Elise yawned widely then stretched in my arms and my heart swelled. I wanted one. More than I’d ever wanted anything. The idea of having a child was never something I’d thought about. After how horrible my own parents were I hadn’t thought about it much, but as I held that sweet little girl in my arms I couldn’t deny the pull to have one of my own.
“I think it might be time to get you both home,” Xander said softly to Mandy. I looked up at her and saw her eyes closing as she nodded in agreement then yawned just like her perfect little girl.
