King Andrew's pov.
I woke up from my sleep by the sound of something falling apart, shattering, the ground clattering, and the wind howling. It was during the day. I was in the palace, in my room, my rightful place as the prince for the supernatural creatures of my world.
Que on que, the door burst open, and mother rushes in, her eyes showing a sense of fear she couldn't conceal. She comes to grab me by my shoulders and look at me with those beautiful emerald green eyes of hers. They look vibrant, ravishing her features. She's in her favourite blue silky gown. She accesses me from arm's length, while I look back at her with those strange, unknowing, innocent eyes. I was naive.
"... you need to leave. There's something wrong with our planet and I need you to get to safety, abreast our important subjects." Says her calculating voice, quivering somewhat.
I didn't grab much of what she's said, so I had asked. "What's happening?" My eyes shift to the outside where there's the destruction. The once tall buildings and fascinating companies, flying carts and zilla-beast of the wind are not there anymore, or at least the buildings are not as beautiful as they used to be. The structure has been forced to collapse, bringing forth the sound of ruins and screams of the species I could hear.
The Werewolves are helping the Vampires, whom are helping the Gypsys, and vise versa. It was interchanging. There was great utopia at the time.
The shaking from my mother brings me back to reality. I look at her with such childish, horrified eyes, begging for her to tell me that this is just an illusion made as a punishment to scare me, perhaps from something I had done which she reproves.
"This is real, ... There's a war going on. I need to take you to the last flying carts we savoured. The human world will keep you safe." She thinks I'm not smart enough to know that it was my brother, one whom I never knew I had, have came back, and now wanted his place.
He adjoined with one of the three witches and used the power to destroy everything. My mother was one of the witches as well, and he killed her. She was his mother too.
She mutters an inaudible word and in the next second, we are in a room where the cart is. She puts me inside it, and activates the buttons.
"I love you, ..."
I wasn't given the chance to return the gesture when the cart flies through the pathway and into the open. In the air, from my height, I watch below, seeing the catastrophe that has been caused.
My cart was getting closer to the portal when there's a pull backwards, and from behind is a rumbling clouds, like a wave, transparent but could be seen as scarlet red. I recognize it to be the colour of the power of the witch that ally with my brother. Mother's was emerald green. The last witch was silver white.
The wave approaches, fast. I watch in silence, in hatred, and in horror as I know whatever it is can't be good. Perhaps that would be my end. As the rift encloses, colliding against my cart, I feel something awaken in me and I know I'll never be the same.
***
"We are here, my king." The foot man tells me, making me open my eyes and sit up from the seat. I shake my head, wiping away the feeling of the last memory I have about what had happened in my past. I don't know much. I can't remember much. This is all I could remember. And I could remember that whenever my mother calls my name, it goes all blank. I hear nothing, but a pitch. I wish I can fight that power that blocks me from fully accessing the memory.
I breath in deeply as I slide the door open, to see that it's dusk already. The night will soon be settling upon us. The power of the darkness will elevate in me once again, as every night.
I climb down the wooden stairs of the cart to the ground, and stare ahead of me to Lin's Castle. Its frame is embodied in the shadows of the late sun, which is diminishing increasingly.
I enter into the building, none of the Vampires, noticing that it's their king in the black robe. I'm wearing a concealing black robe, having a thick black hood that I draw over my head, letting the ends cover the full length of my hair.
My head is down, an anger of mine that's been kept for someone here is soaring out of me. I bawl my hands into a fist as I walk effortlessly in my steps, continuing on the path. The Vampires that passes by me each watch my passage, the aura that evolve from me is being perceived by them.
In front of me is the closed door to the throne room of Lin's. The bulky guards, on seeing me walk towards them, prepare themselves. I don't stop in my tracks. On getting closer to them, where they'd want to slow me down, I unveil myself to them, and their eyes widens. That's it. That's the power you have when you are the king of them all. This is what I wanted Seth to see with me, to reason with me. It gives you such ability that you know you can do anything, so why chose not to do anything? I will not go easy to them all again. Not after Kara, getting hurt because of it.
My gait is quick, and long as I continuously approach. The double handle door opens right before I get to it, and without stopping, I enter into the room.
My gaze caught Lin, sitting on his throne, that's on the other side of the room, opposite to me. I see that all my assigned kings are here as well, meaning that I would have been the one left, assuming I had decided to come the next day.
