Most people, when asked about love stories, would probably say Romeo & Juliet first since it is what usually comes into their mind. Most people, when asked about ghost stories, would dither & some might answer that they do not watch nor read such things due to their frightening content. But what happens when a ghost story and a love story clash. Would it be as frightening as what other people predict it to be? Will it make the ladies fall in love like what other love stories do?

It might be a bit hard to imagine what the story might turn out, what the ending might be, or what the story is about. But I do know an unusual love story that occurred due to a ghost story. I prefer to call this . . . A Ghost Love Story. I bet you all are curious to find out what kind of story it would be. Well, let me start narrating it to you then. . .

Chapter 1: A Ghost Story
It all started on a rainy day………. Drip drip drop. . . The rain kept on pouring heavily. I can clearly hear the sound of each drop falling. But I plugged in my earphones & listened to my favorite kinds of music on my phone. It always helps me work better, especially when I’m all alone at times like this. *sigh* “There’s so much work to do…….so many books to organize. Does any student in this school know how to return their books to the library in a proper way? All of these books are rearranged & some aren’t even alphabetically arranged.” – I murmured to myself. I usually do that, and I don’t know why. “Gracie?” – Prof. Lymrith called. She's a professor in the subjects of arts & music at this school. She is also my older sister, and we are very close. She has been taking care of me ever since mom & dad died from a car accident decades ago and until now that I’m in middle school. She’s been more like a mother to me. But when I came to this school where she teaches, we tried to keep our relationship a bit more professional. I don’t wanna be called a “special student” just because my sister was our professor. Like, who would want that? “You’re still working in the library?” – Lymrith asked. “Yeah…there’s too much work here,” – I replied to her with a smile. “Ok, but come home immediately as soon as you finish.” – She says in a very caring tone. “Yes, Madam,” – I smiled sheepishly. She laughed for a bit, then stopped as she immediately remembered something. “Grace, I saw your friends Chelsea and Kayla in the corridor a while ago. They were looking for you so I told them that you might still be, at the library working. I was also curious, so I checked where you were, and I was right. You were here all along.” “Oh, well, there’s nowhere else in this gigantic school I’ll be interested in staying in from the rain but in the library.” – I said to her. “And plus, I do work here too, so this is really like my official room here in the school.” “Well, I should be going now. I’ve got tons of paperwork to do, and their deadlines are very near. I’ll have to wait for you in the house, young lady, but don’t you worry, I’ll cook dinner, so once you’ve arrived, we can eat.” – She said, smiling as she walked towards me and kissed my forehead. “Thanks, sis” – I smiled in reply. Suddenly, we heard giggles and chattering, so we looked at the door to see that it was my friends. “Hey there, we’ve been looking for you for like, forever” – Chelsea said as she ran towards us. They both greeted my sister, or should I say “Professor Lymrith Jane Synders” and said Hi to me. “Well then, I best be going girls” – my sister said as she waved her hand goodbye to us. “Goodbye, Professor Synders” – Chelsea & Kayla said while also waving. There were a few minutes of silence before Chelsea managed to giggle. Kayla followed her as well. “What is it, you two?” – I asked as I rolled my eyes out at the cheeky girls in front of me. Chelsea leaned closer to me and whispered something in my ear. “Hey, have you heard?” “Heard about what?” – I asked in a very uninterested manner. “About a ghost wandering around the school halls” - Chelsea continued to whisper. “A ghost?!? You’ve got to be joking.” – I said, annoyed. Like seriously, how on earth would a ghost be wandering this school? “It’s true, Gracie,” – Kayla said while nodding her head. I crossed my arms, raised one of my brows, and looked at both of them. “And how is a ghost supposed to wander around this crowded and gigantic school without me not seeing it?” – I said to the both of them with a serious face. Both of them knew that I could see ghosts. Well, not really like the ones in movies where I talk to ghosts and see all the dead people walking around town. But back when I was a child, my mom said that I would see some spirits from time to time and ask her who they were. Mom said it was good that I could only see good spirits. But as I grew older, I began to see more of them. Both my mom & my dad got scared, so they called some of my mom’s relatives to seal off my third eye. Mom said I might have gotten it from my grandmother, for she, too, could see ghosts. Anyway, they were all stories told to me, for when I grew up, I couldn’t see any more ghosts lurking around. But I do sometimes feel strange, unexplained auras in some places. But I can’t quite recall the last time I’ve seen a dead human being. “He doesn’t come out during the daytime” – Kayla said to me, cutting me from my thoughts. “He?” – I said. “Yeah, haven’t you heard about the story?” – Chelsea “What story?” – I asked. “Seriously, we’ve been in this school for almost a year. All along, we thought you knew about the famous ghost story” “Just hurry up and tell me already, I ain’t got enough time for chitchats. As you can see, I still have a lot of work to do.” “Let me guess, Ms. Mary, our good-for-nothing flirtatious librarian, went out early again to leave you with this mess, and you, being forever in love with books, stayed and took the job.” Kayla narrated, which only made me irritated and asked again… “Get to the story already.”