Eva
Jasper shunned me. He did not want me near him. I had to find out what he was thinking.
Despite my purely dark heart I still felt our fated bond and never would I do that to him.
My frustration was getting to me and I had to get my mind off Jasper for a while.
Suddenly the whole reason for that fateful night came to mind. I found Gabby. I was too wrapped up in my bond with Jasper to remember my best friend who I now knew where she was located.
I remembered my mom mentioning it to me while fighting to save my light. I was learning to control my Hell gifted powers and too preoccupied to pay attention. My nauseatingly light mother may actually be of some assistance.
I made my way down the stairs to find my mother. As I stepped into the kitchen I found her leaning on the counter, head in her hands. She was obviously exasperated but I did not care.
“Mom, what is going on with Gabby? I need to get her out!”
“Eva!!! Seriously?! After what just happened I do not think you are in the best place to be assisting. You will not tell us anything. You just used your dark powers to bring Jasper back from the dead while blackening his heart. I am disappointed to say the least. Despite all that I still have hope for your redemption,” my mother replied as tears began to form in her eyes.
Her emotions had no effect on me. I solely needed her help and knew exactly how to gain it.
“Fine, you do not want to help. I will just do it myself,” I proudly stated.
“No, you will not! We have been scouting out the house. Alex is back and he's been bringing a woman who looks very similar to the witch Jess described. We brought your grandmother Susan to check if we could reach Gabby telepathically but there’s a new extremely powerful spell formed around the home. He is covering his bases.”
“Well, we have the most powerful light angels on our side and if I may say, you also have the most powerful dark fated love as well now that Jasper is dark. I think we can handle a psychotic weak broken angel and some random dark witch.”
“As much as I hate your darkness for this situation you may be right. I will speak to Jess and Landon but if we are going to do this we need to do it soon. While the telepathic barrier is up, the home is not completely sound proof. We brought our werewolf friend Xander out the other night and he heard crying coming from the lower part of the home, likely the basement. I worry since he knows we found her what he will do."
“Then let's go now!” I shouted.
“I said soon! We need to plan. Alex may be a troubled Angel but he has proven his strength when he killed Jasper. He is not afraid to play dirty and the reason we have not gone yet is because we believe it to be a trap. A trap for you.”
“Okay… So, what is your plan?” I question in a sarcastic tone.
“Lose the attitude honey. It actually goes along with your plan of combining light and dark. You need to speak to Jasper while I bring in Derek and Gabby's parents,” my mother replied before explaining her scheme.
After hearing what she was arranging I was torn. This required Jasper's help and I was not wanting to speak to him after his earlier dismissal. That being said I had to save Gabby and he was a vital part to the plan.
Making my way to his door I raise my hand to knock before stopping myself when I hear him speaking.
“Okay, let me know when to meet you. I miss you,” Jasper said in a caring tone to an unknown caller.
This was too much. I did not bother knocking as I entered his room. With a look of both shock and anger he hurried and hung up the phone.
Mimicking his expression I glare as I felt my wings begin to protrude from my back. He was going to receive my wrath.
My dark extensions now fully spread I could feel the power radiating off me, as could he. Jasper backed himself to the corner of his bedroom before beginning to speak.
“E! You do not need to do that! I am not telling you what that was but I promise on our fated bond it was not what you are thinking!” Jasper attempted to explain.
“From what I heard and experience today our bond does not mean very much to you!” I shouted while sending the dresser flying his direction.
Jasper stops it with his own powers before continuing.
“Eva, that was something for you. Can you calm down instead of throwing furniture so we can talk? I have a feeling there’s a reason you came up here in the first place.”
He brought me back to the moment but this was not over. I reminded myself I needed to focus on rescuing Gabby. I would deal with Jasper's indiscretions later.
Tucking my wings away I took a seat on his bed where we had made mind-blowing love only a few hours prior. Our dark powers intertwined in ways I had not fathomed.
That thought calmed me as I used my powers to push the dresser back to it’s original position before gesturing for Jasper to sit next to me.
I did not question about the call. Instead I told him what he had to do. To my surprise he immediately agreed. He and I needed to contact his father. That was where we would start.
