“Stop right there, we are not done yet”
Sly didn’t say anything as he was going nuts with all the insults K.C was ditching his way and one was worse than the next. Without thinking Sly just faded away and then reappeared by Lulu and the others who felt fear from the bottom of their souls.
“Are the windows opened or something, where did that chill come from? We are going to be comrades Nova there is no need to attack us”.
“I didn’t…”
Max had fought against her and her ice was cold but not creepy at all, the chill he just felt was infused with a tinge of murderous and sinister energy.
“Let’s meet the other two” said Lulu moving the group along
“Coward!”
“HA … take that Sly” said K.C
The group moved on to the next field and the space was huge, a small creature was running and jumping while handling a huge tri-cannon weapon. The cannon rotated and plasma shot came out, after 9 shots, the small creature had to reload a crystal clear magazine with small Cores inside aligned in an ascending snake pattern. Her aim was good, with each shot a Mechanical Doll’s head was blown up. Sly was really impressed, however, many marksmen would say that if they had the same weapon it would be very difficult to miss the target.
Why?
Because the shot was huge!!

A Spider looking object left her hand and increased in size before grabbing hold of another mechanicals doll's head and then…
BOOM
The Bomb exploded destroying another head.
In the meantime, the Mechanical Doll’s did not stay still. Lazers came from all directions but then before they reached the small creature, a kinetic shield appeared like a bubble encasing the small creature and stopping any damage from coming through. The energy then came inside Sami and increased her speed allowing her to leave a couple of after images as she disposed of the remaining dolls.
“Great Job Broxa. Too bad I cant use the big shells since we are starting as level 1s”.
“You’ll be able to in no time, once we are inside the planet” said the 9 ft mini giant standing a few feet behind her.
“Big Sister Lulu! You are back!”
“Yes! Guess what I brought you”
“The new hoverbike with ultrasonic thrusters and 9 inch canons? ”
“Better! Somebody that will ensure that you come out that place alive. Meet your new teammate, his name is Sly”
“That guy… are you suuuure? He doesn’t look that strong; besides, anybody that comes near me from the other city, I am blowing up… Heh Heh”.
“She is my good friend Sly and I entrust her to you. Please make sure she comes back alive, here… a down payment”

“A transfer has been initiated... Would you allow a connection”
“Yes!”
“Steelshadow wants to transfer 1 million E.C would you accept them?”

“Thank you for your patronage... Hello there Sam, I am Sly”
“That is some crazy hair you got there, you want to shoot around with us. I can give you some pointers”
“Sure!”
Broxa just stood on the back and said nice to meet you before the excited Sami took Sly away.
Sly received a small handgun before receiving his first lesson on how to actually use a Gun without the assistance of his chip. Surprisingly enough, the little girl that was 3 ft tall was a genius engineer and all her weaponry had been modified by her. Her race was small but surprisingly strong, she was able to handle the tri-canon that was bigger than she was with no problems. Sami had a very childish face full of black residue from some of her weapons.
She was a member of the Hobbler race, who were distant cousins of the gnomes, the hobblers share their ingenuity, and the occasional mishaps.
Sly was very happy to learn from Sami. Sometimes he behave like an adult but sometimes he let his younger side take over. It was a weird interaction that left the other members of the team perplex.
"I'll leave you guys to it, then" said Lulu before she left to continue her work as zik' s right hand woman"
The following month went by at lightning speed. Sly spent his time trying to know his limits while Millie got comfortable using her dolls again.
Even though his relationship with the rest of the team was great, the fact that he always declined to spar with Nova again, had her raging.
"Sly, is time to go"
"Great! How are we getting there?"
" You'll see," said Max.
Sly took one last look at his room and then followed after Max. They made their way towards the outside and before they went out, Max jumped into his mecha suit and started piloting. Sami had her tri-canon resting on her shoulder while Nova had a sour face the moment she saw Sly coming.
"Let's go, the transfer is happening soon got to get in position"
Zik was looking at his team and was very uneasy. He had spend a lot of money making sure that they were as prepared as possible but news had arrived that his biggest competitor had managed to bring a couple of people from the Mystical Order. Not one but two and one of them was the young genius that was supposed to be unmatched at the commander level, Bodi.
Sly passed by Zik with his mask on and said, "Don't forget what you said … I only take cash"
Zik was brought back to reality before letting out a sneer, " you have to survive first"
Sly moved forward while daydreaming about eating exotic foods and K.C started placing orders on layaway. A system that allowed her to put items on reserve and pay by quotes, once full payment was made, the item was delivered.
The team reach the outside but didn't go far; they stood in the middle of a platform that had some small devices attached to it, forming a little matrix.
"Get ready!"
The illusion of a cube appeared in the sky while many participants waited patiently. Millie on the other hand, felt a crisis come over and immediately used her body possession uniting with Sly before they disappeared from the spot.
The next moment, they appeared in a warp space. They felt that their existence was fading away and then coming back in full force. At that precise moment the team was able to see clearly that Sly was changing from a 16 year old human to a demon, then scarecrow, a Titan and finally an Umdali.
"Woah … what are you?" said Max without paying attention to the second DNA enhanced soldier in the group, Broxa, who was having a similar experience but on a much smaller scale.
The weirdness finished and the fun began. They moved really fast through an ethereal tunnel and felt as if they were going down a water coaster.
YAYYYY!! Sami screamed at the top of her lungs while lifting her hands.
30 seconds later a ring with a portal came into view and when they crossed it, they were standing on another platform inside a beautiful city.
The city was massive and like nothing they had seen before. There were no cold steel protection towers, instead there were white marble walls with gold trims. They were very elegant and regal. Behind them was the portal they came through and it too had an exquisite design.
“Welcome, to the City of Astoria, champions” said a burly man in golden armor.
Behind him stood a small group of soldiers in silver armor arranged in a square formation while beside him stood a very beautiful girl with short hair also wearing silver armor that shone in the sun.
The moment the burly man said champions she sneered and turned her face to the side before saying under her breath, “Champions my ass. All the members of Fintech Corp. died the last time the portal opened!”
It was like a whisper but it was heard by the whole team.
Every Time somebody arrived through the portal displayed the name of the team and only "powerful" teams came directly to the city.
The natives were suppose to act their part and build a nice relationship with the incoming participants but as residents, they knew who was strong and who was not from previous results.
During the final War, strength would be a determining factor on the amount of natives that would survive. Everyone knew that the so-called champions were ruthless killers and once their limiters were removed the weaker side would get slaughter.
