After learning of Brent's escape, the four of us immediately caught the first flight to Boise. I was hesitant to bring Tessa but decided with her pregnancy and Brent knowing about it, she was safest if we weren't separated.
"That's twice now that someone escaped Council custody!! Didn't they enforce their security after Lena and David escaped them!?" I shouted to no one in particular on the plane.
"According to Amos the Council guards had eyes on Brent at all times and never let him leave his cell. He was going to be executed tomorrow. This morning Brent feigned being ill and because he's a human, they took him to the infirmary to make sure nothing was amiss.
