The Beginning of Heaven and Earth

The so-called mythology universe is a multi-series work that shares a mythology worldview and story system. The mythology universe not only involves mythology, but it will also be a unified collection from ancient times to the present. As the saying goes, mythology is ancient science fiction, and science fiction is contemporary mythology. Based on this, I divide the Chinese mythological world into six stages: ancient mythology, ancient fairy tales, medieval fairy tales, modern martial arts, contemporary kung fu, and modern science fiction. So, what maintains the cohesion of these six stages? Is it the power system or the cultivation system? It is not fixed but changes with the environment.First of all, in the era of ancient mythology, it is divided into three small stages: from Pangu's creation to Nuwa's creation of human beings in the creation myth, from Nuwa's creation of human beings to Zhuan Xu's ascension to heaven in the divine myth, and from Chuan Xu's ascension to heaven to Dayu's control of floods in the hero myth. The creation myth mainly tells about the existing gods, the divine myth mainly tells about the gods that came into existence later, and the hero myth mainly tells about the half-gods and half-humans created by Nuwa herself. This is a transition from god to human. The power of the gods, including the divine power of the half-gods, is innate. However, the half-gods and half-humans are not gods, but people created by Nuwa. Especially after many generations, their divine power will gradually be diluted into nothingness, so they will die. With death comes the pursuit of immortality. This pursuit of immortality after birth has led to the emergence of another powerful group who can challenge the gods after the demigods. This powerful group is called the Xian, who are all cultivated from humans or even animals and plants. At this point, a power system emerged, and the mythological universe entered the era of ancient fairy tales. Broadly speaking, this period extends from the creation of humans by Nüwa to the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period. The spiritual energy was extremely abundant during this period, and cultivators could directly refine spiritual energy for their own use, hence they were called "qi refiners". The power system of this stage is called the Qi Refining Stage. Due to the excessive abundance of spiritual energy, there were many immortal cultivators at that time. This inevitably led to conflicts between gods and immortals. In order to suppress the rise of the immortals, the gods cut off all the connecting channels between heaven and earth, making it impossible for spiritual energy to flow, with the intention of severing the foundation of becoming an immortal. This major event was called "Chuanxu Duan Tiandi Gutong" or "The Disconnection of Heaven and Earth Communication by Chuang Xu".
