The next few moments became a confusing mix of questions and reassurances everything would be okay for the young man. While Brandon tried to assure everyone he was okay, Aiden walked up to the board and welcomed the loving hug from Megan.
“Is he all right?” she whispered, watching for signs of strain from either the father or the son.
“For now. But Detective Carson has made it abundantly clear Brandon is his prime suspect. And you know as well as I do, he’s not a man to be persuaded to change the direction of his investigation. Brandon was with Shannon last night, so the detective thinks this makes him the killer.”
