Xie Feng and others came to the same alley with an opening in it.
“You guys can kill zombies, right?”
Xie Feng asked the group.
It will be fine if they could handle some zombies with at least enough insurance to save their lives and not be petrified in a critical situation.
“Ah yes, we have practiced before leaving the base to fight with them.”
“Good, If we got in a situation where I am not there to protect you, fight for a while.”
“Cover your faces.”
Xie Feng and others came to the same place as tomorrow where Xie Feng had blasted the vehicles. Right now the whole place was ashen. Dead zombies limbs were everywhere on the street and a burnt smell of flesh filled the whole area.
Last time he thought the black threads from killing zombies into blast had already been absorbed by him but he was wrong.
“Is something wrong happening with me?”
He thought in his mind.
Xie Feng had killed more zombies after that and found the same familiar-looking black threads entering into his physique through all spots.
‘That’s strange does killing with fire blast evaporate those black threads.’
But he clearly remembered there were black threads present when he was awakened from the pitfall.
‘Forget it.’
He chose to not think about it anymore since he didn’t get black threads last night he will get some now.
There were many zombies present at the other end of the street which was obvious came here during nighttime after hearing that blast.
‘Let us warm up for a little.’
He knows they had to face hundreds of zombies while on the road. It would be better to kill as much as possible to decrease their threats.
It not could only help them but also be beneficial to other survivors.
Xie Feng could not save everyone and everything. But he does not mind helping others indirectly.
“They were coming.” Xie Feng said to the group behind him.
They were clearly tense about the upcoming battle.
Xie Feng had found them some useable weapons to fight with the zombies before leaving the house. Everyone had a metal rod on them, which was enough to destroy any man’s skull.
They make their way through the darkness of shadows to find a good spot to attack.
They came in front of a two-story house. They can kill the zombies coming through the door. Due to which there will be only one direction they had to care about. Even if by chance zombies came more than they could handle. They could escape through the roof to the backside.
Zombies had already noticed them entering the house.
With mad roars, they came to attack their group.
They were already ready for action. Inside the middle of the shop was parted in two ways with the furniture.
They just had to kill the zombies the moment they enter the shop through the door.
The group was ready and the moment zombies enter strikes of iron rods fall onto them.
Xie Feng didn’t participate in the killing. He wanted to see the strength of this group.
After the tragedy happened while running from the parking lot he didn’t want to put faith in the words of people who said they can fight. It was better to look the things in a practical way with your own eyes.
So far the groups had shown good teamwork at killing.
Xie Feng thought people will take time to adapt to the drastic changes in their surroundings.
Just like how Hu Yan lost his mind yesterday due to extreme fear of death.
Now some people were willing to do everything to survive.
Xie Feng looked around, even though they were scared and clumsy in their attacks, one could still see the resolution to kill to live.
But there was still a problem present, space Inside the shop was limited and in just a few minutes it was full of dead bodies.
“Let’s head out of here.”
After seeing they could not hold anymore, Xie Feng unsheathed his short sword and join the chaos.
Soon heads were seen flying everywhere.
Hu Yan and others were once again completely shocked to see Xie Feng’s ability to take down more zombies they had killed attacking together.
Clearing the area, they start moving again.
“By the way, I didn’t know your name.” Xie Feng asked the man wearing a long coat. He seems like a leader of the group as he saw people were listening to his arrangements during the last fight.
Xie Feng knows that his group member calls him brother Hu but he does not know his full name yet. He only asked for his name as other members name doesn’t really matter anyway.
“Huh, Hu Boyu.” The man paused for a while then hurriedly called out his name.
Xie Feng nodded hearing him.
They saw some cars parked near the roadside. Looking at their condition it seems to be good for traveling.
On Xie Feng’s instruction, they came near those cars and check them thoroughly. With an iron rod, it became easier to open the car without much hassle.
“How can we start the cars.”
This question came out loud from Xie Feng’s mouth. He was confused about how the group did manage to start the bikes before without their keys.
Hearing this Hu Boyu smiled a little.
Next, he saw him calling a tall skinny man.
“He is Su Yan,” Hu Boyu introduced his friend.
It turned out that Su Yan was a mechanical engineer before and knows about automobiles mechanism.
Xie Feng saw him able to start the car in few minutes without breaking a sweat.
‘Talents will be are a commodity in end times.’
Xie Feng thought.
There was no doubt in the coming times’ survivors will cherish talents and knowledgeable people who could help greatly in recreating technology and found out ways to survive through this disaster.
Xie Feng and others directly choose to travel by car as it will be way faster than on foot.
The cars were rushed on the road hitting abandoned vehicles here and there. They did not mind the little accidents happening as leaving the area was their main goal for now.
