Prophecy of Doom

“Hey!" Klaus heard a loud call. He opened his eyes, looked around and he was back in his room. Still on his knees and clutching his head, he looked over at Theo who was still right beside, holding him. Trying to slow down his heavy breaths, he tried wrapping his head around what just happened. For a second there he was standing alone in the woods, in his wolf form. ‘What the hell is happening?' He thought wilst getting up to his feet.

“Are you okay? Are you alright man? What the hell just happened?" Theo questioned looking more confused.

“I don't know man, I just felt this exploding migraine and a quick peek into a dreamland"

“Okay, I don't know what you're saying but I think you need to go see someone about these things happening to you. I mean this wasn't happening before... It all started on the day..."

“..of my eighteenth birthday, yeah I know" He cut him off, sitting down on his bed.

“I'm serious man, you need to go see someone about this. Maybe they could figure out what's wrong and maybe help you" Theo pressed on

“Yeah I've heard you, I will" Klaus replied with no intention of ever doing that. He shrugged it off as though nothing serious just happened but his thought was troubled by the reasons behind his constant nightmares and what they meant. He spent the rest of the evening and better part of the night pondering on it.

Waking up to a new morning, Klaus thought things would be different, at least better than the previous day but he couldn't have been more wrong. He felt restless and unhinged and so was his wolf. He could feel him pacing about restless in his head. It was driving him insane. He knew it wasn't his wolf's fault, he hadn't been set free for months now and that cage life was getting to him.

He rolled to his side and checked the alarm clock on the nightstand. He sighed with frustration knowing he needed to get up if he wasn't going to miss the first class. He looked around the room and Theo was nowhere to be found. He wondered where he could have gone so early. Without paying it much attention, he stood and went straight to the bathroom.

He turned on the shower and began undressing, giving it time for the hot water to start coming out. He threw his clothes into the laundry basket and grabbed his towel. He felt the water and it was just as he wanted it. He hopped in and let the water pressure massage his aching bones. He propped himself against the wall with his hand, eyes closed and letting the water run down his body.

He was in his headspace when the thought of Arya crossed his mind. His eyes shot open. ‘Arya!' He called in his head, realizing he hadn't seen her since the morning of the full moon. He hadn't checked on her since they both put whatever it was that was wrong with them to test. Somehow thinking about her now, he felt worried, hoping she was okay.

“Would you just calm down, you're making me restless and agitated" He growled at his wolf who still hadn't stopped pacing in his head. He could feel the anger the beast was emitting. It wasn't just the wolf's but his own to. Their anger had built up over the course of the full moons they hadn't been able to shift.

He rushed through the shower and got out, not feeling the need to take more time. Drying his hair, he ruffled the curls a bit so it fell down, covering his eyes. He threw on a turtle neck sweater, a bomber jacket and a skinny jean. Done and ready to go, the door flung open just as soon as he grabbed his backpack.

“Great, you're ready" Theo called, walking in.

“Where the hell did you go to dude? And you're already dressed for class without waking me up, Again!"

“I just went out for some early morning fresh air, I needed to think... You know, clear my head" Theo replied, picking up his own backpack.

“What the hell do you have to think about?" Klaus asked

“The mating ceremony dude... It's in two days. I'm nervous man, I mean I might find my mate. What if she rejects me or what if I don't find her at all?" He questioned, looking clearly worried.

“Now is not the time to be worried about that man. You have tomorrow to worry about that. Don't worry, there are a lot more wolves out there than you think. You'll definitely find your mate. I'm sure about that and she won't reject you. I know I tease you a lot but have you seen YOU? Girls are always lining up for you... You should know since you're the one going through them one after the other, you manwhore. Don't worry it'll work out" Klaus assured him.

“I hope so man, it'll be amazing to have a mate... what about you? Aren't you worried about yours?"

“Nope, not at all" He shook his head. “Now let's go to class" He added with a small smile. As soon as Theo walked past him, his smile faded. He had lied, he was worried, very worried about it. If he doesn't find a mate, not only does he not get a mate, but he'll still have to continue his punishment. He heaved a deep sigh before walking out and shutting the door quietly.

Getting to the first class of the day, Mr Rogers' class, combat lessons. Klaus and Theo dropped their backpacks at the side of the training ground same as the other wolves. The class had already started and just as they joined the others around the circle, they saw Ralph pinning his opponent in a headlock. He had a smug look on his face. “Now that's what I'm talking about! You don't give your opponent a chance to breathe. Thank you Ralph" Mr Rogers stated walking into the circle and ending the fight.

“Isn't golden boy tired of the constant show off?" Theo whispered to Klaus.

“How ironic that he had to have a golden color hair" Klaus replied

“Yeah with that chiseled smug looking face, Ralph Rolf... God! The boy is just so clíche"

Klaus scoffed, shaking his head.

Noticing this, Mr rogers turned his attention to Klaus. “Thank you for finally joining us, Mr Moon. Why don't you step in against Ralph, let's see how much you've both learnt" He said to him. “Come on, step into the circle... Give them some room people"

Klaus rolled his eyes before walking into the circle. He was irritated by Ralph grinning from ear to ear. Now their build wasn't much different. Ralph was as tall as Klaus if not taller. Cut as much as a Beta their age could get. His brown eyes screamed eagerness. “I'm gonna beat the moonlight out of you Moon"

“Okay stop using my last name and secondly that was a good pun disco boy" Klaus quipped

“Alright boys, you know the rules... Whenever you can't go on anymore, you concede. Now begin!" Announced, Mr Rogers.

They began moving around in circles, each waiting for the other to attack first. Ralph bounced around, holding his fists up. Tired of waiting for Klaus to throw the first punch, he dashed toward him throwing a right jab. Luckily Klaus blocked the incoming punch with his left hand and took the opening too quickly land a right hook to Ralph's rib.

