Chapter 29 Xavier When I came to, I was seated upright in a chair with my hands bound in my lap with metal cuffs. I blinked my eyes open, and rolled my head drowsily upright, wincing against the sore spot on the back of my skull before placing myself. Well, at least I’d made it to the throne room; they hadn’t lied about that. And my entire council of dignitaries was there, seated at the table around me. Another truth. That was nice. They’d just forgotten to mention the part where I’d be knocked unconscious and bound for this meeting.