Soon they reached the city center area. The zombies on the street and roads chased them but soon left behind with the car’s speed.
But something worse had been written in their journey.
“What the hell?”
“How come there so many of them present in the middle of the city!?”

Their cars collied with the truck at their front due to a loss of focus.
“Everyone come out and fight.” Xie Feng ordered in a strict tone seeing their fearful faces.
What they saw was too much for them to handle. There were thousands of zombies tightly packed in the city center road. Everywhere corpses were present and gruesome scenes unfolded.
“We were gonna die!”
Su Yan clutch his head and stayed in the car freezing.
Seeing this Xie Feng came to him.
“That do-or-die situation Su Yan.” Xie Feng said and put his hand on his shoulder.
“Things were gonna be fine and we all going to leave this place alive. You don’t have to worry just focus on starting the car. We will protect you.”
Xie Feng do his best to motivate him as their escape was dependent on him.
“I promise you. I will not let any person die today.”
Xie Feng looks directly into his eyes while speaking.
Su Yan shakes his head and holds himself up.
“You are right. We were gonna hell outta here.”
“Yes, we are.”
Xie Feng stood directly at the front to take the lead.
He was happy for everyone as their resolves were what they needed the most right now.
He holds the short sword in one hand and a dagger in the other.

“How much time do you more need Su Yan?”
Xie Feng’s voice came from the front while cutting the necks of zombies.
“Just a few minutes more.” Su Yan cried out in reply. His body was soaked with sweat, he was trying to focus on arranging the right wire to start the car again.
“No problem, Just focus onto repair it.”
Xie Feng said those words buy only he knew there is no time left. If they spend more than a minute here the whole street going to be overflowed with more zombies.
But he had to keep the emotions under control and guide the group to their best.
Every minute passed it became more unbearable to defend themselves. Most of them were completely worn out from continuously fighting.
“It’s done!”
Su Yan’s loud noise came suddenly with the noise of the engine.
“GO!”
“I will hold them. You guys quickly get into the cars.” Xie Feng picked the corpses near his feat and throw them at upcoming zombies.
Others quickly entered the car and were ready to move.
Xie Feng run and jump onto the roof of one of them.
“Move!”
The cars run on the street blasting zombies on their way.
Xie Feng balances himself on the roof and pushes the zombies to come straight at the front of cars. He dint want them to block the way with their corpses. If that happens there will be no way all of them will make it out alive.
Thankfully the horde was coming from the opposite direction and the weren’t many zombies present on their way.
That was completely unacceptable. Who would have thought that there will encounter thousands of zombies in the city
The roars of zombies became crazier.
Their bloodlust rips apart them increasing every second as they tried to move far away.
If Xie Feng was alone he doesn’t mind killing them in batches, but now he was with a group and their safety was his priority as the strongest present with them.
They run past the commercial street and reached towards residential areas.
At this moment survivors hiding in their houses and apartments noticed the changes on the street. They looked outside to see a group of young people was running away and a large horde of zombies keep changing after them.
Even if do not know the people escaping outside. While they were frightened seeing such a large horde pouring down the whole area. They secretly sympathized with those who were about to end.
When they had confirmed there was no threat, for now, everyone relaxed.
After reaching the destination they parked the cars at the corner to not attract more zombies near the base.
“You are a lifesaver.” Xie Feng patted Su Yan’s shoulders and said with a smile.
Su Yan blushed a little.
“You guys rest for an hour.”
Xie Feng could see all of them had been worn out completely.
They choose to enter the random house. Xie Feng went outside and search for the food and water for their group.
After replenishing their energy, they continued moving under the scouting tactic. With the help of shadows, they crossed their further distance without any problem
Few tall buildings came into their view.
There was a particular one present with the biggest number of floors. A structure of the crown had built on the top of it.
It was the only five-star hotel in the city.
That was Xie Feng’s main reason to accompany the group to return to their base.
His goal was simply to move to the top and saw the true state of the city from a height. It will give him an idea or representation of how badly the city got destroyed and in which direction he should move to return his home.
Xie Feng and others reached the intersection point in an hour of moving. From where they could see the red structure of the community center.
“We have finally come.” The group was happy to return to their base.
Some were even shed some tears. They had thought they would die a gruesome death under the zombie siege.
Many of them looked at Xie Feng in gratitude.
If Xie Feng hadn’t come in time they must be dead already.
“Alright since we have reached our destination. We will part our ways here.” Xie Feng said.
“You are not coming with us.” One of them asked in confusion.
“I will,” Xie Feng said looking at the sunset, “I have something to do. You guys go first.”
Before they got the time to ask him where were he going. Xie Feng had already left.
Even it looks like he was simply walking but he had already gone back to the area they had come from.
