AFTER I ate breakfast with Bella, my father and Adriana, my heart became lighter and happier. I was able to stop thinking about Pearl and the words she has told Bella. I stored those things as well as my negative emotions towards her at the back of my mind. That was how I was able to go to work in the boutique with a smile on my face.
We didn’t have much customers that day because it was a weekday. Usually the store is filled with tourists on a weekend because they visit hours before their flight back to where they all came from.
