The Stitcher
Working hours were over and not a single soul could be heard from miles away.Every single turn I made greeted me to streets in Whitechapel I had never seemed to come across. An eerie hush replaced the void of silence as I walked slightly faster than the previous step.A layer of darkness drooped over my surroundings by the passing hour.I staggered about in the absence of light, struggling to judge the passage of time and to find a way out of this entanglement.
My name’s Jules and I happen to be a detective.Although, right now, I don't see myself living up to that title.A detective is like a hunter, searching for their prey;at this moment, I could be both. The Stitcher’s peril lies amongst these streets of Whitechapel. The mere thought brings an icy sensation to run through my bloodstreams, leaving me in sweaty hands.
There was a rumour about the Stitcher. The Stitcher was the name given to a person who is said to roam within these very streets of Whitechapel.A distant shrill shriek replaced the eerie hush, most likely of a crow.I now found myself running from a void of darkness. He has been said to stitch his victims into all types of creatures for the mere purpose to mock his victim’s state of misery. Not a single victim has been found alive, though it takes several hours for them to perish after the vulgar actions.I at once halted as I found myself to a dead end and so at once turned around. However a guttural noise followed by a metallic BONG!I was being followed
.
I opened my eyes mildly to take into account my surroundings and my state.I was hunted.I was the prey all along.Blood gushed out through what seemed like the back of my head, but just enough to keep me alive. To keep me from watching my miserable end.I was placed like a patient on the Geri chair.Moments later i scanned the area and a thought to open the closest door and back into the void crossed my mind. However,it was soon crushed as the nefarious being once again entered the room and coughed thunderously.
I recalled past knowledge of my detective history. Not a single case helped in what situation I found myself in this very night.I then scanned the room once again, this time looking deeper into the room.Sofas that looked worn out with stains, evidently blood were placed near the walls. Then, metallic blades with a blunt side as well were precisely placed on the shelfs.Perhaps these were used on me to create that noise that caused me to pass out.The same icy sensation ran through my body as I saw a body that dropped my jaw.It was a human but shaped like a walrus.Perhaps skin had been used to stitch him.The poor being that once lived gawked lifelessly into my soul. The Stitcher let out something like a roar.My instincts told me to run far from this place.but i could do nothing but look helplessly at his eyes.Just like the walrus man...TO BE CONTINUED
