The days leading up to the full moon were a blur of restlessness. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was closing in on me, something dark and inevitable. The choice the stranger had spoken of loomed over me like a storm cloud, and every passing hour seemed to bring me closer to the moment where everything would change.
