HE LOVED THE WRONG ME

CHAPTER5: HAPPILY EVER AFTER..NOT

The day of the marriage started and ended beautifully. This time I did not hide like I did in my past. I walked around with my husband in Aurora's body feeling good about myself. My husband was all smiles when greeting his colleagues at work and I was happy about everything.

It was hard avoiding the several wines passed to me for a toast but I had to do it because of the pregnancy. After hours of celebrations we finally went home as a married couple. When we got to the door, Adrian stopped me from coming down the car.

"You're my wife, allow me to help you" he carried me in bridal style to our master bedroom. This is definitely different from our past where he spent the night in a bar drinking away the pain of not marrying the love of his life.

I was scared of having an intimate moment with him because in both lives, this will be my first time, I became nervous, quite in control and if we do anything, it might hurt the baby. So I had a worried look on my face while Adrian came out from the bathroom looking refreshed.

"You look worried, don't worry we will just sleep tonight love. I know you must be stressed from the wedding, I will sleep in the guest room and when we get more comfortable with each other, we can sleep together. Good night" he kissed me on the cheek before walking out of the room.

I was in awe of his kindness. This is the first time I am receiving such response from him.

The next morning, I decided to wake up extra early to prepare breakfast for Adrian and myself, I need to make him fall in love with me, the real me and not Aurora whose body I'm in. I hope he gets to know who I am and he doesn't run away from me this time.

I made the perfect English breakfast that consists of eggs and toast and as I was arranging it on the dinning table, he walked in dressed in a tailored suit looking so handsome that I paused to stare

"Wow, I knew something smells amazing. Look at all you've prepared for me and I expected you to still be resting." He said with a smile as he sits down on the head chair after giving me another kiss on the cheek. This warmth is something I'm not used to but I am grateful for.

"I want you to have a homemade meal before your work.."

"It looks delicious Aurora, thank you. I remember your mother said you don't know how to cook so I am surprised you did all this"

I got nervous that my cover was blown. At home, Aurora is the one who followed my dad to his office while avoiding house chores and I am the one who stayed at home doing everything to please my mother. So it's no surprise that, I can cook and she can't.

I laugh his comment off while dishing more eggs for him. We had breakfast together while interacting. Tried to get to know each other more and I acted like the perfect virtuous wife. This part was easy because Aurora and Adrian did not spend much time together prior to the wedding so I can act as my true self and he wouldn't get too suspicious.

The first days of our honeymoon faze went like this, I will make breakfast for him and he will go to work while I stay at home. When he comes back, if he isn't too busy, we will either watch a movie together or play card games. It was the dream relationship I always wanted and seeing Adrian being nice and romantic to me helped elevate the crush I have on him especially when he brings me flowers after work.

Yesterday, Sebastian called me with an unknown number and I picked,

"Aurora, I am sorry for sleeping with you when you were drunk but it has happened and now we are having a baby. If you don't give me money for me to take care of yourself, I will tell that rich dude you married that you're pregnant with my child...lets see how he likes it when his wife is carrying another man's baby hmm" he threatened to reveal my pregnancy to Adrian and I got so scared that I agreed to do what he wants. And that scumbag asked for a large sum of money from me. I wonder why my sister even associated herself with him and now I have to go through all this.

Thankfully my pregnant belly has not started showing because I know that revealing my pregnancy to him will ruin this happy bubble we have now.

Adrian just came back home and I helped him arrange his casual wear for him to change into, I was about to bring his lunch upstairs since he looked tired when he hugged me from behind and whispered in my ear

"Aurora, I'm so happy that I married you. The time I saw you earlier I was a bit skeptical because you were not nice to me and you had a fiery spirit . I don't know how you changed drastically.."

"Are you saying that you don't like my change?" I asked him while feeling nervous

"No no, I do. You're perfect, I'm just thankful that this happened."

I tapped his hand in comfort and walked away from him so fast out of nervousness, if my secret gets revealed I am done for. I am already scared that my Sister who is in my body will soon come and confront me when she realizes what's going on and now Adrian is suspicious of my character change. It's a lot to take in.

I hurriedly walk out of the room area towards the stairs to get food for Adrian. But as I was rushing down the stairs, nervous from everything that has been happening, I fell from the stairs. Rolling down until I hit the floor.

"AHHHHHHHHH! MY BABY!!! ADRIAN!!!" I screamed in pain

I feel so dizzy and my tummy feels like I have been stabbed by ten thousand needles

"Help!!!!!!!"

"Aurora what happened to - oh my god Aurora!!"

Adrian rushes down to meet me and as he tries to carry me up, we noticed a lot of blood flowing from me and spilling on the floor.

I know that the baby is gone, this isn't right. The old man, I need to see him again I said to myself.