- I looked at Chelsea then. “Alright, alright. We’ll tell ya.” – Chelsea said. “Finally” – I murmured to myself. “Well you see...” – Kayla “HEY GUYZ!” – Kayla was interrupted by a sudden loud shout. We all looked at the door, where we saw some of our friends were standing & waving hello. “Hey there ladies...” – one of our friends said as he slowly approached us. It was Anthony, a very close friend of mine. We were actually childhood friends since our mothers were the best of friends. When the accident happened, his family was the first one to help us. His mom, Aunt Vicky, helped me & my sister a lot. And Anthony had always been there through my hard times and also through my happy times. He was the one who would always make me laugh. I think he is the jolliest friend I’ve ever had. “Well, if it isn’t the friend-zoned guy” – Chelsea said in a sarcastic manner. Kayla then hit her shoulder slightly. “What?” – Chelsea said as she looked at Kayla. And then Kayla gave her the You’re Not Supposed To Say That To Him Out Loud face “Oh wait….your right Kayla, he’s not Friend Zoned…He’s BROTHER ZONED,” – Chelsea said, unafraid, and followed it by a sarcastic laugh. I saw Anthony’s expression change a bit, but Anthony, being well…himself, just smiled and completely changed the topic. “Well, you all know I am an adventurer. I like traveling to different zones. And now we have come here to invite you to a ghost zone” – He said to both of them, then slowly shifted his gaze towards me. “WHAT?!?” – Kayla blurted out. “Anthony, we all know that you like adventures, and we like them too, but what the hell is with this ghost thingy all of a sudden?” – Chelsea spoke to him. “C’mon guyz it’ll be fun.” – One of our classmates stepped up and said to Chelsea. It was Benjamin Wyndham, the slacker in our class. “FUN?!? – Chelsea exclaimed again. “C’mon let’s just try it for once.” – Anthony said to us as he slightly pushed Kayla and Chelsea towards the door. “C’mon Gracie!” – He motioned his head, telling me to go with them, which I did. We continued to walk out of the library. Chelsea kept on blabbering about this being a bad idea as I remained calm & stoic. Kayla, Chelsea & I remained at the back as we let the others lead the way. Anthony was beside me. Soon, we were walking in an unknown place. We kept walking in these unknown halls for a while, and it was actually getting a bit chilly. These halls were starting to give off a creepy vibe. “This is not good. Not Good I Tell You!”- Chelsea exclaimed at Anthony once more wherein all of us gave her a loud “Shushhhhh….” Our voices echoed through the empty halls, which gave all of us the shivers. I was basically feeling a bit different. It felt quite weird... I’ve never felt like this before. It’s like, I do feel like something else is here. But for some unknown reason, I don’t feel that scared. Actually, I kind of feel a little bit at ease. I felt . . . calm? “Here we are guys.” My thoughts went to a halt when I heard Benjamin’s voice. We all looked at him and followed to where he was pointing at. It was an old classroom. The room is filled with old, broken stuff— with many broken chairs. But there was enough room for us to walk around. We then gathered together and squatted down on the old dusty floor. We formed a small circle. Basically, Chelsea, Kayla & I just followed what our fellow classmates were doing. We really don’t know how to play these spirit games. In fact, I have never played any spirit games before. We gathered nearer to form a smaller circle. I listened carefully as my classmates started narrating the procedures on how to play the game. Was it called “Spirit of the Glass”? If you ask me, there’s nothing fun about this game. But there’s something about this place that aroused my curiosity. I don’t know what it is. “Alrighty, then. Now, all of you touch this glass” – One of my classmates, Madeleine, said. “Yes!! I am super excited” – said Benjamin the weirdo. I looked at Chelsea & Kayla as they placed their fingers on the glass. I looked at Anthony, who just gave me a warm smile and touched the glass. With a bit of hesitation, I, too, touched the glass. When all of us had our fingers touching the glass, Madeleine began to sing some chants. I didn’t know what kind of language they were, and I just went with the flow. Suddenly, when Madeleine stopped chanting, I felt something weird. It felt as if someone was watching us. I looked up in front of us but didn’t see anything. They continued with their chants and mumbling words when, suddenly, it felt as if I had just prophesied something. For a minute, I saw a stone thrown right at the center of our circle and the window on our left side being broken. I was shocked and pulled out my hand away from the glass. Everyone then looked at me with a puzzled face. “Is there something wrong, Grace?” – Anthony asked me with a worried expression. “Uhmmm…” – I eyed everyone and looked around the room; everything seemed like before. Still deciphering the images I saw a while ago, I hesitantly shook my head and said: “No…Nothings wrong” – I stuttered. “See nothing’s wrong! c’mon let’s continue, we're almost at the c****x” – Benjamin exclaimed, and the rest went back to concentrate on the game. Chelsea held my hand and I looked at her. With her worried expression, she spoke: “Are you sure you’re okay?” “Yes...I’m okay” – I replied to her with a nod. Then we continued with the game. I just went with the flow, but Madeleine’s tone became serious. “Okay, guys, now we're going to ask a question to the ghost” Everyone simply nodded in agreement. But just as Madeleine was about to open her mouth to ask the question, a stone landed at the center of our circle. Everyone let go of the glass, and some jumped up in shock. The ladies, except for me, screamed in horror. Even Benjamin was a bit afraid based on his facial expression. “That’s it. We are not doing this anymore. Let’s go Grace” – Chelsea grabbed my arm & tried to pull me up while I was staring blankly into nowhere still deciphering what was happening before me. It was the exact situation that I saw a moment ago. Did I just foretell the future a few minutes ago? Still, with a confused mind, I managed to stand up while my classmates were already arguing whether to continue the game. “Oh come on…it was just a stone. It could be a coincidence, you know,” – I heard Hendrickson, the chubby guy in our class, speak. But just after he said those very words, we all heard a loud crash. Everybody screamed in shock. We went to look at where the crash came from. And it was the window on our left. The wind then began to blow from the huge c***k in the glass window. Everybody was startled and then began to race through the door. Still in a daze, Chelsea pulled me with them towards the exit. We were running away, but then I felt the urge to look at my back. The strange feeling came back again. It was as if someone was looking at me. “Grace, hurry!!” I heard Kayla shout. I instinctively ran to catch up with them. “I guess the rumors must be true. There really must be a ghost here.” – I murmured to myself. I must learn about these so-called ghost stories on the campus. I thought to myself as we were running.
