A Little Ben
There was silence between them for a few seconds and it irritated Ben. He stared at Evie in such a way that he wanted to enter her mind to know what she was thinking. Evie, on the other hand, was unsure what to say, and she was confused about why he looked so mad.
"I didn't want to wake you up, so I just left a note," she finally found herself saying.
Ben stared at her for a while and tried to hide his feelings in his expression.
"I would have preferred if you woke me up instead, so I could have saved myself from looking like a fool looking for you," Benjamin sarcastically said.
The air between them suddenly changed into a suffocating tension between the two strangers who spent the night together. Evangeline couldn't believe what she heard. He really looked for her?
