Alpha Kaine of the Moonlight Pack was a formidable leader, feared and respected by all who resided in the mystical forest. His silver fur glistened under the moonlight, matching his piercing eyes that seemed to see right through anyone who dared to challenge him. Known for his strength, wisdom, and unmatched ferocity in battles, Alpha Kaine was a force to be reckoned with. Despite his intimidating exterior, there was a loneliness that haunted Kaine. Deep within his heart, he longed for his Luna, a mate who would stand by his side and complement his fierce spirit with her grace and compassion. But finding his mate proved to be a challenge, as none of the she-wolves in the pack seemed to match the fire that burned within him. One night, as the full moon cast its enchanting glow over the forest, a mysterious she-wolf appeared at the edge of the Moonlight Pack territory. Her fur was as white as snow, shimmering like diamonds in the night, and her eyes held a depth of wisdom that mirrored Kaine's own. Intrigued by the stranger's presence, Kaine approached her cautiously, his senses on high alert. "Who are you and why are you here?"

Chapter 1 The beginning
One night, as the full moon cast its enchanting glow over the forest, a mysterious she-wolf appeared at the edge of the Moonlight Pack territory. Her fur was as white as snow, shimmering like diamonds in the night, and her eyes held a depth of wisdom that mirrored Kaine's own. Intrigued by the stranger's presence, Kaine approached her cautiously, his senses on high alert. "Who are you and why are you here?" The woman quickly transforms back to her human self, blood stains her skin and hair. "I....I don't mean any harm." Kaine scoffs. "You're in my territory now, so who are you?" She looks around, obviously scared and flinches, jumping back. "I ah..... I didn't mean to trespass." Kaine's piercing gaze never wavered. He studied her every movement, every word. "You're not one of us. I've never seen you before. What is your name?" "Gemma." "Well, Gemma, you are in my territory now. You may not realize it, but you've entered the territory of the Moonlight Pack. That makes you my responsibility. Are you lost?" "I ...." My voice is shaky "there, all dead" Kaine's expression softens. He knows all too well the pain of losing loved ones. "How did this happen?" "A pack of rouge werewolves." Kaine's fists clench. The thought of a pack of rogue wolves terrorizing innocent beings filled him with rage. "And you survived?" "I ....ran." Kaine's demeanor changed. There was no longer an edge of hostility, but a hint of sympathy. "You did the right thing by running. A lone wolf is no match for a group. You're not hurt?" I'm clearly in shock still, I have blood on my clothes and skin. My long blonde hair splattered with blood "I ... don't know." Kaine's eyes narrowed, his expression becoming concerned. "Your wounds are fresh. You must've just escaped. Here, come with me. We'll get you cleaned up, and I can assess the damage." Her body trembles as she follows you, she keeps her head down. As we walk, she notices how the other wolves give her and Kaine a wide berth. It seems as though you've caught the attention of the entire pack. They whispered to each other, pointing and staring at the newcomer. But Kaine doesn't pay any attention to them. Instead, he leads you into a large cabin, where he directs you to sit at a table. "I'm going to have to check your wounds, is that okay?" She nods her head. Kaine moves behind you and begins to examine your wounds. You can feel his gentle touch as he cleans them. You can't help but notice how close he is, and you feel your face growing warm. Your touch does something to her and the smell you give off feels like home.... could it be, are we mates? Kaine's eyes meet yours, and you feel like the world has stopped. For a moment, it's just the two of you, lost in each other's gaze. Then he pulls away, seeming to realize the intensity of the situation. He cleared his throat. "I...... your injuries aren't too severe, but you'll need to rest. We can talk about what happened later. Do you have a place to stay?" "No, they burnt my village to the ground." Kaine's expression darkens. "This...... this was a full-scale attack. We must report this to the other packs. This cannot go unpunished." He takes a deep breath, seeming to think of something. "But for now, you're safe with us. You can stay here in my cabin. I'll make sure you get everything you need." "Thank you for your kindness." "You're welcome. But you should know, I have one condition." Yes? Kaine looks at you seriously, his gaze lingering on your face. "You have to promise me you'll stay by my side. I won't be able to protect you if I don't know where you are. Can you do that?" Gemma nods her head, her eyes never leaving him. "Yes." "Good." Kaine seemed relieved. "Now, get some rest. I'll bring you some food and water." I lay down trying to get the images of my family dying out of my head..... but it's not working. Kaine sees the look of anguish on your face. He sits down beside you and puts a comforting hand on your shoulder. "I know it's hard, but try to think of something else. I can't imagine the pain you're going through right now." "It was the Red Moon pack." They are a fierce pack and are known for their brutality. "My pack and I never did anything to them...... but they said I was the one they came for...... but why?" Kaine's face darkens. "The red moon pack...... they're known for their viciousness. I know they've been targeting smaller packs lately, but why would they target you specifically? That doesn't make sense." "I ran away before he could capture me. I was running forever ..... no one could catch me...." "Who was the alpha of the red moon pack? I may have heard of him. And how did you manage to escape?" "His name was alpha Zach. He was in his wolf form and was chasing me down a ravine when I jumped off the cliff. It was so tall I thought I was going to die when I hit the river." Kaine's eyes widen. "That was...... incredibly risky. You're lucky you survived. But this Zach...... he must have a reason for wanting you. Have you met him before?" "He said I'm his mate, but I know it's true .... he said one way or another he would have me." Kaine's face darkens. "That's...... disturbing. I've heard of some alphas having a...... possessive attitude towards their mates, but this seems extreme. Do you think there could be another reason for his obsession with you? I mean, he's a fierce warrior. He could have his pick of the litter. Why you?" I shook my head. "I don't know, but I am not his mate." Kaine took a deep breath. "Listen. I don't know what Zach's motives are, but I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe. You're under my protection now. Do you understand?" Gemma took your hands. "Do you really mean that?" Kaine's hands tightened around yours. "You're under my protection. No one, not even Zach, will hurt you while you're with me." Gemma throws her arms around your neck and hugs you. "Thank you." Kaine's heart skips a beat. He hesitates for a moment, unsure of what to do, but then he returns the hug, his strong arms wrapping around you. Gemma's inner wolf begins to howl in her head, as you hold her. Kaine pulls back slightly, looking down at you. His expression is unreadable, but there's a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "You're not afraid of me?" I stare into your eyes, my wolf looking back, my eyes glowing green. "No." Kaine is taken aback by the intensity of your stare. He can't help but notice the way your eyes shine with an almost hypnotic glow. He swallows hard, feeling a strange sense of attraction towards you. Gemma can't take her eyes off you, her inner wolf wants you, and it takes everything she has to not tackle you. Kaine notices the way you're looking at him, and his heart skips a beat. There's something about your gaze that makes him feel like he's being pulled in. He takes a step towards you, his breath catching in his throat. "I .... can't control her yet." Kaine's eyes widen. "Control her?" He takes a step back, giving you space. "You mean, you're not in control of your wolf?" She shook her head. "I've only changed twice."
