Chapter 4

Analisa's POV Months have passed since that nightmare of a day occurred. Trust and believe my parents made me make up for the missing time I used to recover. They legitimately told me the beautiful and famous do not get a day of rest. Tonight we are attending a charity event. I planned on going alone but Declan begged me to allow him to be my date. Our relationship is better. It was shaky for awhile, but sometimes I get a weird feeling like something bad is going to happen. He has proved through his actions that I am important to him and he loves me. I asked him if his cousin would be coming with him and he actually said no. I am so happy now. Do not get me wrong, he has stopped staring at me when I am not looking at him, but there is something different about him, more so now that he has turned 17 years old. He has taken a liking to modeling and acting even though he is the football captain of his team in school. Which to me is a little weird because he just woke up and wanted to do all 3. I am waiting for the day when he realizes it is hard work and not worth the extra effort or time. Another thing I find to be weird is that he is at all the movie castings and photoshoots I attend. He said it was for him to gain experience, but if he wanted to learn, there is school or special classes he could take like I was forced to do. My phone is ringing again. Does it ever stop? I look at the caller's ID and saw it was Declan. I looked around and spotted my assistant, Ryan. Yes, I finally got one. I motioned for him to answer, which he did. 'Hello Mr. Declan, Miss Analisa is currently busy. Can I take a message?' Ryan nods and hums 'Okay I will ask her and get back to you as soon as possible. Have a good day Mr. Declan, Bye for now.' He made sure the call ended before smiling and saying, "He wants to know what you are wearing this evening so he can match you." I raised my eyebrow. "Interesting he has never done that before, he usually just wears a black suit and white button-up." He has a curious look on his face. "Maybe he is trying to show everyone you are together publically." "We have been spotted together so the world already knows. It is not necessary for him to change tactics now." "Do you want me to let him know?" I chuckle because it is time for petty payback. "Yes, let him know. Oh, and also make sure you are also matching me. If I need to find you at the event, it will be easier." He nodded and walked off to do what he was told. I smiled to myself as I watched him disappear. I know getting a male assistant was a huge blow to Declan's ego, but having a male assistant who doubles as a security guard was what I needed. It was rather funny when me and Ryan made the front cover of a gossip magazine, even when my parents and Declan did not find it funny at all. He was photographed with that model that awful day and I did not make a big deal out of it, yet he did when he saw me pictured with another. It was so stupid I even had to bring that up so he would listen long enough to tell him who the guy was. He apologized so many times I ended up just hanging up because he called in the middle of my work out. I looked at my watch and saw it was time to go to the spa and get ready for this charity event. You would think I would be able to have a face clear of make-up and dressed casually when making my way to the spa, but nope. I have to go full glam and dressed as if I am going to have my photo taken just the way my mother expects. After finally making it inside, the staff locked the door behind me. I look at them curiously but they tell me the whole spa was rented out just for me. I did not rent this place, so who? I decided to ask "Who rented the entire place because I didn't?" They all giggled and one woman answered. "The guy said he wanted to remain anonymous." I nodded and gestured for them to lead the way so we could get started. I finally got to remove my make-up and my face feels so much lighter. I heard gasps. I quickly turn around and see them all staring at me with wide eyes and their mouths open. "Is something wrong with my face?" They shake their heads and the woman that spoke earlier says, "You are very beautiful without make-up. Why do you wear it?" I laughed but they looked shocked. "Sorry about that. Do you know who my parents are?" They all seemed to try and think about whether they knew. "Do not stress yourselves. My parents are well known in their professions and have an image to uphold. That is why I wear make-up." They all took a breath that they all seemed to have been holding. The process was extremely relaxing, but now it is over and it is time to get ready. I asked if they could let Ryan and my stylist in and 2 of them ran to do it. Moments later, I saw them enter and bringing everything they needed. The stress from seeing all that stuff makes me frown until I hear one of the staff members from the spa say "Frowning gives you wrinkles." I chuckle again. "My mother says that all the time." She looks away embarrassed. I take my seat and let the stylist do their thing. After what seems like forever, I am dressed in a long burgundy dress with a high slit showing my right leg and black glittery stiletto . My hair was curled into a half up, half down hairstyle, my make-up dramatic like always. My gold jewelry is simple yet elegant. I looked at Ryan who was already dressed in a black suit and burgundy button-up with a black tie. He also had on a gold watch, gold tie clip, gold cufflinks and a small golden