Bound By Fate: Katarina and Eric’s Unbreakable Love

Chapter 5

Katarina’s POV

“Yakap Oso, we wouldn’t be able to fly to the Philippines today anymore. All airlines have locked down due to the hurricane,” Eric says to me.

What the f*ck!!!

The plan was to finally return to the Philippines with Eric to present back home as my husband but now unfortunately it has to be delayed.

I had hoped to tell Donald about my own tiny secret soon enough, he needed to know that I was the soon to be CEO of the company partnering with his.

After the party that day, Eric had explained to me his identity as the CEO of Donald Empire. It was funny how I would never have thought that this was even possible although this was also because I have never actually met the CEO of the company in person. He was always off the radar and never socializing.

Though, we were in partnership with their company, only delegated persons from the company were sent to meet with us to discuss business and this was also how I met Mason.

Living my life now as Mrs Donald came with lots of sweetness from Eric and a tender affection which I felt whenever he called me “Yakap Oso”. It sounded so passionate yet familiar in a certain way I couldn’t quite understand.

That was a unique pet name and I wondered why he called me that.

Or maybe it was the fact that I was first of all shocked that he made an effort to speak my language…

“But don’t worry, we would be at this hotel for now hoping that the weather gets better and then we can still both fly to the Philippines. So you don’t have to look so sad okay, Yakap Oso?” Eric says to me and places a peck on my head.

He was so considerate and whenever he watches me intensely, it’s as though he tried to know what mood I was in with every move I made.

I was happy that at least we could still hang around and wait hoping the weather got better. I couldn’t wait to meet Juliana and show her my husband.

Oh, that’s right! I still haven’t called her to tell her about the change in plan but just as I was about to call her, I see her call coming in already and so I pick the call.

“Yea, I know you guys won’t be able to come over today. I just watched the news. Gosh, all my plans have been ruined!!!!” Juliana says immediately the call gets connected.

“I know right…” I humph.

Talk about plans…. We were just on our way to the airport before we got the information and so we diverted and booked into a hotel close by instead.

“Don’t worry, Eric says that as soon as it’s over, we leave immediately. We are still hanging around waiting,” I tell her then we begin to chat about other things.

With each sentence, she wouldn’t fail to include asking about Eric and she talked about all her plans to rub it in people’s faces that I got married to a caring and loving man.

However, I still haven’t told her that my husband was the “Eric Donald”. I planned on telling her once I see her in person and so I keep it as a surprise for her, I could already imagine how loud she would scream.

“Yaka Oso, I just ran a bathe for you now. You need to relax, okay? I have to run along and meet with my PA quickly. I would be right back soon. Don’t miss me too much…,” Eric says to me as he gives me another peck before stepping out.

“Isn’t he the sweetest???!!! I heard everything, my friend!!!” Juliana squeals from the phone once she guesses he was out of hearing zone.

I blush and say, “… Oh, come off it, Juli. You are naughty girl”

“You are the naughty one, Kat. Why haven’t you spilled out the juicy part about how your first night with your husband went. I can’t believe you are no longer a virgin and you still haven’t told me anything about it. You have always wanted to keep your virginity for your husband, right?” she questions.

Oh, we were back to this!!

“Yes, Juli. But I am still a virgin okay. I and Eric are still getting to know each other. I know I want to give in whenever he gets really sweet with me but I am glad he isn’t pushing it,” I reply while I remember how I almost gave in on the night of the last party but held myself back and he respected it while saying that he would wait till I was ready.

“Helloo Kat!!”

I didn’t know I was so much in my thought blushing until I hear a knock at the door and then Juliana screams my name over the phone.

“Hold on, Juli,” I say to her as I wonder who was at the door but then I find out that it was room service and that Eric had asked them to deliver a bottle of wine to me.

I allow the butler in and show him where to drop it.

“A bottle of wine while you relax in the bath I prepared for you, Yakap Oso….” Juli teases me over the phone as she tries to mimic Eric’s voice and we both laugh over it.

The butler serves me the wine and leaves while I sip the wine and try unzipping my cloth then I tell Juli that I would call her later.

But why was I feeling dizzy all of a sudden…

Take this to a few hours later and I wake up wondering what had happened and how I ended up sleeping half naked on the bed when I was supposed to have had my bathe by now.

But instead I am faced with a stern looking Eric Donald, who rushed me out of the hotel room with every coldness in the world. This was weird to me but I wondered if he was having a bad day.

Was the alcohol content that much? Was I light hearted? I was sure I hadn’t sipped too much of that wine to have slept off just like that.

Was he angry because I wasted the bath he had prepared for me?

I kept on asking myself a whole lot of questions as well as why we were going back home all of a sudden but then I decide to ask him later when he was a bit calm perhaps.

We finally get home, he walks in and I follow him behind closely as he walks into a room that wasn’t ours.

But this room had my belongings packed inside, my curiosity piques and so I walk in front of him to ask but he cuts in.

First he splashes a file on the bed and then says, “… this would be your room henceforth”

I bend down to look at the content of the file and I am beyond shocked.

It felt like he was just going to leave without saying anything but then he couldn’t hold it in anymore.

“After making me think that you were different, this is what you do to me!!! I was ready to love you with all of me, Katarina!!! I was going to wait for you!!! You made me fall in love with you and then you ridicule me like this??” Eric screams out as he kept hitting his hands on the wall so hard.

It was as though he had a lot to say but it only hurt as he said it.

Yet, everything happening confused me greatly and I didn’t know how to begin explaining what I was seeing still, I tried to grab on to him hoping he could calm down and then we can sort this out together but he swiped my hands off him.

“I will make you regret doing this to me Katarina and as for our marriage YOU CAN NOT LEAVE because I won’t be signing the divorce papers. I will make sure to hurt you just the same way you hurt me now!! You aren’t allowed to leave this house or call anyone!!” He screams and grabs my phone then leaves the room.

Just as he shuts the door, I see two body guards mount there blocking my way.

“ERIC!!! Please come back. Let’s figure this out together….” I yell and sob at the same time while banging at the door but all seems to be muffled as I was sure he was far gone already.

…. and there goes my new life as Mrs. Katarina Donald.