They are talking, not minding the fact — or just not noticing— that I am approaching Lin. He's having a talk with his daughter, Mia, and he chuckles every now and then.
His eyes turn to me, likely having felt the connection, the hood is still covering my face however. Then, I notice that the other three kings are paying attention as well.
"Andrew?" Lin says, unsure. He inhales the air, my gait almost reaching where he is sitting. I raise my head, letting him see that it is truly me, my eyes are red, echoing the anger that I have in stock for him.
"Why do you come on such unannounced time? We are just having feast for the night, perhaps you'd..." In the middle of his fast speech, smiling over to me, my jaw twitches as I swirl my body around so fast he even couldn't dodge the smack I gave his face, the effects, hurling him off his seat to the ground, next to it.
I pad up the remaining steps, and take off the hood, my eyes searching the room, wandering. Once I've seen the shock on each and every Vampire's face, my inside is satisfied and I prepare to take Lin's seat on the throne, when on his lying position he glower and snarl at me.
My head snap to his direction, and I growl back, feeling my very own heart rumble from the rage. His own fury crawls up his chest, and his eyes radiate redness. Mine glints back increasingly, adding to the redness.
I am quick once again, at picking him up the ground, and running over to the wall, so that I can latch his back against the hard surface, making him gnash his fangs as the pain erupt in his spine.
He falls down back, hitting the ground heavily when I release him. I look over to find Akanji, in his stunned figure like the rest of them, and with a look of afraid-ness.
He had left on the day after the attacks from The First Men. Once he's done his part in fighting, he came here to join Lin, Moko, and Clark.
I control him by using my mind and the power fed from the curse to bend his body, and in return, compel his bending powers on my accord. As an air Bender, he will successfully do what it is that I have in mind for Lin.
Akanji's hands move and rotate around each other, his palms circling around one another. It was a fast moment as he bends the air into a fist ball, and make a stance to hold his frame when he throws it over at Lin, clipping him to a fixed position. Moko and Clark still watch me with amazement, still reeling over the thoughts whether this is real or not.
It is real. And infact I am enjoying the view. I look down at Lin, kneeling on the floor, on the mental part of me, my mind is controlling Akanji's body. The power of being the king of all is alluring, only if I had thought of using it for this before. Every one needs to learn.
I am doing this to Lin because he'd allow his daughters to want to hurt Kara, and he even talks s**t about her and that s**t is what I'm going to show him. He needs to learn. I will show him my own anger from the curse. His daughter, Mia, knows better not to fight. She rather goes to her knees as she climbs off her seat, beside her father's throne and bow her head along. The aura of power that radiate off my body gives room for no fights or disagreement. I've bent all to my will.
I make Akanji use the air ball to circulate around Lin's head, making a kind of enclosure. A tentacle from the air ball enters into his mouth, and a howling sound emits, alongside his inhuman growl. I'm making him re-see his past, how his wife died. This time he's learn to respect me. All this doings while I'm just standing before him. Such power. Such intensity. I can feel the curse pulsing through my veins, the agony of the beast streaming past my stagnant blood, and I let it sink in, fully in preparation to accept true audacity of the Werewolf in me. My Vampirism is ready to accept him — the Beast. The nocturnal.
I go to take the throne, and wave my hand in a dismissive manner, causing Akanji to get hold of himself. He hurriedly rush to Lin, and begin to apologize for what he's done. He blames himself rather than me.
Once I've taken Lin's seat, my eyes rove around and I say. "I am here, the cursed, the King of all Vampire's Kings. The four of you are my assigned and I shall be the one making orders for you. I've gone too easy on everyone, making you lack respect." I inhale through my nostrils, my face going skywards, when I put it back down, I exhale through my mouth as my eyes glint the more in scarlet red, and obsidian black, each taking the features of my unleashed monster and beast.
"Tonight, we attack the Werewolves camp, and afterwards, we shall talk about my mate, Kara...your queen." Then, I whisper the last part. "And I'll like to see who's ready to meet the same fate as Lin's when you think she should be killed."
Silence overcomes, my eyes wandering around each of them, as they look back at me. Lin, on the ground watches me with such eyes of confusion. Now, all will know that I have changed; Vampires, Werewolves, Gypsys, and the Hunters.
