The Statue Beneath TAP Her foot made a light sound as she landed. The evil magic energy is much worse now that she's on land. She can feel the evil magic energy polluting the ground, it's almost as if the evil magic energy is touching her ankle caressing her if not holding her. It's utterly creepy that all the hair in her body felt like it's rising, man, maybe even her pubic hair did. 'Am I walking to my death...?' she wondered while walking closer to the closest magic circle, one of the three magic circles. The purpose of the three magic circles is unknown to her that's why she's being extra careful, on the other hand though, maybe she just has to bombard these with attacks? 'Yeah. Wake up whoever has to wake up.' It was reckless but she just can't waste any more of her time, seriously, who knows what could be happening outside the city's walls while she is figuring out what she needs to do? As decided, Zaire scattered the liquid Tears of the Slumbering Scholar around the place. She also did not forget to call unto every saint she knows from every religion she can remember. Damn right, she's scared. She's scared of what might pop out from these magic circles once she breaks them. She hates being surprised and shocked the most just as much as she hates balloons. She trod the path carefully contrary to her reckless plan. Once she is at a safe distance, she started circulating the magic energy around. It's always been her style not to use too much of her magic from the magic base since it's basically her lifeline, she can manipulate the magic energy around and make it hers so it would be safer to do so. A shimmer of red, blue, brown, and green light formed at the top of her fingertips. She quickly wrote the magic circle in front of her as if she was writing on a piece of paper, only this time, she's writing in an open space. The different colored magic circle twice the size of a basketball ball glowed in front of her. Within the magic circle are symbols containing the basic element of fire, water, wind, and earth, in addition to that, she also added the symbol of adding twice the firepower of the spell and continuous casting as long as provided with magic. After that, she taps her body to recirculate the magic on her Mirage Set. Its effects were phenomenal but it wasn't able to defend her against the sneak attack of the silk-black being – which was weird. She considered the possibility of 'that' being having the ability to interfere with magic more than necessary or its attack– sneaky or not– was just too strong for Mirage Set to handle. Well, both are possible since Zaire can tell that it was strong. She felt her hair crawling remembering how she was stabbed close to death. It was one-stab, one-kill, if the light Rou was talking about, did not activate. She quickly shakes her head. She has to focus. She eyed the magic circles, heaved a deep sigh, then started firing her attack. Relentlessly at that. [Water Magic: Advance Water Lance] Ten sets of lances made of water formed mid-air from her magic circle, each sets directed at the magic circle laid on the ground. It fired like a bullet. This magic is supposed to be an Intermediate level water magic, but the power from the spell rivaled that of a Divine level. [Fire Magic: Hell’s Fire] This Divine level spell is a blue and red-colored fire, considered to be one of the hottest fires in existence. It burns anything it touches without discrimination whether it lives or not. A fearsome spell that even high-level mages would not dare recklessly cast, but, here it is, being fired continuously. Its shape is similar to a throwing weapon, it is round and has sharp edges around it. Once fired, it leaves a blue haze behind and even if it’s mid-air, the ground under it is scorching. [Earth Magic: Clay Golem] From the ground rose a golem, about twelve feet in height, with bulky muscles made of soil, its golden eyes gleaming. Unlike other Earth Magic golem spells which are Classic level, this spell is a few of those golem Divine level spells because of three reasons. One, the golem is bigger, sturdier, and faster than a regular golem regardless of how huge it is. Secondly, the golem goes into its ‘Berserk’ mode, once it goes Berserk, it destroys whatever it was ordered to destroy, its strength, agility, and overall power intensify by at least ten times, and lastly, its golem heart too is almost indestructible, especially in ‘Berserk’ mode. As long as the golem heart is feed with magic, even if the body is destroyed, the heart will continue to create another body. [Wind Magic: Arrow Cyclone] As its name implies, it’s an arrow of compressed winds that once it touches its targets, it explodes into a large scale of wind that converges the target. It’s a Classic level spell that looked spell but is really not. These spells are fired in all three magic circles around the biggest one, her purpose is to find out its purpose. The surroundings turned into a complete seclusion of spells being fired. If one would look, they only see the spells being fired unstoppably. It would look like a discriminate attack against whoever or whatever is receiving the spell. On the corner, the ground is burning blue and red, on the other side, the splashes of water both soft and violently can be seen, ah, the most eye-catching one is the gigantic golem running in different directions and just simply… smashing everything. Every hit of the golem on the ground created vibrations on the surroundings and then once it’s done, it would move to another area leaving a deep crater on its former place. A crater deep enough to bury a grown-up adult. In all honestly, the golem looked like it’s throwing a deadly tantrum. The deceiving soft breeze of wind from the wind magic is also something to look out for since once it explodes, the pressure of magic not only gets heavier, it also cuts, just like how the wall in the corner got sliced. No sane person would ever get close to this place. From afar, there is a glowing magic circle on the center of where the spells are generated but it’s unsure whether it’s a human or not. The chaos continued for more than thirty minutes before it slowly died down. As expected of the place where spells were fired relentlessly, it is in ruins. A complete disaster. A battlefield where hundreds of mages battled, that’s what it looked like, and Zaire who is the cause of all of this could not care less, especially when she finally broke the magic circles. When she witnessed how the dark magic circles broke and heard the cracking sound of it like a glass, she can almost imagine the voices of angels singing in her ear. Unfortunately, her happiness died down, especially when she watched how the biggest magic circle, the one she did not carelessly touch broke itself and emerged from the broken magic circle is a statue. A statue that rose from below the ground. Zaire bit her lips while staring at the statue. From its magic energy, it’s not a joke. Its magic energy is not evil, but it has a feel to it. Kind of similar to how a brother thinks her sister’s new boyfriend is suspicious but just not have enough proof to prove that he is indeed a bad guy. It wasn’t evil, but it’s not entirely good either. It’s just… heavy. Eerie. Intimidating. She messed her hair in frustration. Now, what should she do? Should she continue her assault against a statue? Should she break it? She eyed the statue carefully… ‘Yeah, I should. It wouldn’t be good if it’s in there. The place is corroded with evil energy and it’s not? Is this thing joking?’ … on the other hand, she can’t just attack the statue since she’s not sure of its purpose. It looked old because of its already faded color, there are also visible cracks on its body. The statue is that of a man, based on its body with long hair that reaches its feet, that very hair served as a carpet of the statue beneath it. It stands on a curved stone— there isn’t any marking on the stone as she hopes. The statue’s expression looked kind of gloomy and sad. While she is staring at the statue, Zaire felt the shift in the air. She looked at her side through her peripheral vision. So, the onlookers finally started moving, huh.
