Lisa strode towards the castle garden, cursing inside her mind that how narcissistic a cold blooded vampire could be!
Literally a simple human girl like her should be sleeping over the bed peacefully at this hour. But look at her poor fate!
She was forced to enter into a garden to find squirrels!
Lisa muttered some harsh words under her breath. Nighttime was considered to be favourite of Vampires. Thus most of the people living in Nelson Castle was awake.
Lisa picked one side of her gown and roamed her eyes across the land. The garden was looking nothing less than a jungle. Big trees were standing in rows and created a separate barriers for the passer-byers.
Her eyes dimmed slightly when she noticed how darker the other side of this garden. Reminding of Cyrus's firm reminder, she continued her journey and entered into the garden.
Her sudden appearence on the garden was seen by Rebecca. She was refreshing her mind while standing on her open corridor. Then Lisa's silhouette just slipped past of her vision.
Rebecca spoke showing her obvious curiousity,
" Did..Did..I just see... that human girl? "
Her maid responded ogling at the way in where she discovered that her petite back a little while ago,
" Yes, Your Highness! That girl seemed to go enter the garden area. I heard that she was punished by the Crown Duke."
Rebecca's featurs turned enjoyable. She grinned before scoffing at her discarded way,
" I knew it! She can never match upto Cyrus's expectations. He just brought troubles on his on own."
The maid was battling to speak few words. With caution, she whispered keeping her eyes glued on the ground,
" But your highness! Don't you feel threatened?"
At that exact moment, Rebecca's face lost color. She shot an icy glare to her maid and scoffed arrogantly,
" Threatened? By a mere human girl? Selina, are you becoming dumb day by day? I am a Princess by blood. How can she match upto my status? Besides Cyrus is wise enough to determine which is good for him."
Rebecca's words came out with self-confidence shutting up the noisey maid who happened to notice those changes in Cyrus. In the past, Cyrus never showed any interest in keeping pet nor did he ever liked to be stayed with a human.
Then what made him so different now?
The sky over Thornlake was full of dark clouds. Thunderstrokes pierced through thr sky sometimes to warn the living creatures out there. A pre-warning before the rainfall was lurking everywhere over the sky.
Lisa sighed helplessly. Entering into the garden, she saw few squirrels jumping over the branches. But the worst part was that they were all over the gigantic trees. Now she had to climb up a tree if she wished to catch one.
Lisa pressed her lips together. Her blood boiled for Cyrus's ruthless reminder. She wanted to chop him to death!
Her eyes stared blankly at the tree for a few good moments. After heaving a long sigh, she approached the tree and started to climb up actively.
A smile creepted on Cyrus's lips when his little mischievous pet took the initiative to climb the tree. Standing from the corridor of second stairs, his vampiric eyes could watch and detect her every single move. Though she was frightened to death, he was surprised that she had stubborn personality just like him.
Lisa grinned proud at herself when she managed to reach at the top branch of a tree. Her green eyes twinkled in excitement when she saw a squirrel sitting and biting something with it's sharp teeth.
Lisa crawled onto it and extended her arm to catch the squirrel. The moment, that squirrel saw her hand coming on its way, surprisingly it stopped biting his own food. Before Lisa could be able to understand his intention on her finger. She cried out in pain and surprise and looked down at those tiny bite mark.
Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the mark of fangs. Her eyes looked up at the squirrel with astonishment and were more confused. Now the squirrel had really showed its two fangs and was ogling at her way.
Holy mother of s**t!
She cursed before wanting to jump down at once. Her body couldn't balance her heavy weight and slipped out from the high branch. Her shrill cry echoed through the garden and mind was fully prepared to get bounced against the ground. Before her back found the ground, she was caught by a pair of slender arms.
Cyrus gasped before she could sprain her back. Fortunately he was keeping a close eye on her and his vampire speed solved the task of reaching her as soon as possible.
Cyrus scolded in a gentle voice,
" What an useless pet you are! "
Lisa tilted her face up to look straight through his dark eyes. She held back a sob and muttered at his face incoherently,
" It's your fault. You didn't tell me that they have fangs like Vampires. I was scared."
Cyrus narrowed his eyes at his pet. She actually dared to scoff at him when she was wrong herself. He breathed in a single word before turning around to walk back inside the castle,
" Punishment doubled! "
" What?", Lisa cried out in fear and protested her sanity,
" I was really going to catch it. Your highness, you aren't being fair with me. What kind of punishment would I get this time?"
Cyrus paused between his walking to the castle. Looking down at her fearful eyes, he uttered with a speak,
" A night with me! "
