They reached the forest in five minutes but did not stop. They needed to find a safe place to hide, and Aysha was still covering their scent to make them harder to track. After half an hour or so, sprinting through the forest, they finally started to slow down until they came to a complete stop next to a small spring.
Aysha’s head was throbbing as she finally stopped masking their scents, and she and Jordan walked behind the trees to shift back. After shifting back, Aysha collapsed on the ground, and Jordan kneeled next to her.
“Aysha, are you alright?” Jordan asked worriedly.
“I’m fine. I simply overdid myself by keeping out scent masked for so long,” Aysha grunted as she slowly got up by using one of the trees as support and opened her bag to find her spare outfit.
