Myriam Gagnon sipped a cosmopolitan martini at the Paris Hotel bar in Las Vegas. She had just finished her last day at a conference on information technology sales. Finally, she was getting the hang of it, a week of listening to people talk about many interesting topics. Except that it required an incredible amount of concentration, a quality she lacked in every circumstance. Her mind would sometimes drift for long minutes, only to realize that she had missed a significant portion of the speaker"s words. She needed to make a concerted effort to grasp most of the matter, to take notes. Her bosses had invested a significant amount of money in educating her so she would have a head full of useful ideas for the company.
