later, I just need to grab some toiletries."

"Oh, are you at the grocery store? I'm heading to TopMart, the one that's near St. Bridgette's."

“What perfect timing, girl! I'm at TopMart, so you were the one who brought the kids to school? What happened to your family driver?"

"He's on leave, likewise with the nannies. I'm a full-time mom now. *laughed* wait for me there, I'll drive now, okay. Call me later."

TopMart's Parking Area. Gally rushed herself into getting out of the car (because she badly needed to pee) when the door of her vehicle hit someone outside. *brrggggh!*

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Mister! I didn't mean it; I just really need to go to the comfort room,” while holding her tummy.

The man smiled and said,  “It's okay, no harm done.” Gally smiled back and said, "Thank you," and hurriedly walked through TopMart's entrance direction. Why did she feel this strange feeling? She seems like she knows the man for some reason but can’t figure out how and when. 

After peeing, she decided to call her best friend Kat. “I'm here in the comfort room near the entrance; where should I go now?”

"I'm at the supermarket's entrance talking to my cousin; I’ll wait for you here."

Gally walked in the supermarket's direction when she heard Kat screaming her name. “Gally, Gally!”

She saw a man in a side view angle talking to his phone and was holding Kat's shoulder. While approaching them, Gally smiled.

"Oh, it's you!" Gally said.

"You know him?"

"Hmm yeah? I accidentally hit him with my car door when I rushed to get out of the car 'coz I need to pee. Are you okay?"

I was looking at the man's face. Then there’s this feeling again after seeing his face. “It’s so weird.” She did not notice that she speaks her mind. 

The man replied, “yeah, I'm good, nothing to worry about. By the way, I'm Matt, Kat's cousin and why are you calling me weird?”

Then they shook hands, and Gally shook her head too in amusement at why she is feeling that way. “I’m sorry I wasn’t referring to you.” 

"Uh hmmm.. hmm. So in case you two forgot that I'm still here, well, I want to let you guys know that I'm still standing here in front of you."

 Laughed. "You silly, how can I forget my best friend?" She walked through her best friend and hugged her tight. "I missed you so much!"

"Oh! Can I have a hug too?" -Matt.

"LOL, Matt, you better get going now; what were you saying before Gally came? That you have a lot of meetings today, and that you need to rush to your office, and that you need to leave me here as soon as you get the papers that I handed you. So what happened? you suddenly seem not to care about work anymore?"

"Oh shut up, Katty! fine, I'll go now; nice meeting you, Gally, dear."

"Okay, Matt, you take care, and nice to meet you too."

Matt winked at Gally and tapped his cousin's shoulder to say that he's going.

"Shoo! You take care! See you later."

Gally to her best friend. "Are you done buying?"

"Yeah, why do you need to buy anything?

"If you're not in a rush, I'll just grab a few things."

"Sure, let's go inside."

After buying what she needs, Gally asked Kat if she's already hungry.

"Yeah, a bit, it's lunchtime already."

"Okay, so let's eat lunch here, my treat."

"Why? Are you sick?" Put her hands on Gally's forehead.

 "hahaha. Silly!" Pinches Kat's ear.

Gally tends to forget all her problems whenever she's with Kat.

While waiting for their order at the restaurant, Gally stopped herself from crying and noticed her friend.

"Why, what's wrong? You know you can tell me everything."

Then Gally's tears rolled down her face.

"Oh girl, what's wrong with you? stop crying, tell me what it is."

"Oh, I hate that man!” after Gally told everything to her best friend.

"How could he do that to you? You dedicated your life to him; you even stopped working to be a full-time wife and Mom to your kids just to be cheated like that? So Hush now, best friend, everything's going fine."

After eating their lunch, Gally asked Kat if they could grab a drink and go to Kat's place for a while. She just really wanted to forget.

"Sure, I still don't need to work for a few weeks. I have so much time for that."

 "So let's convoy going there."

"Sure, let's go!"

"While driving, she remembers that she still needs to pick up her kids in school at 4 pm, and it's just 12:30 pm; she still has time to grab some drinks.

We are entering the village.

Gally parked her car beside the street just before reaching Kat's entrance.

"You don't want to park inside?"

"It's okay here, so it won't be a hassle when I leave.

"Okay, let's go inside the house."

"Where's your husband?"

"Hahaha! Shut up, girl! I don't even have a boyfriend!" grrrr!

“hahaha!” *and they laughed together*

"Let's drink on the balcony; I’ll just go get some ice; feel at home."

"Okay, thank you."

"Gally, come here, let's drink! Stop staring at my photos; I know I'm gorgeous! hahaha!”

"Excuse me, I wasn't looking at your picture. I was looking at your parent's picture; how are they?"

"They're doing great. I think Mom will come and see me next week.”

"Send my regards to them."

"Sure, Madam!"

And they laughed again.

2:00 pm Gally was feeling a bit tipsy.

"Are you okay, Gally?"

Yes, I'm fine. I still want to drink."

"You sure? but you still need to pick up the kids and drive home."

"I'm not drunk yet; I can still drive, don't worry."

"Okay then."

Matt was feeling nervous while looking at one particular photo on his computer. He doesn’t know what to feel after long years. He must admit that his feelings are still burning inside him. “I don’t know how to react; I wanted to hold you.” He was talking to the photo and released a deep breath. “One day, I know I’ll be able to tell you everything about it and I hope that you could forgive me.” Matt can’t help himself but think about it, and the possibility could happen. Instead of thinking about the things that will not happen soon, he decided to call his cousin and ask for something. 

Phone rings.

Kat answered it. "Yes, hello? Silence, huh, I'm home now; why? Oh, okay, no problem."

Gally stood up and went to the toilet.

"Do I look fine, girl?"

"Yeah, though you already look like a ripe tomato. Grins, why?"

"Oh, never mind, I'll go outside and get my dress; I need to freshen up; I don't want my kids to see me like this."

"Okay, girl"

While walking towards the closed gate. She heard the blowing of a car horn outside. She opened the gate and checked who it was.

"Oh, it's you again!"

Matt drove his car inside and smiled at Gally.

"I just need to get something from my car; please don't close the gate."

Closing the gate after getting her things in the car, Gally felt dizzy. She holds the bar steel tightly and closes her eyes.

Matt saw Gally.  "What's wrong? You okay?"

"Yes, I'm okay, closed eyes, go find Kat inside, I'll just follow."

"No, you don't look okay. Let me help you."

I walked in Gally's direction, held her hand and her back to assist her.

"Thank you,” slowly opening her eyes, not feeling dizzy anymore.

"Give me that, and let's go inside."

They walked to the house.

Before entering the door, “I feel fine now, Matt. Thank you." Took her hand back.

"That's good to know then."

They entered the house and looked for Kat.

Girl, I'll just use the bathroom.

"go!"

"Excuse me" Looked into Matt's eyes.

Matt nodded

"So you were just drinking here?"

"Yeah. what's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just think that your friend doesn't feel fine." Matt mentioned.

"How do you say so?"

"Never mind, I need cold water."

"Go help yourself, cousin!"

Matt went to the fridge and got some water to drink, and then there was Gally, also holding a glass of water.

"You look pale, Gally; sure you're fine?"

"Nah I aah, ughh i.. i. I'm f.. fine." and slowly fell to the ground.

Matt's reflexes were just incredible that he catches Gally in his arms before falling to the ground."

"T.. t.. thank you." Then Gally blacked out.
