Chapter 30
The trip to the hospital was quick. Catherine’s wrist was placed in a splint and her ribs wrapped. They let her leave with a script for a painkillers. Charlie had driven her to his house for her to recoup. He made all sorts of promises to pamper her and smother her with love.
Which she was excited for, but first they had to get rid of all of their guests. Meredith, Daisy, Cindy and Barb had been waiting for her to get discharged then everyone hung around Charlie’s house.
Catherine was touched these women came to visit her in the hospital and were hanging around the house now. They had pushed back their return to Fort Bragg to make sure she was alright.
They alternated pampering her with blankets, pillows, and bringing her food and drinks. The guys just stood around
