Tristan
A small grin graced my lips as I stared down at the sleeping beauty, my fingers grazing her soft cheek which was as soft as clouds. Beside her, slept a kid that had her face… clearly her daughter.
After I saw Kael leave this hospital, I waited a bit before coming in here, determined to find out what he’s doing here to have come in here twice today, per my men tasked with constantly watching him, cause he always has a dirty trick up his sleeves. I came in here thinking I’ll find something worthwhile to hold against him, which i can use in threatening in and all.
But I was pleasantly surprised on coming in here and seeing Zara doing some interesting stretches that had my brain short circuiting for a bit.
I’d recognize this face anywhere. It’s not a face you can ever forget. A face as beautiful and ethereal as hers was impossible to.
She was friends with my little sister in the past, and I saw her lot whenever she came over in one of her tiny dresses and tight pants. I had always liked her, I mean, who wouldn’t? I’ve always imagined pinning her down and f*****g her, but I never did anything about it cause I knew my sister would never forgive me for that. And besides, I knew she was in love with that s**t head drake back then cause I used to overhear her and my little sister gush over it.
Back then, I hated Micah and still do, cause he f****d my girlfriend one summer. I’d have liked to take revenge on him back then by f*****g his little sister but the thought of using her like that never sat right with me. She was always adorable, with her red hair and her pouty lips begging to be devoured.
Staring at her right now made all that hunger foood my lungs fast. She looked a little stressed, but it did nothing to her beauty. She was still as ravishing and frankly, I didn’t care that she now has a child.
That won’t stop me from trying to claim her now.
I didn’t make a move in the past for a lot of reasons. One, my little sister. But now, my little sister was married and across the country.
Two, I didn’t want to hurt her.
And three, because I knew Micah would absolutely have my head back then, since he was friends with kael and kael would undoubtedly help him beat me up— its exactly why I had always loathed kael so much. But now that I was strong, big, and very powerful, I couldn’t give two f***s what Micah or Kael might think.
My eyes returned back to Zara’s face, looking so peaceful in her sleep. I lightly ghosted my thumb over her lips, wondering why she was suddenly back.
I could vividly remember the scandal that took place right before she disappeared, that she cheated on Kael’s dipshit brother. But I knew that wasn’t true. She was too sweet to ever do something like that.
And anyone with eyes back then could clearly see that she was being played by Drake back then.
With a sigh, I forced myself to pull away, then I exited the ward and put a call through to Kael.
Keal, who was my biggest nemesis. Truly, we’ve always been enemies… but after I decided to start up my own gang, he got all pissy and we became hardcore enemies since then.
He answered on the third ring.
“What do you want, asshole?” He demanded.
Fuck. His voice grated on my nerves so much.
“I was wondering… what do you think about Zara?”
He cursed hard. “Where the f**k are you right now?” He roared into the phone and I chuckled while rolling my eyes. He doesn’t scare me, not anymore.
“Don’t you think she’s hot? She’s still pretty as ever and she has a really tight body, one made to be f****d hard.” I crooned, welcoming the image that played over my mind, of me holding her against a wall and f*****g my c**k into her wet heat.
“I’ve always wanted her. I’ve always wanted to f**k her little mouth, always wanted to ruin her. And guess what? She’s coincidentally back in town.”
I dramatically gasped at the end of my sentence,
“I swear to god, if you lay a single hand on her, I’ll f*****g kill you. I swear it, I’ll snap your throat, Tristan.” He growled sharply, sounding like a raging lion.
I rolled my eyes as I exited the hospital, heading for my car.
“Relax, ugh. I’m not gonna f*****g rape her in her sleep. When I f**k her, she’ll be awake, willing and moaning my name as I make her come.” I informed him and he swore bloody murder.
“You’ll not be touching her at all, Tristan. Are you mad? Even if she’s awake, you’ll never get to do any of the trash you just mentioned. And why the f**k were you in that hospital??!”
I rolled my eyes as I got into my car. “I was curious after my men told me you visited there twice today, gotta be sure you weren't planning anything dirty against me.” I started up my car.
He barked out a grating laugh. “Stalking me again, Tristan?”
He’s one to talk.
“Learned from the best.” I reminded him. He’s always having someone watching me and at this point, instead of still trying to get him to stop, I decided to have someone constantly tail him too.
“That’s cause you’re always planning something sneaky and tricky, like a fox.” He spat and I grinned.
“That I am.”
“Well, you’ll never surpass me no matter how hard you try. You’ll always be second best to me.” He drawled and that had genuine anger filling my veins up instantly.
“We’ll see.” I grunted.
I hated being second best so much, especially to someone as infuriating as Kael. My entire life, I’ve been competitive, which is why even though my gang was booming well, I would never be satisfied until I surpassed kael.
“Don’t get any funny ideas, Tristan. Look away from Zara, for your own good,” he suddenly growled, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I barked out a laugh. After seeing Zara tonight, that was gonna be impossible. Micah would undoubtedly lose his s**t if he sees the thoughts running through my mind right now but I don’t care what he thinks, nor do I fear Kael’s threats.
“Why are you the one checking in on Zara? Micah asked you to do that? And why’s she back in town?” I asked.
“Why don’t you mind you business? And keep your nose out of anything concerning Zara. This is a serious warning if you love your life.”
He ended the call after that. The arrogant asshole.
I snorted as I focused on the road again. Keeping my nose out of this is impossible. That’s the thing about being a fox. Once our curiosity gets spiked, we don’t stop snooping until we’ve arrived at the destination.
