Reincarnated ?
Clark's POV
Yeah this is life.
Black slick-back hair, flawless face, white pearly teeth smile, expensive brand wrist watch, suit, tie, shoes clacking against beautifully tiled floor, dozens of men following after me in a thousand feet tall skyscraper building with thousands of other employees all under my control.
Yeah, this is bliss; my previous life doesn't hold a spark to this current life of mine.
I mean, how can the life of a mere servant to an old country's princess be compared to that of a multi billionaire in his sweet twenty's, tsk its way too incomparable.
Rather than receiving orders and running around to carry them out, I give orders and watch as people scramble around to carry them out to please me.
Hah what power
Gone is the life where I had to please that bratty snobby spoilt princess. This is a life well deserved.
These are thoughts that run through my head everyday.
I can't help it, to think that after all that suffering I'd be reincarnated to a world where the princess doesn't exist, it's...
"Hey stop that, you can't go in there!"
Wow, way to break me off from my train of early morning grateful thoughts with such an annoying voice.
It's not the usual morning where everyone is busy going around their daily routine but an unusual one where some poorly dressed peasant girl is causing a scene in front of the VIP elevator.
'Damn, all this nuisance on a Monday morning' I groaned quietly as I saw the girl being pushed to the ground, the guard in front of the elevator who had pushed her bowed to me in greeting with his still annoying voice.
"Take care of things more quietly mister" I ordered with a threatening smile which made the man even more nervous than he was before as he kept bowing.
"I'm sorry sir, I'll take her out quietly" he apologized just as the lady stood up, her back to us.
Ignoring her, I entered the elevator and turned around to face the door and like slow motion the elevator door began to slowly slide shut just as the girl slowly turned to face me and just before the door finally closes her eyes met mine and God the chills that ran down my spine.
Light brown cold looking eyes, it can't be...
But there's no way I'd ever forget those eyes even though they had looked slightly shaded, covered under menacingly unkempt bangs.
Even if I lived a thousand lives I will always remember those brown orbs that always stared down at me, that always challenged me to say no, that even tormented me in my dreams.
The eyes of a living nightmare that belonged to none other than princess Catra of the old kingdom of Ontope.
Shit, even the mere thought of her name makes me tremble. I can't believe she was reincarnated too and now she's here. What could she want?
"Lucas" I called to one of the men by my side after getting a grip of my thoughts.
"Yes Mr. Anderson?" The young man responded alert.
"The lady at the front of the elevator just now" I began "find out everything about her, I want a report by noon"
"Yes sir" he answered without further inquiry just as the elevator door dings open at the hundredth and fifth floor that occupied my office alone, the other guys going back down to their respective post.
A world where Princess Catra exist too' I thought as I stepped into my office and sat on my swirling chair.
"Interesting"
"See what you've caused miss?" The guard bellowed once the elevator door slide shut after his boss "I've told you severally to leave, what is wrong with you?"
The lady huffed at that as she swiftly turned and glared at him making the man take a step back due to the scary aura emanating from her just then.
She sighs at his reaction and in a moment her angry face dissolved into that of a cute one as she pursed her lips out in a pout while batting her lashes at the man.
"That's why I kept asking you nicely to let me see the chairman of this company" the lady tsked as she sassily flipped her hair, folded her arms and turned to face the other way from the man "if you had done that, then you wouldn't be in whatever the mess you say you're in right now"
The guard sighs in annoyance as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"The chairman is a very busy man so you can't see him without an appointment" the man slowly explained as if to a child. "Go make one and come back later"
"Look, I don't need an appointment to see him" the lady retorted "I saw a seer yesterday and she told me that once I'm able to see the chairman today, that I'll automatically be able to secure a good job here and once I do..." She paused to wiggle her brows suggestively at the man "I'll take you out for a drink or two so what do you say hmm?" With a sly smile and an expectant look she finished her speech.
.
.
.
"Wait, wait, put me down right nowww... urg!" The lady groaned as her ass took the harsh impact of the sudden push to the ground
"And stay out!" The guard warned before banging the back door of the company that was actually facing the company's garage shut
'Damn it that man is rude' the lady said in annoyance as she stood up while dusting herself up.
"You just wait until I get the job; you'll regret treating me like this you bastard!" She shouted directed at the man who probably didn't get to hear her since he was long gone.
‘am I doing the right thing though?’ she suddenly paused to think as she looked up at the tall building ‘what if that damn shaman is wrong again and I just end up making a huge mess of things and embarrass myself?’ her face turned into a scowl at that last thought.
“I’m so going to kill her if that happens” she gritted out until a certain silver looking placard caught her attention. Written on it in bold black letters were the words ‘THE CEO’ and behind it stood the most expensive black car she’s ever seen.
As if an imaginary bulb had been switched on at the back of her mind, her face lit up and a smile occupied her lips.
Guess today was her lucky day.
“Sir, the report” Lucas said as he presented a file to Clark who had previously been busy with another paperwork but he dropped it anyway to focus all his attention on the file he had just been handed, although he did not open it until Lucas was gone.
“Now, now” he said with a smirk as he flipped it open “indeed how the tables have turned for us princess Catra” his smirk grew wider at the information in the file.
“Sir your meeting with the manager of the company’s branch in china by four is in a few minutes’ times now” Lucas reminded through the walkie talkie kind of electronics in the office.
“Hmm, let’s be on our way then” Clark answered satisfied “we don’t want to keep our guest waiting”
With that he was up and out, a smirk still plastered on his face.
‘Does she also remember her past life and is here to seek me; her servant out hmm? She is in for a surprise’ Clark thought as he reached his car where the driver held the door open to usher him in before getting on himself after closing the door after his boss.
‘The me of today is different from the me of then, I’ll never bend to her whims or will and if she thinks otherwise she in for a …’
He’s suddenly cut off by the sudden jerk of the car to a stop breaking him off his thought.
With gritted teeth, he was about to hull insults at his driver but the words die in his throat when he caught sight of the reason for the sudden stop.
Standing in front of the car with her arms stretched out by her sides and the car’s headlight illuminating her slender figure brightly is none other than Catra Jones who he had known as princess Catra.
His breath hitched and suddenly he feels he’s meeting her sooner than he bargained for.
