Aysha sat back down and tried to calm herself down. Ranger was her mother’s killer, and she had a chance to kill him but failed. Ever since her mother was killed, she had allowed herself to believe that the rogue was dead, but she had always known that was something she told herself to feel better.

“So, did you find anything in the tent that tells us what they’re looking for?” Jeremy asked as he cleared his throat, trying to eliminate the awkward silence that followed Zayne’s information.