Ralph bounced back, shrugging off the effect of the punch. He sniffled, watching Klaus' movement. Ralph began preparing to do his favourite tricky move. He dashed toward Klaus again, this time swinging a very predictable kick, as soon as Klaus caught the kick, Ralph quickly followed with forceful roundhouse which landed on Klaus' neck, bringing him down to his knees.

Seeing this, Ralph swiftly rushed him, grabbing his neck from behind. He hit Klaus' ribs repeatedly before quickly getting him into a headlock. He started squeezing tight, choking him. Klaus could hardly breathe. “I told you I would beat the s**t out of you, yellow eyes“ Ralph whispered into his ear whilst still choking him.

Angered by his comment, Klaus could feel his anger brewing and ready to surface. He grabbed Ralph's arm that was around his neck and began pulling it away slowly. Ralph doubled on his force, trying to keep his hand in place but it was getting harder with Klaus' pull. Klaus then shut his eyes and let go of Ralph's hand, letting it tighten around his neck again before tapping the hand three times, conceding.

“Well, there you have it! Ralph did it again" Mr Rogers stepped in ending the fight.

Klaus stood up, catching his breath, he glanced back at Ralph who was giving him a questioning and knowing look. Klaus averted his gaze and walked back to where Theo was. “Are you good?" Theo asked

“Yeah I'm straight" He nodded

“Alright then, who's next?" Mr Rogers asked.

Arya picked up her food tray alongside Blair and they moved to an empty seat in the cafeteria. It was lunch break before their last class for the day. Arya sat down opposite her friend before breaking the news. “You know, I somehow envy the wolves. When it comes to this mate stuff. At least they have the certainty of knowing whose the one for them. Sure, ours allows us the gift of choice but We only do this young love thing once you know. Soon we'll graduate and be sent to different covens where we'll serve, pick someone, get married and live our lives forever, not knowing if we chose the right person" Blair pointed out.

Arya furrowed her brows. “Now you just made our lives sound so depressing"

“Well it is... which is why we should enjoy the fun now"

“What fun?" Klaus said beside them alongside Theo. They hadn't noticed their presence until they heard his voice.

“Klaus!" Arya called out with excitement and relief in her voice. She didn't realized she almost yelled his name until she saw them staring confusedly at her. “Sorry for my squeaky voice, it must be the pulp from the juice" she added awkwardly and then took a sip from her juice. “I'm just glad you're okay". It was already awkward with Blair's constant stares at her. It wasn't helping being in Klaus' presence, especially since she's been having those s****l dreams about him.

“You must be the new witch" Theo spoke up. “I'm Theo, Klaus' only friend" He introduced, sitting down next to Blair.

“Nice to meet you, I'm Arya"

“And I'm Blair" Blair chipped in.

“Why wouldn't I be okay?" Klaus asked, sitting down next to her and setting his tray on the table.

“You know, with the hand holding and waking up hours later in our rooms stuff" She replied quietly not wanting anyone else to hear.

“Wait! That's the reason you've been appearing in the bedroom and waking up hours later?" Theo asked with disbelief.

“Yeah dude. When we hold hands it happens. I'll explain it to you later" He replied before turning back to Arya. “Well I'm fine, thanks for your concern. I guess we are both okay then. Now we just have to figure out why it's happening" He added

“Maybe you both are cursed" Theo blurted out.

“Yeah, thanks Theo, you're as insightful as always" Klaus rolled his eyes.

“You're right though, we need to find out why it's happening" Arya said to Klaus

“Or maybe you're both just cursed" Blair shrugged

“Will you both stop it with the curse talk?!" Arya stated.

“Hey Moon!" Ralph called walking toward him with his girlfriend, Lara holding his arm. “Why are you sitting here eating? You should be in the training room, so you wouldn't get another round of ass kicking" He laughed with Lara joining in, flicking her red hair.

“Let's go babe, this seems like the losers club" Lara scoffed. “See you all in history" She called as they walked away.

“I take it those are the mean guys?!" Arya inquired

“Yeah you could say that. That's the school golden boy. His father is a well known Alpha, so he's a future Alpha and that's his girlfriend. I mean to be honest, Lara is one hell of a shewolf, she's hot, but it's too bad she's one of the mean ones" Theo explained

“Well the hot ones are usually the mean ones" Arya chipped in

“You're hot... You both are hot and I don't see you being mean" Said Theo

“Well thank you for that" Blair smiled

“I'm just wondering what's gonna happen to them if on the mating ceremony they find out they aren't mates. I hope I'm there to watch them break all over the place" Klaus smiled

“That is true" Theo laughed just before the bell rang.

“Time for history guys. Let's go" Arya stood up.

The four of them made their way to history class. They got there same time as Mrs Dawn. Arya and Blair sat in front of Klaus and Theo.. Without wasting much time, Mrs Dawn started.

“I take it you all are almost through with the history assignments. Everyone is to partake in it" She annouced and then looked over to Arya. “What about you Arya? You're the new girl and I expect some seriousness from you more than the others. Hope Klaus is assisting and you're almost done?"

“Yes he is and we are almost done" She lied with a straight smile on her face.

“Good. You better assist in it, Mr Moon"

“Of course teach" Klaus replied

“Now let's dive into the history of today!" She began, scribbling the name of the school on the black board. “Phoenix high. We....." She paused when they all heard loud pitching noise coming from behind.

Covering their ears and turning to look at the source, they saw all the students from the last line standing up and standing straight, their eyes scary white and their heads tilted upwards a bit. Simultaneously, they all began chanting the prophecy together. “Be warned! For when the evil seed sprouts and the broken is whole again, darkness shall lurk and doom will be inevitable.. Be warned! For the prophecy of doom has returned"