rose lapel and a burgundy pocket square. He notices my stare and smiles at me, and looks away. I know I have a boyfriend but I also have eyes and Ryan looks super attractive, he is the definition of tall, dark and handsome. Wow, I cannot get over how it goes really well with his bronze skin tone and stormy gray eyes and short black hair. Damn, I need to stop staring, it is getting embarrassing. I looked away but in the corner of my eye I saw him stealing glances at me. Now I understand why Declan was upset about the assistant being a guy, but to be fair, Ryan is the most qualified. He is also 3 years older than me, for now, because my birthday is in 3 days. Ryan gently touched my arm to get my attention. "Are you ready? We need to go so we can make it on time." I thanked everyone for all their help and left with Ryan trailing behind me. We pulled up to the venue and I immediately saw Declan in a burgundy suit, black button-up and silver suit accessories. Wow, he always says he prefers silver over gold, but I thought he would match me to the T. I guess not. He is smiling as he approaches my car. As I stepped out, his eyes were directly on me until he heard the gasps and whispers. He looked at them and saw them looking from me to Ryan, so he looked at him too. Declan blinks at him and then turns to me. I grabbed him and kissed him passionately to stop the press from creating more rumors. I knew this would happen and I was prepared for it. After we break our kiss, I say out loud "You look handsome, baby." "Thank you my love, you look stunning." I pull away from him. I know he wanted to ask why Ryan's outfit was coordinated with mine. I turned to the press and smiled my award-winning smile, allowing them to take as many photos of me as they could. After I was done with that, I walked into the venue and spotted my parents along with my godparents. I went to walk towards them when I heard a deep voice. "You just going to walk past me as if you did not recognize me?" I quickly turned and saw my twin brother. "Bold of you to think I would recognize you. I mean you left me to go to a boarding school when we were 8 years old. I haven't seen or heard from you in over 10 years, Brother." He chuckles "I chose boarding school over what our dear parents planned for us. Seeing you being forced into something you never wanted shows I made the right move." I scoffed. "Yeah, I was not allowed to leave after you left. Only one of us was granted that courtesy. Looks like I got the short end of the stick while you got freedom from our parents." "Hmm, I guess you are right but we are twins, so I got to live for us while you lived for them." "Funny how you remember you have a twin when you see her in person, probably because we are not totally identical, so you don't picture me when you look in the mirror. What are you doing here anyway?" "Wow, is that how you are going to be with your little brother? Anyway, I am here because I am representing my school." "I see, and you are only 20 minutes younger. Promise me something, Nathaniel." "Alright, tell me." "Stay far the f**k away from our parents. Do not let them drag you back home." "I count on it. I am sorry sis for abandoning you and staying away for so long. I did keep tabs on you through the internet as much as I could." "Yeah, well, I made do with what I was left with. I hope you do the same. See you around." He walks off as Declan approaches me. "Who was that?" I glance at him. "My brother." He grabs my arm and turns me to face him. "You have a brother?" I laugh "You must have forgotten about him since he has been away for a long time. Now do you mind? I need to go greet my parents." He allowed me to start walking away. I paused halfway. "Do me a favor and do not mention you saw my brother." He agreed. I finally made it to my parents, who both had an eyebrow raised. My mother was the first to speak. "What took you so long?" "Mother, I had to stop and talk to an acquaintance. My apologies. You and Annette look beautiful". I turned to look at my father and Samuel. "You both look handsome." My godparents thanked me and complimented me in return, whereas my parents both just nodded. My father glanced at both men, then back at me. "Daughter, you can't choose only one date. You needed 3?" I gave my father a curious glance and he pointed in another direction. We all turned and saw Austin in a black suit, black button-up, burgundy vest, stripped burgundy/gold tie and gold accessories. "What the actual f**k!" Declan shouts and goes to move towards his cousin. I grab him to stop him but he says "That son of a b***h. Is that why he asked me if I was going to match you?" I am speechless. "You are only partly matching me though." He bites his bottom lip harshly. He gently pulls away and stomps towards his cousin. Me and Ryan follow behind him and it looks comical because my father is right. I now regret having Ryan coordinate his suit to match me. Declan spoke angrily "Austin, what do you think you are doing? Hmm, because right now you are making me look real bad by matching MY girlfriend." Austin gestures towards Ryan. "What about him? Did you get angry when you saw her assistant also matching her? By the looks of it, we both did a better job than you, cousin." Declan goes to attack Austin but I grab him and pull him to me. I slid my hands around his waist. He glares at his cousin and turns back to me and roughly kisses me, punishing me. We hear a scoff and we look at Austin who is glaring daggers at Declan.
