Third Person POV
Gabby sat in the dark basement of Alex's home with her hands holding her face as tears streamed down. Two years she waited to escape with her young daughter. Two long, arduous years she and her precious Ariel spent confined within the cold dark walls.
After Gabby’s mother learned of her pregnancy she was terrified. Gabby had planned to leave with her child once the baby was born which was why she attempted to turn everyone against her.
The most difficult was Eva. She was the person Gabby was closest with and because of that Gabby took extreme measures to end their friendship. She did not want anyone to come find her and especially did not want Eva trying to talk her out of it or giving up her life here to join her.
Her mother finding out destroyed her plans. Gabby knew now that her mother was aware she would never allow her to leave with her grandbaby but Gabby did not want to add more work for her mother who already had her hands full raising her younger sister.
Gabby’s selflessness put both herself and her child in grave danger. In her mind, she now had to get away ahead of schedule.
Packing only what was necessary in her school bag she left early in the morning to avoid her parents. Gabby headed towards the bus station located about a mile away from her home aware she had to pass her attacker’s residence on her journey.
Unknown to Gabby, Alex was awake and lurking. He suspected she would try to escape with his child and despite his dark mentality he was not going to lose his offspring, especially to someone with a heart as light as Gabby's.
As Gabby made her way towards the strip of road where Alex's house was located she pulled up the hood on the oversized jacket she wore. Nervously, she continued her treck.
Alex gleefully witnessed it all. He had been waiting ever since Eva had dropped him into the freezing depths of their local lake.
He quietly left through his front door before spreading his dark wings and taking flight. Soaring overhead he watched his victim attempt to hide her identity. It was time.
Alex nose dived from his position in the sky before landing directly in front of a terrified Gabby. Unknown to him Gabby had prepared for this situation. Grabbing a switchblade she placed on her waistband she opened it as Alex swiftly approached. Being too distracted by his success he did not notice the sharp object Gabby wielded. With a swift motion she managed to push the blade into his stomach, twisting in hopes of doing as much damage as possible.
Unaware Alex had a dark witch at his disposal the red haired beauty momentarily believed she succeeded. Alex gripped his stomach as anger overtook his features.
“I needed that life you stupid b****!” the enraged angel screamed.
Gabby began to run before she felt arms wrap around her from behind. As she was only a half angel she had no abilities to protect herself against him.
Alex picked up the mother of his child and rushed back to his home. As blood poured from the wound he pushed Gabby into the basement. Initially he had planned to provide a room to her and his child but after she attempted to kill him the basement felt like a more suited location.
By this point his life was dwindling as he collapsed onto his kitchen floor. His dark witch, Amara, had provided him with three lives. One he had already lost and now a second was taken.
Gabby spent two weeks in the basement before Alex returned. Thankfully he stored canned food and bottled water within the underground cement walls so she was able to eat and drink. Next to the storage a small restroom was built. There was no shower but the dirty old sink allowed her to stay clean.
After Alex returned from Limbo life became worse. He was furious at Gabby for killing him, leaving him with only one more life to spare.
He left her in the basement with a chain around her ankle. He would come down three times a day to feed and unlock her so Gabby could relieve and clean herself.
After a month Alex brought Amara to visit. She was beautiful with dark eyes, long dark hair and olive skin. With a stern voice he ordered the dark witch to cast a spell around his home preventing Gabby from escaping or using her power of telepathy.
Gabby had already put a block up of her own prior to being abducted and had yet to manage to remove it but she had been close. The new spell caused her to break down, losing all hope of ever leaving the terror she found herself in.
Another month past before Gabby was awoken in the night by a sharp pain in her stomach. Soon it wrapped around her back hitting her every few minutes. Gabby was in labor.
Terrified, she attempted to get Alex’s attention. Grabbing a can off a shelf which was in reach she threw it towards the ceiling. Hearing nothing, she repeated to no avail. Before long, Gabby found herself standing in a pool of liquid.
By this point the contractions were too painful and Gabby could no longer stand. She collapsed to the floor. Grabbing a dress Alex had given her she wrapped a piece in her hand to squeeze while laying the rest beneath her.
After hours of grueling labor her daughter was born. Alex appeared soon after to find Gabby cradling their baby girl. He rushed down the stairs with anger clearly written upon his face.
“It's a girl!” he screamed, staring down at the child with pure hatred in his eyes.
“Yes, her name is Ariel,” Gabby softly replied.
“Well, you have a new cell mate,” Alex stated before storming up the stairs.
Gabby and Ariel lived in the basement together. The new mother did her best to raise her daughter under the terrible circumstances. Alex provided them with books which Gabby would read constantly to Ariel. The young girl proved to be highly intelligent. Ariel was not chained nor was a spell cast to stop her powers from forming.
Being the daughter of a full and half angel, Ariel was likely to be blessed with heavenly abilities. At 18 months Gabby was awoken to a small voice in her head. Her daughter could communicate telepathically. She could help Gabby break through the spell stopping her own abilities.
For the following six months the pair worked on removing the spell. One night Gabby heard Alex scolding someone towards the front of the house, right above where she was chained. It was not long before she realized it was Eva.
Quickly Gabby woke Ariel and together they worked to finally break through the enchantment. Gabby’s head was pounding as she attempted to contact her best friend.
At last, she broke through. Hearing Eva dismiss her broke her heart. Terror flooded Gabby's thoughts, believing she and Ariel would be stuck in their Hell forever.
