“Mrs. Collins,” Mr. Raymond said, getting up from his seat. “You say Mr. Echols is a busy man. How much time does he spend with Iris each day?”
“I would say an hour and a half. Even more during the weekends.”
“Mr. Echols only spends ninety minutes a day with Iris?”
“I didn’t say that…”
Claire’s lawyer interrupted her.
“Shouldn't a loving father spend more time with his beloved child?
“He does. During the weekends, especially,” Alma replied calmly.
“Mrs. Collins, what time does Mr. Echols come home from work?”
“Usually, between five and six.”
“How often does he work late at the office?”
“A couple of times a week,” Alma said.
“You say Mr. Echols and Iris have a… Uhm… ‘special time’ every night,” Mr. Raymond continued. “Are they alone during this time?”
“Of course,” Alma answered
