THE GOLDEN PRINCESS

There lived a hunter in the forest of Odwalzilome. he lived with his wife, Agbani, and his son Obi. The hunter, chukwu was a very handsome and huge man so was his son, obi. he was very light-skinned, tall, and huge, and his teeth were sparkling. they lived in the forest after they had been chased out of their village. Chukwu was wrongly accused by another hunter who was richer than him of theft. One very day, Chukwu was going to hunt on the other side of the forest. he saw an animal and shot it but no bullet came out of the gun so he added more bullets into the gun and came closer to the animal then he realized that it wasn't an animal and that it was a human being. A very beautiful light-skinned girl lying on the floor with royal clothes on .chukwu went closer to the girl and realized she was sleeping. soon he sighted a deer, he shot it, the noise woke the sleeping Princess up. She jumped up and knelt before the hunter begging him not to kill her. the hunter carried the deer and took the girl home. LOVE STORY BEGINS At the hunter's Agbani quickly went into the kitchen to prepare food for the girl. Obi was dumbfounded by her beauty. Chukwu later knew the princess to be Mamanda. She told them her story which indicated that she was a princess. She said that she was the daughter of the king in Ubo village and she was the king's favorite daughter. It was her sister whose jealousy turned into hatred that framed her as she stole her crown and jewelry. The council of chief concluded that she should be sent out of the village and away from its environment Immediately, obi developed a liking for her. Mamanda helped Agbani with washing the dishes and sweeping the floor while Obi fetched water, and splits firewood. Obi and Mamanda go to fetch firewood. Obi and Mamanda's bond was so tight that they did almost everything together. At this time they were both fourteen years old. Six years later, obi proposed his love to Mamanda, she approved it.
