Kaden "Alpha Jackson, you are under a serious threat." That caught my full attention. My dad-The Alpha of the first ranked royal family pack-stood tall and proud at the meeting hall where we usually set pack meetings to decide on training and attacks. My eyes perked up at my dad as the symbol on my forehead flashed yellow, I could feel it turning colors on my forehead since I was born with super unique powers. My Büria symbol has protected me so many times during the attacks our pack went through: my symbol has provided me with the shield and the defense against my enemies. Nobody could touch me. I reminded myself. I will protect my pack and that's a promise I made to my parents. Alpha Jackson looked at the minister management member of our pack-Andy Callum-who was also my best friend. He was the youngest of the powerful council but his predicaments and his abilities to sense danger were powerful beyond words. "There is a rogue on the loose and depending on the pack boundaries, she is after all the royal packs," Andy took his eye-glasses off and held the bridge of his nose exhaustingly then continued, "I have spoken to her past destroyed pack, they all have explained to me that she is after us." I didn't listen to the rest of the talk as the heavy feeling in my chest grew, I just didn't know what it was. My instincts told me that something big was about to happen to my pack. My senses heightened as one of our warriors stumbled inside with eyes wide and alert. "Alpha Jackson, you have to come to see this." Without any single hesitation, we all ran to the sight of the crime, our pack mind link went to everyone to be careful. We all clogged to the sight of precious Destalia weeping on the ground at the beheaded bunny as the white shield stunningly shone around her like it was her own protector. But how? She was the youngest of us yet she had her own shield power. My expression turned confused as my step sister's eyes looked at us with hurt and depression like she was telling us to leave her alone. "Desta, come here love." I soothed her as I opened my arms to her, the whole pack witnessing the disgusting crime behind me. They were all shocked, more so confused about killing an animal instead of a person in our pack. Destalia's eyes turned light blue and the pack all gasped at the sudden change in Destalia as she left the bunny's body on the ground and stood up. Then, all of a sudden, she collapsed with closed eyes. "Destalia!" I shouted as I ran to her and held her quickly, mind-linking the pack doctor. The pack scurried off to their houses and more warriors were put up to secure the pack borders. If only I knew how to use my shield to protect others. The doctor told me it would take a while to gain control over my powers but I couldn't wait to use them. Alpha Jackson made sure to mind-link the pack about the safety precautions since there was a serious threat behind these borders. I tried to think of any enemies that would do that, but my mind went blank with exhaustion. Today was a very bad, long and tiring day for all of us. I went back home with Destalia in my arms. After the pack doctor left, I carried Destalia to bed as the rest of my siblings got worried behind me. "Don't worry guys, she's fine," I assured. "She went into a temporary coma because she used the shield power and that drained her out. She needs rest so go back to your bed." I ordered after explaining to them. Destalia always reminded me of my mom, it was weird how she looked like her when she was brought out by my step-mom yet her features were like my real mother, Destalia Morgane. Kacey came in right after Alpha Jackson went to handle all the warriors outside. "It's all because of you." Kacey seethed at me in hatred. It was nothing new, she has always disliked me because I was different than her children. So, I didn't reply to anything. "Goodnight beautiful," I whispered in Destalia's ear and kissed her forehead without glancing at Kacey. You can't sleep. You need to look out after your family. I scolded myself as I forced my tired gray eyes to open. I made sure to lock the house behind me as I took off my shirt and hurried to the southern border. I will go to Wildcrest pack for a protection deal. We need all the help we can get. Alpha Jackson informed us all through the mind-link and sped off. Make sure you keep your eyes open. Our pack is in danger so be careful. Andy was beside me as we made sure all the plans were carried out by the trainers and warriors. "I hate when this happens to the pack." Andy was my age and his mate was a working nurse in our pack. The way they look at each other in love made me envious somehow that he found his mate before me. The number of attacks our pack had was countless and each time, we often get drained out entirely because some packs took time to train just to attack us. We were indestructible, we were the longest pack that survived in the history of all werewolf packs. We were also known as the first royal pack, we were closer to the Moon Goddess than any other packs. "Kaden, watch out." Andy hollered as the trees shook with the wind that blew and behind the leaves came a very beautiful girl. "Bea is in the house." She announced smugly with a tilted head and crossed arms along an arrogant smile.
