Chapter Fifteen
Daphne still holds Lola close to her chest. Isla's going to be sad when she discovers her favourite human has found a new kitten. But I don't worry about that right now. I just want to see them all and hold the fluff balls in my arms. There's something comforting about the closeness of animals.
I slot my key into the lock of our flat's front door, glad it's just the two of us, well, three if we count Lola. Thomas can't be seen down this corridor very much anyway, and both Ryan and Caspian have class to attend. There's no reason any of us should be messing up our educations, especially when the most immediate problem we have is now solved.
