Chapter Fourteen
The library feels odd now. We haven't been in here in a while, knowing it’s compromised by Feathertop and her cronies. It's not a good, but we do still have the books stashed away safely. No one seems to have done a good search when they arrested Caspian, so those are still safe. We haven't touched them since either, but it's good to know we've kept them out of Feathertop's way.
I lean into Caspian, enjoying his arms around me. Thomas is pacing back and forth in front of us, though I'm not sure what's got him so on edge. Perhaps it's just the tingles in the air from the fact there's been other people in what he sees as our space.
"I'm sorry, we're here," Daphne says, rushing in with Ryan on her heels.
Caspian lets go of me so I can kiss Ryan hello.
